My experience... I was suppose to jump in 2024 but found out I was pregnant. My jump was then put on hold for 2025. That process was smooth and the service provided to handle the solution was great. Now that 2025 had arrived I was scheduled to jump September 19 at 6. Got there and everything was pretty straight forward. A tad bit of a wait but I didn't mind. Then we got set up and ready to go. My instructor was Jesse. I went along with two other fellas. one being an instructor and the other a student. All these guys were great. They were encouraging and kept me calm by their demeanour. Jesse never played into my fears and was making jokes in the plane (which helped). When it was time to jump Jesse just launched out. It happened so fast. And honestly I'm happy he did it that way. The experience of skydiving .. there are no words. It was amazing. Jesse was awesome and was a natural. Because of him and the guys there I will absolutely be booking a second jump. When you decide to jump out of a plane, Edmonton Skydive is the right place to be! Came here in October 2017, was gifted the skydive by my sister and accompanied by my mom. They take bookings from April-October, we had booked an early date, but had to reschedule due to snow. They were very accommodating at helping us find a time that worked for both of us. They informed us ahead of time that they would call us on the day of to confirm our jump, as we had almost a 2 hour drive to get there. We were lucky enough to be able to jump on a gorgeous fall day, just as all the trees had turned to all their autumn glory. When we arrived we were both eager and understandably nervous, this was each of our first experience skydiving. The third person meant to jump with us had rescheduled, so it was only the two of us! There are a couple waivers to be signed initially and you have the option to purchase video footage or pictures of your jump (we chose not to) for $95 each or both for $120. There are several options available, tandem jumps for beginners, flight school for individuals interested in jumping solo in the future, and solo jumps for this already qualified. The tandem jumps are perfect when you're looking to try skydiving. Edmonton skydive gave us an incredible experience, a once in a lifetime event for my mom and something I'm eager to try again in the future. There's a short training video to watch first and the rest of the instruction comes from the professional instructor. It was the perfect way to learn. We were given simple to the point instructions and encouraged to enjoy ourselves. Safety was clearly a priority, but we weren't overwhelmed with information. The whole process went very fast and before we knew it we were in the plane on our way up! Edmonton skydive jumps from 14 000 feet the highest in Western Canada! Time disappeared as soon as we jumped. The instructor controlled our parachutes and in time they prepared us to land. The experience was really indescribable! As soon as we made it to the ground I was ready to go again! I can't recommend Edmonton Skydive enough for anyone looking for an amazing skydiving experience. I haven't been to this place in a few years, but back in 2008-2011, I did about half a dozen jumps. Really recommend checking the weather forecast before booking, because there were a couple times I drove all the way out and then had to go home when the cloudy/windy conditions wouldn't clear up. Love the staff! So friendly and helpful. I did the solo jumps, and found the 4 hour training program really good and informative. The instructors did an awesome job, and by the time I had to exit the plane (although I was TERRIFIED) I felt comfortable enough to do it. You get fitted with a jumpsuit, helmet, and parachute (or a person wearing a parachute if you're doing tandem). Make sure you wear comfy clothes and shoes. There was a food truck on site with some snacks and drinks, and decent outhouses. I know in the recent years Edmonton Skydive has gotten many upgrades. The very last time I was there, they were starting to use their new plane and larger facilities. Bottom line is I am definitely going to return as soon as I get the chance!!! I came across Edmonton Skydive when I bought a Groupon for my boyfriend and I to do tandem jumps for Christmas. The booking process was fairly simple and straight forward which was nice as trying to redeem popular Groupons can be painful. The day we were scheduled to jump was forecasting thunderstorms so we were nervous about driving the hour outside of town in the event that we would not be able to jump but we were informed that we could not reschedule without coming out to the jump site first. Although I understand that their business is weather dependent and this policy is a way of them protecting themselves from substantial loss I felt that this should have been stated somewhere on their website or mentioned at the time of booking. Fortunately there were gaps in the weather and we arrived just in time for the sun to come out and the wind to die down. We were given a pair of protective pants to wear as only their students get to use the jump suits so I would recommend wearing a long sleeve shirt. You are given a basic run down of the process and what to expect when you exit the plane. They also make you watch a video right after registration that outlines the experience. The tandem instructors we were assigned put us immediately at ease and made the entire process very enjoyable. I mentioned that I had a bit of anxiety and my instructor Joey made every effort to elevate any fears I had. The pictures and videos were a great memento of the occasion and I highly recommend getting them. They are taken on go pro cameras and are great quality so I am looking forward to getting prints made. We both are very excited to jump again and will definitely consider Edmonton Skydive when we do. read more
