THEN there was a cupcake. Edible Arrangements Store #1487 on Big Bend Road in Riverview is under new management and my first impression is that they are AWESOME and trying very hard to improve their past declining reputation and gain the trust of their customers once again. In my recent experiences they have done just that. I placed an order for a Father's Day gift, but changed the order via telephone the same day, well ahead of scheduled delivery the day before Father's Day. Unfortunately, when my order was delivered, they delivered the original order, not the changed order, and I did not accept the delivery. I immediately called the store to inform them and they were very apologetic, assured me that they would deliver the correct order that same day, and they did. Also, as an Edible Arrangements account member, I was thrilled to receive a free 12-count of chocolate dipped strawberries and a balloon for my birthday month from this store. These are my favorites, and we're huge and very sweet & delicious! In the past, I've received a combination of chocolate dipped apples, bananas & strawberries for my birthday month, but this year, to receive all strawberries and a birthday balloon was most impressive! This is the most unprofessional and irresponsible Edible Arrangements store I've ever ordered from. They completely ruined my anniversary gift, forgetting to add a vase with a bouquet of flowers that was ordered, and completely omitting three other parts of our orders. When I called, he was very dismissive and said they were out of the product ordered. I also ordered a customizable card and he said his printer ink was out so he wasn't going to send us our card. Had I known that our order was going to be missing so many items, I would have ordered from a different store, even if I had to drive farther. The day it was meant to be delivered they called to say the recipient wasn't home but that they would try again the next day. They never tried again, never notified me, and never refunded me. I had an unfortunate experience with this location. The short version is: I live in another state, and tried to send my Mom a small arrangement for Valentines Day, and the order never showed up. Was contacted via email by a manager ( told that it would be delivered on the 15th (it was not), the 16th (it was not), and the 17th (it was not). Ultimately, the only option I was given was to cancel the order and request a refund on the 18th via a 30 minute call with corporate. The long version is: Again, I ordered a small arrangement for my Mom who lives about 10 minutes from this location. The order never showed up, and then a little after midnight the following day, I received a very polite email from Delwyn, the store manager at that location, who explained that their resources delivered very late, and they unfortunately started their orders very late and were not able to deliver mine. Delwyn continued and explained that he wanted to offer a refund on the delivery charge, a free add on, store credit in the amount of my original purchase, and then noted that they would remake my order and deliver it during the next day (the 15th). I replied to the email, thanked him for letting me know the situation, and accepted the generous offer. The 15th went by, the order was never delivered, and I wasn't contacted about any issue. I tried to contact the store on the 16th via phone, however after multiple attempts, I was forwarded to a corporate call center, who advised that the location was forwarding their calls because they were too busy to be able to field any calls. I explained the reason I was calling, and the contents of the email I received, and the representative said that she would send a message to the store. After that call, I received another email stating that the delivery fee had been refunded, and the order was now scheduled for 17th. The 17th came and went, and again, no delivery, no contact. So today, the 18th, I attempted to call the store again, and was forwarded to the corporate again, and I explained the situation again. The representative put me on hold for some time, and came back to tell me that the store would not answer her call either, and asked what I would like to do. At that point, I just asked to cancel the order, and was told I would be issued a refund within 7-10 business days. While I understand that Valentines Day is a particular busy time for this type of establishment, and logistical issues do happen, my frustration ultimately stems from being told "Sorry, Tomorrow", "Sorry, Tomorrow", "Sorry, Tomorrow" and never actually being able to talk to any one other than corporate reps who unfortunately weren't able to help either. When I called with a complaint store could not find any of my or the recipient's information. I was told that the manager will call me back which they never did. I was able to talk to the manager after 3 days of trying. The manager was no help would not issue a refund or deliver my order and referred me to Edible HQ for a refund. HQ was no help either I was told that the charge was a temporary hold by the merchant, not an actual charge (it was a charge according to the Discover). I had to place the charge into dispute. People working there are not responsible and untrained in customer service being unable to take a simple order and keep the information in the system. It was a mistake on my part to place this order with this particular merchant and it will never happen again. I wouldn't recommend this store to anybody.
