First off, edamame is an appetizer and should be served as something to nibble on before food arrives. Whether it is served warm or cold, it should never have a wrinkled appearance and be tough in texture. Second, the rolls are sloppy. If you are able to make it all the way to your mouth with the piece in tact it will be a miracle. Also, rolls should have a consistent taste all the way through the roll. Tonight's spicy tuna roll nearly killed us on the last two pieces. We like spicy, but the last two pieces were inconsistently hot compared to rest of the roll. Last, my poor mother in law had the most disgusting dinner I've ever seen. On her plate was chicken katsu, noodles, beef teriyaki, and something that I think was supposed to be cabbage salad. The beef and noodles were obviously cooked in old rancid oil. The smell alone was enough to make your eyes water, and not in a good way. Surprisingly, my father in law also had the beef and it was okay, certainly not rancid tasting. At the end of the night, dinner for 4 was $90 including being charge for edamame. The family consensus is that we won't be returning here.
