For instance my mom wanted to pay for winter studded tires for me, and the front end was being a pain in the ass about it. So I talked to the service manager and low and behold she gave me a pre authorized payment form for my mom to fill out and fax back to me to authorize a payment from her for my purchase. Great service department, amazing actually. The parts and service department talk with each other, they know what they need, they bought and buy extra winter studded tires for winter and sell them at a discounted rate the next year. The ones I bought and have on are some of the best winter tires you can buy, tires warehouse couldn't beat VW's price, I was very impressed. Basic services are a bit pricey but hey, labour is expensive and I don't have a garage and tools to do it myself so I'm not going to complain. Oh and this entire emissions scandal, please.....there is. I thing wrong with my car and it still meets our provinces standards. But hey I'll take something if they give it to me. This dealership is great, the give me the services I ask for, I am very clear about what it is I want though. Cheers, enjoy being serviced;)

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Misrepresentation of Vehicle Condition and Unfulfilled…read moreCommitments I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent vehicle purchase from your dealership. Before purchasing the vehicle, I was assured by the sales representative (Tarun Mander) that the remote starter was fully functional and would work as promised. This assurance was an important factor in my decision to proceed with the purchase. Unfortunately, after taking possession of the vehicle, I discovered that the remote starter did not work. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to have this issue resolved through your dealership. I have requested to be contacted by the dealership manager on several occasions, expecting the matter to be addressed in good faith. Instead, I encountered a lack of cooperation and no meaningful effort to resolve the problem. Despite repeated requests, the issue remains unresolved. I was told that the dealership manger "Randy" would resolve the issue only if he wants to. In addition to the remote starter issue, the vehicle detailing that was promised before delivery was not completed to an acceptable standard. The vehicle was not properly cleaned or prepared for delivery, which was disappointing given the expectations set during the sales process. Furthermore, the delivery of the vehicle was delayed beyond the agreed-upon possession date, causing unnecessary inconvenience. Despite these delays, the dealership failed to ensure that the vehicle was delivered in the condition that had been promised. My overall experience has left me feeling that the dealership made commitments to encourage the sale but failed to honor those commitments afterward. Throughout this process, I have found the dealership's conduct to be misleading and disappointing. In my experience, promises were made to secure my business, but they were not fulfilled once the sale was completed. Rather than working collaboratively to resolve legitimate concerns, I encountered resistance and a lack of accountability. I believe I purchased this vehicle based on representations that were not accurate and on commitments that were ultimately not honored. The combination of the non-functional remote starter, inadequate detailing, delayed possession, and the dealership's unwillingness to address these issues has significantly undermined my confidence in the dealership and its customer service. I respectfully request that the dealership honor its commitments by repairing the remote starter at no cost to me, addressing the deficiencies in the vehicle's delivery, and providing an appropriate resolution for the inconvenience and disappointment I have experienced. If this matter cannot be resolved promptly and fairly, I will have no choice but to pursue other avenues, including filing complaints with the appropriate consumer protection agencies and sharing my experience with other potential consumers. I hope this matter can still be resolved professionally and in good faith. I look forward to your prompt response. Sincerely, Tejveer Gill & Navneet Gill

I was also charged GST twice. I waited for 2 hours for the financing to get completed they told me 15 minutes. Took 3 days to get the financing approved. Purchased the paint protection pkg which I usually never do because its not work it. Part of the deal was Ford would throw in tint, I explained to the salesman 3 times also via text, so he had it in his phone of how I wanted it tinted and they did not do it how they were asked so it had to go back. Then to top it off when I received my vehicle after they applied the protection coating it was delivered scratched up all over the entire vehicle. I purchased the vehicle Dec15 had to take it back Dec 2 for the tint and paint to be repaired, paint was not repaired it is still scratched so have to drop it off again to see if they can fix the paint. This was honestly one of my worst experiences purchasing a vehicle other than Land Rover.

I often say that everyone makes mistakes, but you can truly judge character by how one handles them. I don't really know what to say other than I appreciate her efforts. If you have had a negative experience here, I encourage you to reach out to Krysta, there is no doubt she will do whatever she can to try to fix it. 1 STAR -- BUYERS FROM OUT OF TOWN, READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE THE DRIVE…read more I live approximately five hours from River City Hyundai in Edmonton, so I made it extremely clear from the beginning that I could not simply "come down and see what happens." I was shopping for a 2026 Santa Fe Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid AWD and was quoted a very competitive price of $56,398. I was initially told approximately $18,000 for my trade, and the paperwork I was subsequently given showed a $16,660 trade allowance, subject to inspection. Because I live five hours away, I specifically discussed the trade and the condition of my vehicle before making the trip. I made it clear that I would not the deal if the payment increased significantly. I was reassured that as long as my vehicle was in good condition, there should be no problem. This wasn't some mystery vehicle they knew nothing about. It is a Hyundai, and I disclosed the mileage. My local Hyundai dealership had already physically inspected it and offered $15,500. Based on River City Hyundai's representations and paperwork, we proceeded. I obtained insurance on the new vehicle, my husband took time off work, we spent the money on fuel and drove five hours to Edmonton. We arrived. The new Santa Fe was exactly the vehicle represented to me. Then they inspected my trade. Suddenly my vehicle was supposedly worth only: $11,000. Not $18,000. Not the $16,660 shown on the paperwork. $11,000. That's a $5,660 reduction from the written trade allowance after we drove five hours to get there. And somehow another Hyundai dealership that had actually inspected the exact same vehicle in person could offer $15,500. I cannot speak to anyone else's experience or what River City Hyundai intended. I can only tell you exactly what happened to us. But here's my opinion: a great deal isn't a great deal if the numbers don't survive the customer's arrival at the dealership. I had specifically explained why I needed accurate numbers BEFORE making a ten-hour round trip. They knew how far away we lived. They knew the mileage. They knew I couldn't afford substantially higher payments. They reassured me enough that I insured the new vehicle and made the trip. If they genuinely believed my trade could potentially drop by more than $5,600 after inspection, I would have expected that risk to be made crystal clear before a customer drove five hours. Instead, we arrived after investing our time and money and were presented with a completely different financial reality. Maybe they expected that after driving five hours, paying for insurance, burning the gas and taking time off work, we'd feel too invested to walk away. They underestimated us. We walked. I would rather drive five hours home empty-handed than spend years making payments on a deal I told them from the beginning I wanted in writing which they did but changed it anyway! River City Hyundai didn't lose this sale because I changed my mind about the vehicle. I loved the vehicle. They lost the sale because the numbers I travelled five hours for weren't the numbers waiting for me when I arrived. My advice to anyone travelling from outside Edmonton: do not make the trip based on preliminary trade numbers. Get the trade value as firmly documented as possible, ask exactly what could cause it to change after inspection, and be completely prepared to walk away. I did. Five hours there. Five hours home. Expensive lesson learned. One star.

Not only was the problem not fixed the first time, but I had to take time out of my schedule to book and return for another appointment. To make matters worse, the cost jumped from around $200 to $600. It feels like every time I bring a vehicle to a Ford dealership, the bill somehow grows while the original problem remains unresolved. Is it because I am a female that knows nothing about vehicle's? This is the 3rd negative experience I've had with Ford service departments, although not all at this specific location. At this point, my confidence in Ford's service network is extremely low. As a customer, I expect honest communication, accurate diagnostics, and repairs to be completed correctly the first time.
