Since the day Jim/James from SoftRoc cancelled the job at my home on the advice of his installation…read morecrew, I have researched and found a company in western Florida that uses the SoftRoc product and state they can apply the product over Chattanoochee and cracks are no issue ( https://www.rubaroc-installers.com/index.html ) and another company that applies the rubber material who also states they apply over Chattanoochee and would easily apply over the current concrete overlay with no difficulty and no removal of the warranty ( https://coveredconcretesolutions.com/ ). Also, Jim/James finally provided me with a phone number for someone who "could" remove the Chattanoochee BUT that phone number is for a pressure washing company and the videos Jim/James alleges prove his claim the YouTube videos actually only show they pressure wash Chattanoochee and do minor repairs. I would strongly recommend to anyone interested in applying the rubberized material look for any other company besides SoftRoc of Melbourne because I personally feel in the long run you'll be better off. See the details of this debacle below: I am an elderly disabled widow. I contracted with SoftRoc of Melbourne in March 2025. I gave Jim/James from SoftRoc a $10000 deposit on April 4. From the very first conversation with Jim/James, I asked Jim(James) from SoftRoc to help me find someone who could remove my pool deck as he requested. He never helped, told me what kind of contractor is needed/preferred to do this type of work nor did he communicate any of his efforts in communication with potential contractors his company approves of so I continued to look for someone and no one I spoke with wanted to do the job stating they would not remove the Chattahoochee all the way to the edge of the pool as Jim/James required. Jim/James stated himself his companies stopped doing this type of work due to it being so labor intensive. After waiting approximately a month for communication from Jim/Janes, I asked a handyman I was working with who said he could try. I gave the handyman Jim's phone number and Jim the handyman's number. They spoke on the phone once and met in person. The handyman applied an overlay he said he and Jim agreed on. Both Jim and the handyman claim they attempted to contact each other once and both claim the other never responded. Jim was informed when the handyman had completed his work and at that time Jim chose to order the product without reviewing what had been done. Jim/James came out and looked at the work 2 weeks ago and said prep work would need to be done. He then called 6/18 several times and said his crew would be out 6/19 to get started. Jim never stated the project going forward was dependent on a decision by his installation crew. They arrived, did a small amount of sanding on the front porch then went to the back porch, chipped up concrete and gouged several large areas on my patio then said they couldn't do the job. I asked for my deposit back and Jim said no he'd already spent my deposit on product. I asked for the product and he said no and left. Over a week later, Jim/James offered to return just over $4000 of the $10000 stating he has to pay "restocking and shipping fees". It is ignored the original contract does not take into consideration there is nothing included concerning restocking or shipping. He also offered to perform the work with the stipulation the job must be paid in full prior to performing the job. All offers are dependent on removal of this review claiming it is "libelous" though libel is dependent on false information and Jim/James does not dispute the facts stated. Jim/James also disregards and takes no responsibility or accountability for the damage to the patio caused and left by his crew that must now be repaired. I provided a counter offer which would have the restocking and shipping fees split so both Jim/James and I had a responsibility in what took place and I also stated I would accept responsibility to repair the damage of my patio by his crew. To date my counter offer is being ignored. So far, I am now out $10K unless I agree to Jim/James stipulations and accept the responsibility of repairing damage done to my patio by the installation crew from SoftRoc of Melbourne under the direct supervision of Jim/James. It would also be noted the actual contract doesn't include any information concerning cancellation or legal fees yet in small print beneath the company information it has a link to "Terms and Conditions". UPDATE: a counter offer to my counter has been made to return $5200 of the $10000 or now release the product to me. Along with either of these would be a required signed "release" and no monies returned until SoftRoc of Melbourne receives a refund. It is unknown what is contained in that "release" or how long a refund may take.

They were friendly and thorough and kept us up to date on their progress throughout the process. We are very happy with the way the driveway turned out. A friend recommended this company to deal with my driveway after years of water erosion removed…read moremost of the dirt from beneath it. They removed the cracked and broken (and too narrow) slab, replaced the collapsed drainage culvert on a new footer, added fill, graded/compacted the site, then poured/finished the new concrete. In addition to the replacing and widening the main slab, they also replaced a part of my sidewalk which had cracked due to the same soil erosion. Their team of four were onsite for three days with additional staff helping during the pour. It was amazing to see them work tirelessly in 90 degree weather. These guys are professional, skilled and incredibly resilient. There was a one day pause in activity as the city inspectors came by to inspect the work in process and it passed without any complications. Now three days later, my new driveway is spacious and beautiful. Next year, I will be hiring Sam and his team again to lift and fill my sagging back porch and maybe add a pad for my trash cans. In terms of value, Sam's bid was among the lowest that I acquired beforehand and the absolute lowest for an all inclusive solution. ( I had one person beat Sam's price but only if I would personally handle all of the city paperwork and permitting. ) Sam's people took care of all of that hassle and expedited the city approval process with admirable skill. Throughout the process, they cleaned up each night and on the final day, installed new sod along both sides of the slab and over the extended culvert. I have no complaints and feel very lucky to have chosen the right team for this job!
