Really great school, the teachers are incredible and really care. Many have been there for 10+ years. Really amazing inconvenient that there are multiple different schedules you can pick from, we do one of their TOPS PM programs and love that my kids get asleep every day and the mornings aren't as rushed. The only downside about the school is the lack of prioritization on outdoor play, starting in third grade. They cut out most recesses during the week and fourth grade up in most classroom that I'm aware of they do not go outside for recess, except for on Friday they only get little breaks in the classroom to socialize. My kids are busy playing club sports so that's one of the reasons we love the shorter day schedule so we make it work, but it would be incredible to still fit in one little outdoor recess every day, kids need to be outside! Will specifically mention Renee Powell who is an extremely talented and caring 1st grade teacher. I'm continually blown away when I'm in her classroom by her balance of classroom management while still being patient, loving and kind to the kids who need something and have comments and questions literally every 10 seconds. My daughter has struggled a bit to keep up with grade level standards and she has really gone above and beyond to give her the individual attention she needs and to partner with me on everything we can do to help her. I have been at this school for 7 years. This is the worst school ever to exist, and I've been to one other school. The kids here have bullied me every year. My mom and sister emailed the principal about it over 10 times with no answer. We asked him why he hadn't done anything and he said, "It went into my junk automatically." Should I really believe the man who ran away from my mom after she said hi? No! No! I would never. These homophobic kids have bullied me for a whole year in front of teachers. After yelling "It's back!" and everyone gasping, the teacher got mad at my friend for winking. Other kids have thrown food at me, called me names, even called me slurs behind my back, and the teachers get mad at me for standing RIGHT BESIDE THE BENCHES during lunch. They also have gone against my IEP since I was a kid. They have been told REPEATEDLY that I have to have my work cut down and one of the teachers has followed that rule. The only exception to this awful school is my 5th grade teacher. I will not name him, but if you have been at this school for a long time, you must have heard of him. He was amazing, followed my IEP, ACTUALLY cared about people being unkind to other students, and let us all give constructive criticism about his teaching. I used to go to this school from pre-k to sixth grade. This school does not prioritize the wellbeing of your students, and frankly, they don't care. I was assaulted by another student my 6th grade year, and nothing was done. In fifth grade the same student had said he was going to sa me, and the school did nothing. Many students came forward saying that what I had said was true, but the principal did not care; believing the predator over the victim with multiple witnesses. Then, they went on to give that student an award for 'Most changed person in one year.' That was unacceptable, and a slap in the face to my eleven year-old self. I developed depression and anxiety from that instance of sa, even scratching at my own hands so hard they'd bleed: because I was so scared. This is a terrible school, if you love your children, please do not send them here. read more

I have been going to this school since kindergarten to eighth grade. The elementary was okay and my first grade class the teacher had to be fired because she was being mean to students.And she wasn't gonna be fired until one of the parents got involved and threatened to sue the school.If she wasn't fired once you reach fifth grade, a school gets really bad and the staff stops caring for you. And once you get into junior high and it gets even worse an administration does not care. Everybody's chromebooks, didn't work, and they shut down the boys' restroom for more than have the year when I was in seventh grade and this year, they implemented a new learning application called subject, but subject is terrible. It's made with a I and even if you leave the tab, it will say that you used a I on your work.They're grading, is terrible.And you'll get bad grades for even work.That you tried on every day, my sister, who is in high school and also attends edgeprise, she would come home complaining every single day about how bad it was in that her grades kept tanking because of subject. The school does not care about the students.They only care about what rating they have on the school and they often don't care about anything except for your grades most teachers were good, but some were not very good at all.Some would just give you a worksheet and tell you to do it, while other teachers would actually explain how you do the thing and then they would let you do it yourself, and you could actually raise your hand and ask for help.While many teachers did not care at what didn't help you even if you raised your hand many times if teachers had a child going to that school, the child would not get in trouble at all.And could do many things that any other student would not be allowed to do showing that they favorite students just because their parents worked there i have also seen that once a student gets in trouble for something. One time that student continues to be targeted in class. I have been in their special education program since third grade and and they treat you as if you don't know what anything is. They'll make you read simple sentences that you learned in kindergarten in understand but they'll act like you don't understand it. I have been there since kindergarden and since they shut down the highschool (which is good they did) I have to switch schools. The elementary is great, but when you go into junior high and highschool it gets really bad. The programs the use are horrible and are NOT replacing teachers in anyway. Subject, one of the programs they heavily use, is the WORST way to learn. It grades with AI and gets your grades/scores all messed up ( it tanked my grade in a class before subject I was passing) and its really hard to follow the courses. Eduprize is doing a hybrid and online highschool, which is all Subject, and I would strongly recommend you NOT send your kids there. Junior high is fine, but they also use subject and other things that really shouldn't be used. The textbooks, for the 2 classes that have them, suck and they dont even have the right answers for the problems sometimes, even the teachers hate them. The teachers are great, every teacher is amazing and they do such a good job with what they have, but everyone else could honestly care less, they put on a show then when you leave its completely different. Everyone other than teachers didnt care if you learned, but more aboit test scores and if you followed the dress code. Im not writing this review just because I went there, Im writing it becuase it was horrible, moving on to a different school is going to be hard becuase what I learned at eduprize is far behind other schools. And Im not joking when I say EVERYONE who went there hated it. So many people left the first month of the school year because they didnt like the school. If your sending your kid there for elementary thats perfect, its amazing for younger kids, and I loved it. If you want you kid to go there and its for junior high or high school, there's other options. read more

Eduprize in San Tan Valley, AZ My daughter went here for 2nd grade and I was so excited for her because one of my good friends children go here. The teacher was just awful to the students. Not just mine but all of them. Ms. Bradley doesn't have the heart to be a 2nd grade teacher. Speaking with anyone regarding the issue at first was a hassle. The assistants for the vice principal and actually principal couldn't never call to speak with me over the phone, only would speak to me via email. I had to go to the super intendant about two different issues. One very big issue was there was a classmate who caused harm to 3 kids and we were informed about the situation at all. When I brought it to their attention they said "student privacy" and I said I'm not asking for the students name or address or parents phone number but when chairs are being thrown by a student at other kids because he had a episode I would love to be informed and reassured that my student is safe not only in that class room but at the school and what precautions were going to be taken after. And the other issue was no matter what if your kids maintains good grades all year long, if they do not do good with the "iready" testing then they will not be rewarded. Ms. Bradley gave the class an ice cream party for kids who showed improvement from the beginning of the year. My daughter's math with the "iready" testing stayed the same from the beginning of the year. So she was not rewarded ice cream even though she had great grades! She came home crying saying "I'm so dumb" "I'm not worthy" because she didn't get to eat ice cream with her class. (Her and 3 other students) and I pull up her grades and I said look at these grades! You worked so hard to maintain these A's and B's all year long! You are not dumb. And I'm waiting for the "iready" test scores to be uploaded and after a week nothing so I emailed the teacher and she said they don't go against grades. It's for the school to maintain their A in education rating! And also goes against the teachers grade with the school to make sure they are doing their job. So I took it as since my daughter didn't show improvement in all the subjects in the "iready" testing to make you guys look good then she gets no ice cream. I want to add it's not all teachers at the school, we ended up just getting the 2nd grade teacher who had no sympathy her students. There is a group for Eduprize parents that is monitored by one of the schools admins so parents aren't allowed to speak their mind or tell their stories, so a different group was made by a parent herself and there are a few posts from other parents about Ms. Bradley and sharing their thoughts/experiences and it's just awful what this poor 8 year olds had to go through. The students here are absolutely horrible!! And the staff does nothing to stop bullying and aggression!! I will not name names, but a certain student i attend school with(she goes to the evit dental assistant program pm)has been giving me a hard time. And she's oddly close with one of the male teachers, she even makes sexual remarks about him. read more

I have two sons in 4th and 6th grades at Eduprize, and they've both been here since Kindergarten. It is a wonderful school and it feels more like a family, and I couldn't be happier with the experience we've had so far. The teachers are amazing and go above and beyond, and all of the administration and support staff from the deans to the aides to the front desk workers are friendly and helpful and know every kid by name. My youngest son has an IEP and gets most of his instruction from the special ed department and specialists, and I could not be more pleasantly surprised and impressed with his IEP team and how fervently they work to make sure he is exceeding his goals and challenging his highest potential. My oldest has participated in fun clubs like Drama and Anime, and has been a part of Band since 5th grade and loves it. For a charter school, there are so many options for extracurriculars and the field trips have been amazing, and I haven't felt like my kids have missed out on any of the conveniences usually ascribed to public schools. The teachers welcome and encourage parent involvement and I have volunteered in both of my kids' classrooms every week since they started school and really get to know their teachers and classmates, which is really special. Eduprize has been a great home for my kiddos and I would highly recommend it to anyone. read more

I went to this school from first to eighth grade. Let me just say, not a positive experience, AT ALL. For the majority of my time here, I found the curriculum to be confusing. While the assignments were unending and tiresome, the work we learned was unadvanced and miniscule. This schools whole system is a recipe for disaster. Most students don't comprehend the coursework, and instead of the school giving them proper attention and information, they pack them into big groups with tired and angry teachers. The group settings are not designed for individual learning or special attention; they consist of autistic, disabled, adhd, and down syndrome students. If you do not have any of these issues, and you simply don't understand the work, they will still place you with them to learn at that exact pace. The problem is that these groups are not efficient, and students still fail, but in order to raise their grades, teachers just label them ALL as 'disability' and give them little to no work. HOW is anyone supposed to learn in this system? On top of that, teachers are bitter and hateful. The school principles and admin do nothing about it. Multiple teachers attending here were accused of grooming students. Guess how many of them were investigated? 0. 5 girls came forward about this creep teacher, that WE ALL KNOW is doing sick things, and nothing was done about him. Rules here make no sense: Staff never even let students get up on their own to throw away trash during lunch. Staff members have grabbed students by their arms and shoved them into walls but scream at students if they do anything as little as go to the bathroom without asking. Some teachers throw pencils, erasers at students in anger and yet they aren't corrected. Aids used to make elementary kids sit against the wall the whole entire recess. RECESS! The only time these children get to play. Staff doesn't appreciate children here. They keep them on a tight leash and suppress their voices. Bullying goes unnoticed or treated. I can account. I got bullied here for 6 years of my life. Physically pushed, excluded, and insulted. One of them being Mia Sly, the daughter of the staff member Kara Jenson Hollenbeck. School took especially no immediate action towards this as they often don't care about problems that don't involve their own image. Many children of staff get away with bullying because admin just couldn't care less. Frankly, most of the teachers here have been loud mouthed aggressive bullies themselves. Tracy Marshall, teaching 8th grade, shouldn't even be allowed to walk on campus. She cusses out most of her students but takes a creepy liking to some male students. I went here in 4th grade after coming from a school that challenged me and made me a smart kid, and when I went here, they made my spelling words things you wouldn't learn in kindergarten or 1st grade like colors of the rainbow, or short three letter words. My teacher showed up to school in the same crusty outfit like she just crawled out of the attic. My mother brought in all the work I did in 1st and 2nd grade, and showed the headmaster that I have been doing this same type of work instead of further challenging me. I don't recommend this school, they didn't do anything about the kids bullying me either. I had a kid once tell me not to eat my lunch, or he would cut off my hair, which was almost to my butt at the time, and I told the teacher that he threatened to do so, and she told me, "oh that isn't a threat sweetie, go sit back down" and the kid smirked at me, waving his scissors at me. read more

Worst school ever, they are rude and don't know what the children need or don't. I spent 8 years there ,and more tears than math equations. My best friend of 8 years is going to have a teacher there, a man that was accused of molestation by my friends and fellow classmates. I'm scared when I drive by this school, almost as if PTSD from my awful experience's and my friend's too. Like the time in 5th grade when my best friend got threatened from a classmate that he would "get her pregnant" just because the child who did this was mentally ill, he got 1 hour of detention while my friend got a whole day. Another thing in my 5th grade class that happened to my best Friend was that, when she was holding hands with her girlfriend ...my teacher told them "stop being lesbian" and "they couldn't do that anywhere". What were they doing that was wrong???? One of my classmates in 3rd grade hated his teacher so much, his teacher would be the one bullying him. Do you know what happened to that little boy? He attempted suicide, he went into a 2 month coma. Do you really want these people around your kids??? This story is one concerning me, once in the first week of school, a boy hit me in the head with a full plastic water bottle. He called me a b*tch, c*nt, and my best friend a h*e. He sat out of PE class for 10 minutes, was that enough??? No!!!!!! Last, but definitely not least, when I was starting elementary school a boy who was rude and mean to me that I had NO INTEREST in, kissed me. I was not near him, not talking to him, not next to him, NO!!!!!!!!!!! Sitting in MY seat coloring with crayons. I told the teacher everything that happened, she responded with, "Oh, young love is so adorable!!!!" I was a little kid who got sexually assaulted, did I deserve that? At such a young age, I say no. I have even heard most of my teachers say profanities while teaching, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. I haven't learned one thing there, and I never will, but I'm glad I'm going to a new junior high. If you want to heart the Principal say the "F word" in front of your child then this the school for your children. My daughter was bullied and nothing was done about it. When she started to defend herself she was the one suspended. This school pretends to care about their children but they really don't. Worst school I've ever attended. I used to go there from K-3rd grade, while there were a couple good teachers, there were some really awful ones that caused me emotional damage for years after. Especially Mrs. Rogers, she did not know how to teach me at all and when I didn't know the answer she would yell at me and single me out in front of the entire class. She made me feel worthless and stupid. My parents started noticing me repeat those words to myself at home so they were very concerned, and after hearing from a couple classmates how she treated me, they pulled me out of her class. But that's not all, in addition to terrible teachers, the students were not any better themselves. There was lots of bullying going on, physical fights breaking out, and just awful behavior all around. Tl;dr: do not put your kids in this school, I know from experience how awful it was, there are much better options like Gilbert public schools that do a much better job teaching without harming your child's mental health! read more

The worst school I have ever sent my teenage daughter to. She has been harassed, bullied, even attacked by other students (and teachers) at times and was completely ignored. Do not send your child to eduprize, it will be the worst mistake you will ever make and leave your child scarred for years. My daughter would often come home crying and occasionally covered in bruises/cuts. She was cyber bullied and even bullied in person. She became a shell of a person due to eduprize's ignorance. However, there are/were some really amazing teachers there. Mrs. Trezise, Mrs. Lewis, Ms. Landrum, and Mrs. Richert were all amazing and easy to communicate with. Overall this was a terrible choice of schools and since withdrawing my daughter shes been thriving and much happier. Her grades have also improved significantly :). Don't fall for the sales pitch, your children are worth so much more than this. read more

Wow there is a whole lot of hate in some of those reviews. I can only speak to our experience while our two kids went to Edu-Prize's Gilbert campus. They attended from kindergarten through the 8th grade, and they are now graduating from high school with honors. They were well prepared for high school, and loved their experience at the school. We found the Principal, teachers and staff loving and concerned for our kids and all the children under their charge. Of course it wasn't perfect, and there were things that we had to work through, and there were some growing pains for the school also. But "Hello" people welcome to the real world. I know things can change over time, but I would highly recommend you check out this school for yourself. Don't let the angry venting of strangers dissuade you from what maybe one of the best places for your children and their education, so make up your own mind. P.S. As to the specific charge leveled against Dr. McCammon in 1 review. All I can say is the Dr. McCammon we were privileged to have as Principal, during our kids 9 years at Edu-Prize was one of the most wonderful, loving and caring leaders we could have ever hoped for. We love this school!!! My daughter is in first grade and also attended Kindergarten here. The teachers are caring and are very engaging. I love the variety of schedules they offer to accommodate families. They provide theme based curriculum that really keeps the children interested and engaged in their learning. I feel like my child is safe and she loves going to school. She had learned so much, not just with her academics but in character as well. They have an awesome character building program which is much needed in today's society. The aides that patrol carpool and recess are amazing! They are very friendly and keep the Children safe and run a tight ship to keep things running smoothly in carpool and during lunch and recess. I highly recommend this school! read more
