    Dry roses
    Rebecca R.

My grandma Received flowers for my cousin who ordered them for her from out of state, and I was really disappointed with the quality. When they arrived, the flowers already looked very old, extremely dry. It was really sad because this was meant to be a special surprise, but they wont even last a week , I appreciate the thought my cousin put into sending them, but unfortunately, the arrangement didn't arrive fresh or in good condition.

    moldy

I ordered a fruit bouquet for my granddaughter's birthday. When the bouquet was opened fruit flies came out. There was a moldy strawberry and the banana was brown. I contacted the store to get a new bouquet sent to my granddaughter. I sent pictures also. I was told that they would never send bad fruit and it was not their fault. I was told they would do nothing to correct the situation. This was very disappointing as I had spent $150 on this bouquet that my granddaughter could not enjoy. It was a sad experience.

Expecting a delivery all day for Christmas.... Never came , no update . Terrible would not recommend

    Flower arrangement

VERY disappointed with the quality of the flower arrangement. They were supposed to be fresh but what they delivered was DRY, OLD and poor effort. Another issue is that the fruit tasted frozen instead of fresh.

My husband sent me roses with a vase and half a dozen of chocolate covered strawberries. They were delicious and the strawberries were giant and fresh!! I will definitely be using this location in the future. I ate the strawberries before I can get a picture

The picture below shows the order I received from the Avondale store!

I can't thank Surprise Edible Arrangements enough for going above and beyond to make things right! I had a delivery issue for Valentine's Day where the chocolates were melted, and despite several promises from another store, I was left waiting for 8 days with unfilled promises. However, Shirley and Enriquetta took charge and truly made up for the mistakes of another store. They tracked down the store that caused the problem, had their driver, Willy, deliver my order immediately, and my new arrangement was absolutely perfect. The flowers were fresh and beautiful, and the chocolate-covered strawberries were amazing! The whole family loved them and even wanted to place another order (with the surprise store, of course). Their dedication to customer service is unmatched, and I'm incredibly grateful for how they handled the situation. Highly recommend--these three employees know how to turn a bad experience into a memorable one! 5+ stars! Thank you! The picture below is an example of the bad service I received from the other store, NOT from the Surprise Store. Their arrangement was fresh and beautiful.

I had a great experience here this evening. The Edible Arrangements driver attempted to deliver my arrangement this afternoon, but I was in the shower and missed it. I was planning on calling and figuring out what the next steps were when I got off work, but the manager beat me to it and called me around 5:15. She said I could come pick it up or they could redeliver. I explained that I had to get changed and ready and she replied that she'd wait for me at the store past closing! I'd never heard of something like that in today's day. Needless to say, her gesture was appreciated and I have been united with my arrangement once and for all. And it's delicious.

in Surprise shop wilted flower arrangements for sale indicator to me lack of attention to perishable products for sale just like their food

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! I received a large edible fruit arrangement as a birthday gift from a relative from the Surprise AZ store #474 on Bell Road near Kohl's. The chocolate dipped strawberries were rotten. Pineapple hard and tart no sweetness, cantaloupe and honeydew melon not sweet at all, not ripe too hard not edible. Called store left voicemail, no response. Stopped by store spoke to manager Enriquetta she treated me as if I did something wrong because we didn't open it to eat it til two days later. She offered a partial replacement or a "smaller arrangement replacement while telling me she couldn't refund with a take it or leave it attitude. After noticing very stale sun damaged chocolates in display case and wilted flowers in other case and hearing an earful of just how difficult it is for the owner to get ripe in season fruit and other problems they face it became clear that they are not concerned about customer satisfaction. My calls to the owner Tana have been ignored for couple more days. The gal I talked to today at Surprise store was very rude, she said the "owner" offered me a solution which isn't true, and I was confused by, since Tana never bothered to return my two voicemails. When I asked for clarification, she just hung up on me. Not once, not twice but three times. I was polite and persistent and she had no intention of even honoring their offer to give just a partial replacement which is what I had left a voicemail saying I would like them to go ahead and do. She was dismissive and rude and said call corporate and stop calling and harassing their store. Hahahahahaha. What a joke, I have never dealt with a business with so little concern for their customer's experience. I would avoid this place like the plague!l Unless you want very expensive rotten and tasteless fruit and even worse customer treatment. Like SO MANY others have posted here, worst service EVER!

We came in to place an order and grab a treat for the girls. There was a sign about everything coming in contact with wheat, soy and other allergens so we just stuck to the order. My mom's audiologist has really taken good care of her. She wanted to show her appreciation to their office so she decided to go with an Edible Arrangement. The gal who helped is was friendly and made The "Doubly m Delicious" was the perfect choice as it had some fruit with chocolate amd plenty of a selection of just fruit in case anyone there had any allergies. The office really enjoyed and my mom was happy with the communication and timeliness for the order.

I'm very happy with the delivery I ordered for my family living in Sun City, since I live in CA. I was wholeheartedly relying on a timely delivery of a delicious product and they achieved my highest expectations. I called Saturday to confirm the delivery, just in case it was delayed I could let my loved ones know. I was pleasantly greeted by a very friendly and confident representative that confirmed my order was in line for the delivery truck and informed me of the delivery time frame for the day. That made me very happy and put my mind at ease. Within a few hours, my loved ones informed me how wonderful the arrangement was. My grandson, 2 years old, was enjoying the grapes and had his eyes on strawberries next. The grandfather said the honey dew was the sweetest and most delicious he'd ever had. My daughter-in-law enjoyed the beautiful flowery pineapples too. It was a wonderful gift and brought a lot of joy where it was needed. I highly recommend this store in Surprise, AZ. Thank you to the wonderful staff that made this gift possible!! Being from a different state, I was nervous taking a chance, but am completely satisfied with their service and products! Keep up the great work!

The fruit fell everywhere. Terrible experience start to finish. Wow

A West Valley Gem Packed with Flavor, Charm, and Plenty to Discover…read more If you've ever driven past that bright pink building on the corner of 101st and Grand Avenue in Sun City and wondered, "What's in there?" let me save you the suspense: it's the New York West Bakery, and it's absolutely worth pulling over for. In fact, I've made the hour-plus drive each way more than a dozen times just to visit. Whenever I find myself anywhere in the West Valley, this place is a mandatory stop. I've taken countless photos of my visits because there is always something new to see, taste, or admire. Under its new ownership, New York West Bakery has evolved into a wonderfully unique fusion-style café. The menu is delightfully unexpected, featuring everything from traditional breakfast favorites and homemade tamales to incredible Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches. If I can dig up some of my photos, I'll add them because these sandwiches deserve their own spotlight. The transformation isn't limited to the menu. The Interior: Spotlessly clean. During one recent visit, I watched an energetic staff member carefully mopping the floors and making sure everything looked perfect. It's obvious they take pride in the place. The Exterior: They've added a charming outdoor patio complete with colorful umbrellas, comfortable seating, and newly planted trees that will provide even more shade as they grow. It's a fantastic addition and makes for a relaxing place to enjoy a pastry and coffee. The Food: Where This Place Really Shines When New York West Bakery gets it right, they absolutely knock it out of the park. Their fruit tarts are hands-down some of the best I've had in years. They're fresh, beautiful, bursting with flavor, and surprisingly affordable for the quality you're getting. Best of all, everything is made from scratch, which shows in every bite. The newer savory menu items are also a huge win. Their Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches deliver serious value. They're enormous. Honestly, one sandwich is big enough to share and still leave you feeling satisfied... or at least leave just enough room for dessert. And speaking of dessert, I have to mention those fruit tarts one more time. They're that good. My wife Lucy absolutely loves them. In fact, "love" might be an understatement. If fruit tarts had a fan club, she'd probably be the president. New York West Bakery continues to grow and evolve, and it's exciting to watch. Between the friendly atmosphere, expanding menu, beautiful patio, and from scratch-made baked goods, it's become one of my favorite hidden gems in the Valley.

Update: June 2026 The new owners have expanded into more of…read morea café than a bakery, and a fusion one at that since you can get Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches, tamales, and traditional breakfasts. I love that they added outdoor seating with cheery umbrellas and have planted trees to provide additional ambiance and shade, although the highway noise will always be problematic. The inside is spotless and while I was there a friendly staffer was keeping it that way by energetically mopping. Sadly, the St. Joseph's pastry I had had a tough not flaky or crisp shell, but the ricotta filling was light and good. I was so looking forward to the poppy seed bread but when I got it home and cut into it, the filling was not spread out throughout the bread and there wasn't much of it. The bread itself was not tear apart tender, but dry. I saved it by slathering butter on it and lightly toasting it, but that shouldn't have been necessary. For the prices, everything should have been top notch or marked down and labeled as day-olds. I'm curious about the breakfast and lunch café options, so I'll probably go back to give them a try, but note that the prices have increased by more than a few cents per item since the 2025 someone else posted, so check for the latest. Maybe they are trying to do too much and should limit the variety and be known for a few super delicious items that are always fresh and superior to what you could get in a supermarket. Having a few signature items and being the go-to place during special holidays would help define them, and please, please FRESHNESS is crucial--maybe the products are just drying out more because we're in AZ, but I'm not the only one mentioning dried out items.

One of their featured items, the Cinnamon Square, was available but ending today, so I didn't want to miss it. You can download the Crumbl Cookies app to place orders online and earn reward points on your purchases. I actually used the Uber app this time since I had some credits available, which helped cover part of the purchase. They do have an option to add your rewards account, but currently it doesn't allow you to earn points when ordering through Uber. Hopefully that will be a feature in the future. When I arrived, the staff greeted me right away. I let them know I already had an order placed, and they quickly handed it to me. One thing I noticed this time is that they didn't open the box to show the cookies before handing it over. Usually they show you the order to make sure everything looks good before you leave. I did check the box once I got to my car just to make sure everything was correct, and it was. Tip: If you get the Cinnamon Square, warm it up in the microwave for about 20 seconds once you get home. It makes it nice and warm and even more delicious. Also, just a heads-up: ordering through the Uber app is a little more expensive than ordering directly through the Crumbl Cookies app. This Crumbl Cookies location is in the plaza across the street from Fry's Food and Drug, next to Dunkin', Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a pizza spot, and several other businesses in the area. Overall, it was a quick and easy stop for a sweet treat, and the Cinnamon Square was definitely worth it!
