The moment I opened the door I was greeted with a musty, moist scent. Now, I travel with room spray in case something like this happens, but it gets you worried about mold. I noticed that the air unit hadn't been on, so maybe that was the deal? I had to call down to the front desk just to check the time. The clock in my room was an hour behind, and I honestly thought I might have crossed into another time zone. Can it actually be that the room hadn't been used since daylight savings? Hm...Maybe everyone uses their cellphone now. Breakfast was a bust. It was crazy packed at a quarter to nine, so I had to shuffle out into the lobby with my plate. The ginormous vat of oatmeal was a no go, having been reduced to a congealed layer. Cereal then? Maybe not-- there was about a half inch of milk sitting out in a carton on the counter. It was nice that they offered french toast and bacon in addition to the standard waffle-matic machine. Breakfast potatoes too, which were(of course ) empty. Free wi-fi, coffee and tea in the lobby. I would probably try a different hotel if I had to stay again, but all in all, nothing was bad.

They offered some things by Pendleton Woolen Mills at $53 wallets to around $300 for coats, but it's pricey if you're insisting on cash only, but that's my opinion. Most importantly, the casino has no taxes because you're on the Menominee reservation. So, it is what it is. They had photos along the wall close to the gift shop. Just kidding. There is a bathroom, but it is located towards the end of the hall. There is a men's washroom and a women's washroom, complete with a stand up shower and sink (and toilet). If you are looking for the following: *Luxury *Air conditioned splendor *Suites or executive style beds *Continental Breakfast You will not find those here. What you will find is peace, quiet and one of the most beautiful views of Lake Michigan you have ever seen, at an affordable price. As well as the rooms, Gibson's offers several cabins to rent as well, however, if you are looking to book a cabin, you better know you need one about a year and a half in advance because that's how far out the bookings are! If you just want to enjoy the beauty of Washington Island without breaking your bank, Gibson's is the way to go. It's old fashioned, it's beat up, but it feels like home.
