An ad for this had come up on my instagram a few months ago. I had bookmarked this to try out one of these days as the food looked good and I also heard good things about it. As my friend and I had plans in Leduc I figured it would be nice to stop here for dinner. I like how their booths are all private. There is a call button in the booth so that you can ring them anytime you need service. They also have the wifi password taped onto the wall in the both. The service was very prompt as soon as we pressed the button someone arrived within 1 minute. The staff was very kind and attentive. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Saturday night which was kind of nice. They have a pretty decent sized menu with a variety of options. I love how they have photos of each roll and list which rolls are fully cooked and which ones aren't. We ordered the sexy mexican roll, volcano roll, and the scallop extravaganza. All were delicious! The fish was very fresh as was the rice. Each roll was a good size and packed with flavour. The price was pretty on par with all sushi places. Although I didn't order this, the tempura pieces were massive from the orders I saw that went out. This is definitely a place I'll become a regular at. They have two locations (Edmonton south and Leduc)

I thought the food would be questionable due to the price however, it far exceeded my expectations. Obviously it's not premium quality but for the price you pay it's pretty good! The menu is quite extensive with lots of different options. My table ordered several dishes and shared them amongst ourselves. The servings aren't full size which is great because you can sample a bit of everything without wasting food. This place is like a zoo on the weekends and there's quite a lot going on/lots to look at. I would plan to wait quite a bit if you show up. I don't believe they take reservations either (unless that's changed). There is plenty of seating as it's a large restaurant. They also have a little "convenience" type store where you can get take out and some unique Asian knick knacks, toys, and snacks. Despite how hectic it was, our waitress did a great job. The food came out quickly and everything was fresh.

Due to the line up, we had a take a number and wait for some time to get a table - while waiting, we went to the mini market inside the restaurant - it was nice to check out all the products available!! Once we had our table, we ordered bite sized steak with steamed rice, salad, California sushi roll, shrimp tempura and a bowl of ramen. The food was so very good - it was worth the wait. The restaurant was very busy, so it was a bit much in that sense, but otherwise a good tasty experience.

Best beef tataki I've had anywhere in the world thus far. I can't believe I haven't reviewed my favourite asian restaurant. I have been going here for more than 20 years, from when it was a mom and pop business run by a family...to being renovated and modernized by the kids of the original owners. It was the first location before they opened up other locations...and it is by far my favourite. I go here for the classic dishes that never fail. Tempura, beef tataki, age dashi tofu, sashimi and rolls galore. Everything is always top notch quality and consistently delicious. I have never had a bad tasting meal. The place is busy and it reflects that. Sometimes you need reservations on peak hours during dinner rush or weekends. But I never really have an issue getting a table if I don't. Get the beef tataki here. It's the best dish I've had and for me this is my classic must order when I come here. Sometimes I order 2 of them bc it's so good and I can't share it with someone else! The rolls always have a good ratio of rice and fish, with no yucky fillers like tempura crumbs, fruits and are never drenched in sauce. Every dish let's the fish shine as the main event and that's what good Japanese food is all about! Go here and you won't be disappointed!

Everything was so delicious and instagram worthy for photos. We tried 4 dishes but the cheese tonkatsu, the curry cheese katsu and the cheese dakgangjung (korean fried chicken with cheese and green onions) are my fave because they elevate the katsu to something else. Ghe cheese pulls were out of this world and i could of stood up on my chair and still could keep pulling. Every bite was satisfying. The portions were large and filling. If you order multiple dishes. Then its perfect for sharing as most items are easily shareable. Service was great considering they only had one girl working the entire restaurant restaurant. Located just off whyte ave there was tons of street parking making it extremely easily accessible as well! Love this place and will be my go to for lunches.

It was pretty empty when we came except for a table of 10 that maybe were there for a Christmas wrap up, and I can't imagine sitting there for a long time chatting.Totally not comfortable. Our server was okay. I can't say she was friendly or helpful. I did like that after you are seated you ring a bell to place your order (or anything else you may need). She was prompt though when you did ring the bell. Food is centered around katsu (flattened meat breaded like a cutlet with an Asian flair). They also have many Korean favourites too, and a section for Korean fried chicken which we didn't try. They also had a great selection of sparking aids (alcohol free) and cocktails. We were in a bit of a rush so we decided to split the assorted katsu which contained sirloin tonkatsu, tenderloin tonkatsu, shrimp katsu, and cheese katsu which came with miso soup (happy hour special) and rice and a lovely cabbage salad. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and it was plentiful. To be honest, I would have liked different flavours on the meat, because it all tasted the same. However the taste was good. The breading was lovely, the meat nice and thin, and the cheese had a good cheese pull. Loved the cabbage salad. And for 46.00 for two people with food to take home it was a great value. I definately would come here to try other items on the menu. The iorean fried chicken in particular and maybe some appies.
