About three weeks later, the procedure took place at Marin Health, and it was a very pleasant experience in every way. The staff is quite nice and everything went smoothly. I got out about five hours later and felt somewhat sore and tight. Within three days, it was all feeling pretty darn good, and within two weeks it was almost as if it has never happened! I was really impressed with the entire result, especially with Dr Minnis. I think he is extremely experienced and competent, and I highly recommend him!

While Dr Kim's academic achievements are impressive, his communication skills are woefully lacking…read more By that I mean he did not communicate basic information about a procedure until AFTER he performed it on me. I was scheduled for a consultation regarding a cyst in my wrist. Going into it, I knew I preferred draining the cyst, as opposed to cutting it out, and anticipated discussing this option. Instead, he went and got the supplies necessary to drain the cyst right then. It seemed silly to object and insist on scheduling a future appointment to do something he was ready to do during the current appointment, so I agreed. After he drained the cyst, he told me there would be some swelling because he'd injected it with cortisone. That was all he said. I had to ask if there were any restrictions on using my wrist, to which he responded that I should wear a wrist brace - for a MONTH. That is the kind of thing a patient needs to know AHEAD OF TIME. Luckily I had a wist brace at home, because that was not provided. I was surprised to discover I was unable to move or use my fingers the entire day because even the slightest movement of the fingers was very painful. That night when I took the brace off to change into my pajamas, my entire wrist was discolored from bruising. Dr. Kim did not mention anything about pain in the fingers & wrist, being unable to move the fingers & wrist, or bruising. I have no idea if those are normal consequences of the procedure, or if they are a sign that something is amiss. Dr. Kim acted as if this was similar to having blood drawn; they stick the needle in, it's uncomfortable for a moment, and then you go on your merry way. If I had known I would not be able to use my hand for a month, I would have scheduled the procedure accordingly. For example, after the huge project I need to complete in the coming weeks. Now I have a firm deadline approaching and I can't use one of my hands! This is a big problem for me. I also would have communicated whether or not I would permit him to inject my wrist with cortisone. Dr. Kim made no mention of risks or possible complications. It feels violating to have a Dr. mislead you about a procedure.

I'm now at the ER b/c Marin Health messed up the appointment and I could not get through to this office for 15 mins to let them know I was driving from the incorrect office they sent me to. Did not wait for us to arrive. Arrived 10 mins after schedule appt. Doctor left for the day. Was given nothing but "sorry it's not our fault" and " sorry we can't help you". Oh..and don't worry about the pain, "we can see if we can fit you in on Monday" Total clown show. Have already started to look for a more professional office for my family's medical needs.

Worst surgeon ever, thank god she is no longer working in Marin…read more During a revision surgery, She put more metal in my leg...I have a metal allergy, I now take $5000 worth of meds every month to keep that metal from killing me. She caused severe blood loss during surgery and told me when I got home to treat the anemia she caused by telling me to eat lots of lentils...lentils are high in nickel. It took a month of IV treatments to resolve the anemia. She aggressively treated an infection I never had with meds which started to cause damage. AVIID HER WHEREVER SHE WORKS!!!

I did actually have to DRIVE to their office while I was "on hold" telling me that they were "busy with other patients". Still after 35 minutes of drive time, I walked in and a lady was sitting at her computer and I asked why no one was picking up the phone - I've been on hold for over 1/2 hour. She said she had no idea. The place was empty expect for a few people walking around looking busy. I did schedule an appointment there - and actually had a treatment. It didn't really do the job. So, I have been trying to go a reschedule - to no avail. Bad follow up, bad front office and not worth the aggravation. I would really avoid these guys.
