close up of flowers. They lasted over 2 weeks.

I wanted to send flowers to my cousin's Memorial Gathering which was in a different state from the Funeral. I stumbled across Edible Arrangements and thought maybe instead of flowers, I would go with this company. I was delighted with this option and so were the recipients. I chose a large Sympathy Arrangement with Fruit/chocolate with extras (vase of flowers and a dozen cookies). I couldn't tell from the photos if they would really be great in person but my cousin's daughter said everything was amazing, delicious and looked beautiful. I can't wait to use Edible Arrangements again whenever an occasion comes up. They far exceeded my expectations.

Did you know that Edible Arrangements also makes smoothies, shakes and fruit bowls and parfaits? Really, I had no clue until we went next door to UPS and saw the sign. And they are quite tasty and so fresh. I use edible arrangements all the time for gifts. While it can be on the pricey side, it just a gift that all people tend to enjoy. And if you purchase so many gifts, you can earn rewards. I had earned said reward and was having a difficult time using it online so I called the store direct and they helped me so fast and quickly and pick-up was a breeze. Of course along with my free reward, I had to get a smoothie. They use agave nectar in their smoothies but if you prefer your smoothie sugar free just ask them to remove this and they will gladly leave it out for you. On a previous visit, the lady gave us all free chocolate fruit to sample and this made the kiddo very happy. On my last visit, they had free and pretty 2016 calendars. The staff is always pleasant. There is a lady there named Eileen who is the bees knees. Seriously. She is just so happy and makes me feel happy about being there.

Chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries. These were eaten a little faster than I could take a picture.

Lucky me, got chocolate covered strawberries and chocolates for Valentine's Day. Guess somebody loves me? Strawberries were delicious. I'm not generally a fan of chocolates with filling, but all of these were delicious and they didn't survive 24 hours from time of delivery. If you're out of gift ideas for any occasion, try edible arrangements.

My wife loved the chocolates. Thinking of getting here a small item every week until she tries them all.

It was our first time visiting Charlotte, and after seeing that the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., we figured it would be the perfect way to end the evening. We arrived just a few minutes before closing, but since we only planned to order a couple of scoops of gelato, we expected to be in and out quickly. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Rather than greeting us or welcoming us, the employee immediately said, "Hey guys, by the way, we close in two minutes." There was no hello or friendly interaction. As we ordered, one member of our party asked to sample a couple of flavors, and the employee seemed visibly inconvenienced. When I asked if they had caramel drizzle, her response was simply, "No," with no warmth or attempt to offer an alternative. I completely understand that arriving close to closing can be frustrating for employees, and we were mindful of the time. However, the doors were still open, the posted business hours indicated the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., and we were respectful customers who knew what we wanted and intended to order quickly. What was most disappointing wasn't that they were closing soon--it was how unwelcome we were made to feel. As first-time visitors to Charlotte and Ballantyne, this wasn't the hospitality we expected. Customer service matters just as much during the last few minutes of business as it does throughout the rest of the day. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to remind staff that every customer deserves to feel welcomed, regardless of when they walk through the door during posted business hours.

On this particular visit, I sat on the patio, which I had never done before, but it was nice and quiet and very relaxing on a Sunday evening. I ordered the cheesecake and it was garnished with caramel popcorn, which added a nice touch to look at, but the popcorn was stale so I don't really think it was necessary, but it did make the plate look pretty. The cheesecake was delicious. Couldn't finish it all, but I took it home and finished it the next day. Our server was great. She was very attentive, friendly, and gave good suggestions. But a good friend of mine said that they go all the time and haven't had any issues and wanted to get me to try it again. So, we went on a Saturday evening around 6ish. We didn't necessarily have any issues getting in, but the hostess did say that her security might have an issue with the shirt my friend had on, even though he was very dressed up. It made me uncomfortable and seemed threatning almost. But she let us in and everything was fine. I don't understand why Crave always acts this way. But then when I walk in I see people of non-color dressed any kind of way, casual, etc. It just really rubs me the wrong way and for it to happen to me EVERY time I go, only leads me to one conclusion... So, anyway. We were there and we ordered hookah drinks and had a good time. Our server was super sweet and chill. She really saved the visit. I had a good time, but I most likely will not be back again.

Although brownies are not currently on the menu until next month I was able to purchase their vanilla based ice cream that was full of brownie pieces and dark chocolate. I have nothing but good things to say about chocolatier Blair Potts and his friendly wife Margo. Because this is a chocolatier shop and everything is made from scratch, of course the costs are not the same as your average candy store or supermarket. Everything I've ever purchased from that shop was absolutely amazing and worth every penny.
