For those who don't know what flyboarding is, check out Alberta Flyboard's website. The instructor was fun, and it wasn't like one of those activities where you spend a lot of time listening to a big lesson before you actually get to do anything... I learned in the water. For someone who is athletically challenged, I managed to get up within the first 5 minutes, and became fairly stable within the first 15. The last 15 minutes was spent trying to maintain height and spend time "flying" around! If you go more than once, they are more than willing to teach you different moves, which could be fun in the future. I would highly recommend this activity to those looking for something different to do in the Edmonton area... there's nothing quite like it! They also have locations at Sylvan Lake, Jackfish Lake and Cold Lake. Give them a call!

Surely my hubby and I enjoyed those huge slides and the hot tubs. It was just pure fun! My little daughters enjoyed the splash pad, dolphin kiddie pool, and the big waves too. The only downside is that no outside food is allowed. 2 slices of pizza and 8 pcs of nuggets cost almost $25. The entrance went up to $67/person since last time (3 yrs ago). I could understand with everything going up, but they removed the unlimited soda machines, which were included before. They, however, included the life vests for the kiddos. As parents, that's more in favor of us. All in all, we would still go back.

There are two hot tubs present - the single tub is much hotter than the double one, but both are nice to relax in. The Waterpark has many slides - some for kids, but many more for more grown folks, ranging from intermediate to extreme "difficulty." Boy have I had some adventures here! From falling down an escalator as a tot to riding the Mindbender roller coaster back when that was still a thing, showing off the amusement park to university/college students visiting our city from elsewhere or playing laser tag with the band Green Day when they came to town for Edge Fest or most recently visiting to play DDR with my partner or bringing our toddler here to ride rides... Galaxyland is a thing. It can be a place of joy or a place of sorrows... it can certainly be an expensive visit or an inexpensive one depending on how you do it, but it can clearly be a lot of fun! When I was a kid I ADORED The children's play park area. My toddler loved the ball pit when we visited as a family. The rides are a mixed bag. Currently most are themed around Hasbro properties and some aren't really suitable for adults who are exceedingly tall though the height restrictions for children are clearly noted. I have a lot of fond memories here but note that it can be really noisy and crowded so plan accordingly. It is great that in a winter city like Edmonton indoor amusement areas like this one exist, clearly!

The set up of the faculty is awesome. We spent our afternoon "bouldering" and climbing the walls. The instructors are amazing! Highly knowledgeable, and they take the time to demonstrate and explain everything thoroughly. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this to everyone!

It seems every time I come back there's something new or something changed here, like the new name changed from Capital Airsoft, or newer rentals, better gear, improving/changing layout of the 'map' (area you shoot in), different game plays.... I definitely like this place more now than my first visit here, as they try to keep things fresh by changing up the layout every so often, moving around objects and items that aren't permanently bolted to the floor or ceiling (doors, crates, windows, barrels, other hiding places, etc). The viewing area is also a huge improvement compared to before, sporting a couple new windows that peek into the semi-dark-lit gaming area, watching players getting picked off by opposing forces. Or, it's also a nice space to clear the tables and whip out some board games haha! The staff are also pretty good at suiting up us newbies, or having more intense intellectual conversations with the more seasoned players on upgrades, problems, solutions, and other cool stuff. Fun fact: The building also has another space on the main floor (Airsoft being upstairs), where wicked fencing-sword training and Krav Maga are happening! Wear your bathing clothes under your walk in clothes, take those off put them in a bag on a trolley. And the lifeguards will bring them to you after your swim time, no showers. Leave the pool facilities after you have changed back into your clothes you came in, over your bathing clothes.
