Ellie is a fantastic instructor! She does a great job of engaging the class and is also a genuinely kind, funny person who clearly cares a lot about spreading her knowledge as a medical professional. I appreciated her personal experience in the field and how she applied that real-world knowledge to the class. I will definitely be renewing my certification in 2 years with Ellie, despite living 45 minutes away from Lawrence! Ellie and her class are amazing!! She is super sweet, kind, funny and so down to earth. Her class was the easiest and fastest CPR course I have ever completed. The online part was easy; it required me to watch some modules and answer questions. The in person part was even easier. She walks you through each step and you do everything together, so there is no chance of missing anything. She does not move on until everyone in the group is on the same page. Throughout the class she constantly was making me laugh, which was such a relief because I'm usually so nervous that I am going to mess up. She's a superwoman, because she also works a full time job, so it might take her a little bit to get back to you, but I'm telling you it is so worth it! I will ALWAYS go to Ellie for recertification every two years!! She is hands down, THE BEST! read more

As a yoga teacher, I needed to update my CPR certification this year. In the past, I had always gone to the Red Cross to be certified. When I learned that I could get certified by a Lawrence resident operating a small business, I decided to try Ellie's CPR. Ellie is really a great instructor. Her class sizes are much smaller than the typical Red Cross class. Because of this, I received much more personal attention. Also, Ellie is a trained medical professional and has done extensive ER work. This means she has actually used these skills in real life. I suspect that many other instructors have only practiced on mannequins. This means that I could ask more real-world questions and get answers that came from real experience. To top it off, Ellie is also bilingual and can offer CPR in Spanish as well. I found Ellie's training to be top-notch and would highly recommend her training to anyone in need of CPR, AED or first aid training. read more
