I found succulents here that I've never seen anywhere, including at nurseries in southern California that I visit twice yearly. One in particular, Chinese dunce cap, I've been hunting for for two years during my travels and have finally found it here, in Amarillo, Texas of all places! I have had the opportunity to buy it online, but I prefer to buy in person from quality nurseries. They have helpful photos with descriptions and directions for care posted above most of the plants. As we walked through the succulent greenhouse Tracy walked along with us offering helpful advice and taking our picks to the counter so we didn't have to carry them around. Afterward we went to the outdoor/perennial area where we were met by Val and she graciously offered us a guided tour through their lovely rock/cactus garden pointing out plants that are hardy for our growing zone. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back every time we visit Amarillo!
