Appreciate the history of the shop and selected it based on what it seemed to present online. I wanted to place an order in a sensitive moment of life, which shouldn't be novel for a florist. Sadly, there was a severe lack of sensitivity and attention to detail. Overpriced for what it is! Definite room for improvement-- I would look elsewhere. read more

Called the shop to order flowers for my mother, I spoke with Shelby and she was so amazing and helpful. They exceeded my expectations! The arrangement was ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY! Amazing customer service and answered all my questions I had. I've ordered from them multiple times and they always do amazing! Was disappointed in the rose petals as they were looking wilted and brown. The hydrangeas and flowers stems had brown dots all over them like mold. Spent close to $100 for one arrangement. They came same day which was nice. read more

I am livid! I ordered these for my mom for Christmas based on the picture (shown) but at the premium cost, so the total was $100 before the delivery. Instead of flowers they PLOPPED an atrocious, gaudy ornament in the middle. I called them about this. The response was that, "the picture online is two-years old," and they instead used "more expensive flowers." Which I informed them that they should have called me with options. They offered me a discount on my next order. Why do they think I would ever order from them again? Terrible. read more

Searched google & Yelp for a floral shop to place an order to have flowers sent to my sister who lost her beloved fur baby over the weekend. I found this place, and then when to their FaceBook to see what reviews they had and to see if they are active on there. A really cute arrangement caught my eye. I called when they opened and talked to one of the sweetest people. She was very friendly and explained their process (email to confirm order, notification when it was delivered). I then called back to see if they had any picture frames to go along with my order. She sent me pictures and without hesitation, added it to my order. Never to complain or sound aggravated. It was a beautiful arrangement for my sister, and my sister loved them both!! Being so far away it's hard to trust that some places will deliver quality product. Ordered my friend flowers for her birthday and it's definitely not what I ordered or expected her to get. I get that flowers are seasonal but this didn't even come close to what was depicted. Last year, the arrangement was gorgeous. I'm not sure what happened this year but I'm unsatisfied with it. Julie and her staff are patient with my "do whatever you want" requests and I have always been blown away with their creativity and selection. Depending on the type of flower you want, Midwood's arrangements typically last for 10 days-2 weeks, plus. Most flowers are so fresh you will see the flowers open over time, which I really enjoy! I've found this shop to be worth every penny and they will allow you to drop off a vase and pick it up the next day, which can save you money if you're a frequent flier, like me. Give them enough time to accommodate you and they will. Enjoy this one of a kind local florist and ignore any negative or dissatisfied customers, some people are never happy. Feel like I owe it to this place to offset the one star review so here's my experience. We needed a quick arrangement of white roses for our NYE party and called here only based on it's close location to where we were eating lunch at the time. The place is a little hard to find. Once your find it and enter you'll notice they also sell antique furniture and accoutrements up front of the store. This is a family owned business and they were all super nice to deal with and worked with us in the quickest manor. I found this place by chance as I was trying to call another flower shop I looked up. But little did I know it was fate. Alicia was friendly and helpful all the way through. I'm not the greatest when it comes to what I want with flower arrangements and was on a hike restriction as it was same day. I had a terrible experience with Midwood Flowers and when the problem arose Julie chose not only to not correct the problem, instead passing it to another florist, but also to blame me, the recipient, for any problems in communication with the originator of the order. I spoke to the lady there and described my friend, while also looking at their online offerings. The result was amazing in that my friend was thrilled by the arrangement and the flower shop (as well as my delighted friend) sent me a photo of what was delivered as well. They chose flowers that were graceful and elegant - like my friend. Not over the top - understated beauty. I appreciated the chat I had with the very nice lady who took my order. I live in Maryland and did a google search for NC florists. I called Midwood Flower Shop at 9 this morning (Tuesday of Thanksgiving week) to have flowers delivered same day to my daughter at her work Uptown. They guaranteed delivery by 5pm even though delivery is tough in that part of town and it is Thanksgiving week. The flowers arrived by 11am and they were beautiful!!
