Not that you want to be in need of these types of services but I would HIGHLY recommend this family owned business. I was in need of a company the night of a family member passing (was not planned ahead). They were extremely prompt beyond professional and caring ... they showed up in suits and listened compassionately to anyone who needed to tell them a story without any impatience or annoyance (at 2 am in the morning) after that communication was prompt and they walk you gently through the whole process. Also, if you choose you can be on site as the cremation occurs (not necessary but it's also not an option at all places). On top of all of this I unfortunately needed another cremation service across the state 2 weeks later for my own mom and not knowing any companies in the area I called the owner and he was again so kind and made some calls with mutual contacts to find me a trusted caring service where I was at. As painful as those few weeks were using this family owned business saved me that much heartache by not having to navigate a confusing system with some giant impersonal operation. read more

Sorry I am late on this but in October Edgley Crematory handled my Moms remains and were totally professional and comforting in a tough time. These days with Yelp I try to make my points known on every instance I am involved in to help others out... It is strange to say "Wahoo as good as it gets" due to the situation but what I am saying is that they are tremendous people and very thoughtful and more than reasonable (especially in a situation you never know f and are very vulnerable). We were from out of state NY as well and to have them with us from the moment we stepped in helped so much. They are like a family when you come in and all the way through the process. They were highly recommended as number one by the staff at Bethesda Hospital hospice and we are grateful for that. Seems strange to write a review of a crematorium, but here I am. At a time of true and desperate sorrow, John Edgley gave us solace in knowing our father was now in the care of a good man. When our dad passed away last week, Edgley Cremation services was recommended to our family by a local church. John Edgley arrived at the hospice unit within 45 minutes of receiving our call; it was immediately clear John was a good and kind man who would take extra care with dad, would honor dad's life with dignity and respect, and would provide comfort to our family. Less important but certainly relevant, John's rates were FAR more reasonable than any other service recommended to us. What started out to be a happy Christmas surprise for our son Conner, turned out to be the worst day of our lives. Just days before we were to leave for the visit, we were informed that our son had passed away. We were in a total fog in terms of, is this really happening. We were trying to wrap our heads around this horrible nightmare. Since we're not from Florida, we had no idea who to call or see. Our daughter took over , checking places out & making the necessary appointments . She was looking into the most reputable and good crematoriums, and there is where she found Edgley Crematory. She spoke to John, whom she said, felt like she was talking to a family member. When we met with John, our daughter hit it right on the mark. John is such a gentle, compassionate, thoughtful of all your feelings type of person ,which is wonderful when people are at the darkest time in their life. He went thru the process with us with such compassion and care, which I think is so needed at times like these.
