It is clear they have done many interior and exterior updates! Much of the cottage appeared to have a fresh coat of paint, it was very clean and the view could not better. Everyone was so welcoming and we loved it so much we tried to book our next stay there before we left. We have stayed all over Door County, this is our absolute favorite spot and favorite vacation yet.

The two window air conditioning units in each bedroom were so loud we could not sleep. The exterior doors did not close properly so it never got cool in the cottage. The only reason I can give them 1 star is it's on the water, but it in no way makes up for the dirtiness. One last thing I find absurd they charge a $50.00 cleaning fee!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The view from the front porch is beautiful: the beach, the harbor and Peninsula State Park. The newer building includes three units. The upstairs unit includes two bedrooms, two full baths, a full kitchen, a fireplace and a newer cable TV and a great view of the harbor. The cost during the summer is around $1,600 including taxes and an additional amount ($20/day per person) for guests.

I ordered the "Closed Doorwich," and it was seriously one of the tastiest, most memorable sandwiches I've ever had! The caramelized apples?! c'mon! You can't go wrong with either of their chips or potato salad on the side- both were excellent. The staff was friendly and the service was great. I highly recommend sitting on the back patio if you can- very open, clean, and quaint. We will be back to try that cherry stuffed french toast!

Love the Make-up washcloth- so freakin' soft! Lots of pillows, with no real place to put them at bedtime. The pillows are also a little to full to be comfortable for the way I sleep. I wish there was a way to turn off the outside light, it never gets completely dark inside at night. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it. It was mostly quiet and comfortable.

I added a few water birbs to my life list by walking along the shore right across from the motel. The check-in process was extremely smooth, and they were very communicative throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, super cute, and had all the little bonus amenities that one may need for a weekend getaway - mini fridge, microwave, etc. Our rooms were on the second floor and had little balconies with Adirondack chairs which we enjoyed. And now the best part - the bed. The bed and pillows were some of the comfiest I have ever slept on. My friend took pictures of the pillow tags because we were both amazed at how terrific we slept and how cozy the sleeping situation was. This was my first time in Door Co. and a terrific experience. I cannot wait to return to Spruce and Shore.
