Hi all. I'm back…read more Not one to miss giving credit where it is indeed due, I just wanted to throw a prop to Bill Green, the gentleman who came in to our office to lead the adult/workplace CPR class. Much like a thwarted workplace emergency, he was equal parts stern upfront and funny later on, and even though he picked me as his pet to humiliate all through the class (perhaps revenge for my last review? OH YOU ARE SNEAKY, RED CROSS), we all had a merry old time giving fake quick upward thrusts and counting compressions. Even though it seems CPR training is going the way of the dodo, and now we're all just supposed to call 911 and wait on instructions. Oh well. Years of information accrued during infinite rainy days at camp and grainy VHS tapes? Prepare to meet your Q-tip.

Thank you for your review Lisa. I've been an instructor with the Red Cross for 27 years. I know…read moreLorrie & I know Bill Green. Bill Green has a wealth of knowledge from all his years of experience & his personality comes across well in his delivery. Lorrie was on a pre-med curriculum when she was in high school. She went on to Physicians Assistant school & is currently working in an emergency room of a local hospital. I know & have worked with Lorrie many times and she always delivered an excellent class any time I observed her. Anyone can have a bad day & you can't please all of the people all of the time - as I well know from all my years of teaching - but I don't understand any basis for Tanya's review. I appreciate you taking the time to express your opinion that is more in line with what I've seen of Lorrie's knowledge & presentation skills.

Awesome ACLS class, and great value…read more I had to do ACLS training for work, and my medical school quoted me $310 for a single-day session. For around half the price of this, I registered for the CPR Boston class at Carney Hospital held over two sessions. The instructors were engaging and knowledgeable, and made the class enjoyable and fun. If it's your first time it's helpful to study beforehand and know all the algorithms, and then enjoy the high-yield lectures and the hands-on practice. The sessions were on-point and very efficient. If I'm in the Boston area and doing re-certification I would come here again. Do this course!

DANGEROUS: I'm registered nurse who has taken many BLS/CPR courses over the years. I've never had…read morean instructor that even came close to being as incompetent and honestly at times, outright negligent with the life saving information and techniques he was providing. . At the start of the class the instructor passed around a stack of certification forms that had already been filled out and signed by instructor as passing. The instructional videos were shown on a 19 inch monitor located on a table in a corner at the far end of the meeting space. With 22 attendees in the room. Of course the AHA and CPR Boston laughed at me when I asked for refund. Said since I had already claimed my e-card, if I wanted refund I could send email request and that would invalidate my certification.
