We've been coming to this dog park for years. Huge plot of land for pups to roam. No aggressive dogs allowed. There are two sections, small dogs and large dogs with a double gate for entrance into each. Two water faucets and plenty of benches and trees for shade. The property managers keep the grass well maintained and doggie bags stocked. There is a pond in the back that is open seasonally. The locals that come always seem to be nice and pleasant to chat with. In 5 years I have only witnessed a handful of times owners that have been irresponsible or disrespectful to the rules. Best time to come for socialization is weekend in the morning. All other times there are none to a few people at the park. Highly recommend this venue for engagement or a good sniffing time! :) read more

Most of the time this place is great but it really sucks when people bring aggressive dogs , if you can't let your dog off the leash without it attacking other dogs then please don't bring them to the dog park ! Other that that this park is normally very nice read more

I absolutely love this dog park! There is so much open space for my dog to run free and it allows for socialization with other dogs. There are also plenty of trees for much needed shade on hot days and water stations for our fur babies to get a drink when they are thirsty. My dog gets excited when he gets in my car as there is the anticipation of getting to go to the dog park. There is also a fence for an area with smaller dogs and there is the large open area available to dogs of all sizes. My dog loves socializing with others no matter what size. I appreciate this park so much and highly recommend it for anyone with a dog! read more

LOVE this dog park! Or should I say... my fur babies LOVE this dog park! There's PLENTY of space to romp and play, there's also a whole nother area down near the back that's fenced off that has water, which is GREAT for keeping my big mutts cool in the summer. I absolutely adore the fact that they have several doggie drinking fountains, equipped with dog bowls and everything. The cleanliness is overall pretty good. There are several poopy bag stations, which is appreciated. It's hard to keep an eye on when your own specific dog has to go, but whenever I see anything I just go ahead and clean it up hoping that other people do the same. As far as I can tell, the park is pretty well maintained. I took the boys the other day, in the morning, and maintenance was there doing something. Today there was an area roped off, I think for letting new grass grow. So I'm pretty happy that the city keeps up with their parks. GREAT play space! WILL be back! read more

I've been to other dog parks in Oklahoma City and I have to say Edmond Dog Park is the best! My husband and I foster dogs and this is a great way for them to meet people and interact with dogs of all sizes. It also teaches them social skills and wear them out so that they come home, have dinner, and snuggle up to me asleep. The park is divided into small dogs (less than 25 lbs) and big dogs (greater than 25 lbs). If you have a brave little dog that would do well with big dogs, you can bring him/her to the big dogs side because it is A LOT bigger than the small dogs side. My little Dachshund mix pup loves it here and she adores the sweet people she meets each time and loves to chase and be chase by the doggies here. It's also cute to watch our dog and foster dogs recognize the dog park and get excited in the car when they look out in the windows and see that we are pulling into the park. I am a DOG lover and anything DOG gives me endorphins and makes me happy. read more

Drove 40 minutes to this park this week (2-2019). It's a lovely park with water (which my dogs love). You don't have to swim , but it's an option behind the gate. It even has a boardwalk to get the pups down to the water level. I appreciate this park, for its size, water to swim in, and even a water well so the dogs always have fresh water. I wish we had one as nice in Norman!!! When it's hot this summer and my dogs need to swim.....we will be back read more

Slightly reducing my previous rating becuase the water feature is really unsecured. My dog as several others ran to the right of the entrance and it leads to a parking lot. Thankfully all 3 stopped and came back when I walked over there. But then as I was trying to exit the water part, another dog was coming in and ran through the trees and my dog followed. She ran through the trees and thankfully ran all the way around the park entrance where another owner grabbed her collar for me. I was a lucky owner today, but I have seen far too many other dogs run into the walking trails and it takes the owner a lot longer to find their pup. Just be careful! read more

We've been taking my main man Tucker to the Edmond Dog Park for several years now. I can tell you that next to some fresh bacon, there's nothing he loves more than this park. There is a ton of room for dogs to run, several water spickets with cool, fresh water and even bags to pick up after your dogs. I would say 99% of the dogs that come here are friendly and rarely cause problems. There used to be some low spots where water would pool and turn into a poo lagoon, but they have since been filled in and re-seeded. Definitely our favorite dog park in town. read more

One reason why this dog park is great is because you can count on lots of dogs being there when it is nice out. I've been to other dog parks where it is usually just my dogs and a few others, but Edmond dog park is popular and well taken care of. They usually have fenced off sections for reseeding the grass and when it is done, it is great. There are plenty of water wells for the dogs to drink from and obstacles for the dogs to tackle. If you want alone time with your dog(s), the place is big enough for you to find your own area to play and rest in. There are benches for people to sit on and relax while your dog plays and trees for your dog to find shade and rest from playing. The back has a pond for dogs to swim and play in but it is gated so that owners can control the dogs going in and out of it. However, be careful if your dog swims across the pond as it reaches the parking lot and is not fenced off. Oh and there is are two areas. One for small dogs and one for large dogs. Most people with small dogs still bring their dogs into the large dog area as it is usually more fun and exciting. If your little one can play along, bring them into the large dog area. That is also where the pond access is. The main parking lot also has a trail that goes down to OCU which has a great running/walking trail. I've taken dogs for a run or long walk after playtime to tire them out even more and for myself to get a workout. Enjoy! read more

Tried to take my two small dogs to this park today. To get to the park you must cross a wooden bridge, over a stream, which has no side rails. Since I have impaired walking ability I did not dare walk across the bridge with my dogs on lead. Very disappointing. If there is another way into the park then the signage needs improving. My parents and I love this dog park! However, I am writing a review in hopes of warning other dog owners of a dangerous dog that attacked our non-aggressive corgi two days ago. The dog was a black and brown pit bull. Realizing that it could have been your dog that was attacked, I would ask that whoever owns the black and brown pit bull would no longer bring it to the dog park. Also, if you encounter a dog that looks like this, be careful. Our dog received stitches, pain killers, and an antibiotic from the attack. Aggressive dogs are unwelcome. With a 10 month, energetic pup I've been trying to explore some more dog friendly places around the OKC area. This morning was my first time to the Edmond Dog park, but I'll be back for sure. The park is broken up into a few different areas. There's a smaller fenced in area for small dogs, which is where we spent our time. The big dog area was packed with big dogs this morning. There's also a pond for dogs to swim in, but it has a separate gate to allow you to choose if you want a wet dog or not. This place gives your pup an opportunity to run and socialize with other dogs. All of the dog owners were very friendly and always cleaned up after their dogs. Maybe I'll become a dog park regular now! read more

We love this park for our boys. Its a great way to let them have fun in a safe area. Its pretty clean. There is bags to pick up after your dog, and 2 areas, one for large and one for small dogs. They also have a place for them to swim, its a gate entrance, so they be let it to swim. There are some dog play equipment and drinking areas. read more

I love this park. Small dogs and big dogs have their own space. There's good sized agility equipment in the big dog space, as well as a gate to the lake. I don't like that once you're out in the water, there's a trail for the dog to be able to run off if they're off leash. I've seen a few almost leave the space! I love taking my dogs to the Edmond dog park! They have a wonderful time, and for the most part, owners are great about picking up their dogs' poop. I also enjoy the trails behind the dog park, and it is a great place to walk your pup after they burn some energy playing. Although I have three dogs, if I am alone, I only bring one dog at a time so I can focus my entire energy on them. (I also believe there is a 2 dog maximum per person rule). read more

Nice big dog park, loved the little agility course. Only things that weren't great was the swimming area was pretty small, and there was poop everywhere. Of course, that's almost every dog park. Other than that my dogs loved it and made lots of friends. read more
