I love this antique shop and am known to visit often to browse at everything old that you can make…read morenew again. The selection of old and well preserved items is tremendous and their prices are very reasonable. I've bought a few small functional kitchen items and recently, a lovely bread basket to use for the holidays. The ladies who work here are friendly, pleasant and helpful. The store itself encompasses several different rooms filled with treasures. Watch your step, as there are some uneven floors. The furniture selection varies a lot and unique item go fast. If you see something you are almost 100% sold on, I suggest you pick it up. You'll be happy you did.

I'm not sure if maybe added something new in their window but that say, my friend and I went on an adventure of discover! Of course after a lunch at one of my favorite places ... and a cupcake! As soon as we walked in we were "OHhOohh" and "remember these"?!?! Telling stories of having or always wanting this or that. In addition to vintage toys, and clothes, Throwbacks Too offer vintage furniture, and clothing! Man, older clothes were made to last! After spending hours digging through five or six thrift stores in Hixson and coming up mostly empty handed, I was delighted find a small rack packed with exactly what I needed - men's long sleeved dress shirts in a variety of colors. As I started making a pile of them for a school play, the lady brought me a buggy. The sweet cashier even gave me a discount for buying 18 of them. Pop's and Granny's Saved the Day and the Play! I wish my photo of the store didn't turn out so blurry. I may drive back over there after the play to show the folks how they helped all the kids look good. :D

This place is SO rad!…read more Visiting my hometown this month, I am hearing about and discovering so many new cool independent businesses. The Electric Crocodile is THE best vintage store though - from clothing to games to decor to collectibles to keepsakes. This store is like a choose your own adventure through fabulousness. Mom and I stopped in last weekend, experiencing a fun, friendly staff and seeing so many deals on stylish clothes, potential home decor from past iconic eras, and just fun stuff. Some of what I saw - Garbage Pail Kids cards, Star Wars figurines, gems, 60's & 70's & 80's clothing pieces in great condition, and unique candlesticks and art. And an energetic cat is the unofficial store keeper. Can't wait to go back for a few hours soon to decide on what to purchase first!

CrocBuster Video!"…read more *FYI: I'm always on the lookout for stores in the CHA-area that sell "old-school" physical media, as I run a film series at a local arts center that relies on it for projection. I found CrocBuster purely through a fluke -- I asked Google for "dvd / video stores" near me (not expecting much of anything), but I was so pleasantly surprised -- This isn't a STORE, it's an EXPERIENCE! -- a virtual MAZE from one cool "fan-niche cubby hole" to another -- original Star Wars toys, all types of "retro kid stuff" that will bring back many a happy memory, as well as both new & used vinyl LPs, TONS of collectable VHS (Disney clamshells, etc.) and all kinds of tchotchkes and gewgaws you didn't even know existed. (The video online really doesn't do it justice -- you just have to experience it.) I had some old DVDs & VHS tapes in my car that I was hoping to unload (again, not expecting much), only to be so pleasantly surprised. The manager, Paul, turned my two boxes around in a hurry while I shopped. (Both Paul and his wife Michelle and all of the staff were very, very welcoming and helpful in a most genuine way. Michelle gave me a tour of their massive store.) I ended up using my $60 of credit (and then some!) ** Oh, prices are very reasonable, btw. Will definitely be back in the near future.
