This dr completely botched my lips by overfilling with an insane amount of filler and Sent Me to the ER then acted like it wasn't a big deal and like they were doing me a favor by giving me free dissolve , now a year later my lips are loose and look very awkward I will never go back there do not trust this doctor. Went there after I paid $250 to see the doctor and he let me down. I went there to get my nose tip fixed and he pretty much said he didn't want to do it because I may not be happy with it a year later. I don't want to see a doctor that is not confident in doing his work. Nice staff but it's all a front. If you are doing any work here your BMI has to be 25., at least that's what he told me. Whatever you do don't question his work, just say yes. I would totally recommend Dr. Edward Gross and his staff, I had kybella injected about a month ago. I can say from the moment I walked in the office his friendly staff greeted me and took care of me with hardly any wait. Kybella burns the fat that accumulates under the chin calling it doble chin, I can say it was a little uncomfortable but bearable. Dr Gross explain the procedure before during and gave me post procedure instructions very clearly. Sara his nurse was very comforting and reassured me that I was feeling was normal. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Gross and paid $150 in advance. I spoke with Nicole who was very nice but at the end of the call, she called me "honey." I would think that a professional, especially in their type of business, would understand that ladies over 55 hate to be called these pet names like honey or sweetie because it sounds condescending. Not only that, it's unprofessional in my opinion. And then there's a very complicated "arbitration" agreement, (over 1500 words) which in my opinion, would have to be reviewed by an attorney, which I believe would probably cost around $200. If anyone reading this still wants to go in, I highly recommend you have an attorney review the legal agreement before you sign it! And actually - why should you have to sign it when you don't even know yet if you're getting any type of surgery done? But yet, it was stated that "appointments may be subject to cancellation and loss of consultation fee if the forms are not completed." Its not common that I leave a positive review but the results from the procedure performed by Dr Gross are simply outstanding and far exceeded my expectations. Initially I had 'buyers remorse', feeling the mark hadnt been met, but as time progressed and the healing phase passed and even into what I would call the settling in phase the optimum results became more and more clear. I have seen Dr. Gross twice. The first time was years ago when he was in a small medical building in Altamonte Springs. Now he is in a beautiful, lavish building in Lake Mary that also houses a health spa. I went this time for a consult on having a facial mole removed. I was guided through this whole process of scanning my skin at check in (just to make me feel bad, I was sure) to a computer generated depiction of the hopeful results. Dr. Gross suggested a laser treatment that wouldn't completely remove the mole but make it less noticeable. He said there was a decent chance I would need another treatment years down the road. The computer generated results were not impressive and for $1500 for one treatment I would expect more!! I felt like the staff and even the building had this phoniness to it. The staff seemed to be in it for the money and I didn't feel any sincerity toward their clients. The lobby had magazines featuring Dr. Gross and touting how wonderful he is. When I had first visited Dr. Gross it was also for mole removal. I was referred to him from my dermatologist because if you live in Florida long enough you'll probably have to have some mole checked out (especially if you are blonde and fair like me). Anyway, he removed two moles then. One on my face left no mark. Another they had trouble getting the stitches out and it left a noticeable scar. I'm sure Dr. Gross does some great work but him, and his office, are not for me. read more

The majority of their ratings online are obviously purchased. This can be very useful to get your ratings up. I don't recommend this place. I had a nose job done by Dr. Gross a year and half ago and still love it. My nose looks great and a huge difference since the first day the cast came off that I teared up! There was hardly any pain so I didn't really need the pain meds, in fact I drove my husband to his surgery 3 days later in Orange City with the cast and all on my nose. The experience was first class from start to finish and the post- opt care was amazing. Nose surgery is very delicate and hard surgery for surgeons but I found the BEST doctor after consulting with 10 other doctors ( I'm very picky)! I had scheduled a consult several months out. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule my appointment for an out of town meeting with a new job. I set another appointment for a few months later. A few hours before the appointment, I found out that my mother had suffered a serious stroke. I was having to deal with phone calls and other distractions. I was running a few mins. behind and called the office to let them know. I apologized and explained that my mother had just had a serious stroke, but I was just down the street. The receptionist insisted that I needed to reschedule. I just got off the phone with the receptionist again. I am currently dealing with my mother with hospice. I did not want to reschedule, but was wondering if they would refund the $50 consult fee since I never had a consult. I realize that they have their own rules, but I feel in some cases maybe the receptionist could be a little more understanding, less rude, and make an exception. I went to see Dr Gross for consult for a lower face and neck lift. When I came into his office I needed to pay $150. for his time which was to be applied toward the surgical bill. I noticed most of the books had before and after pictures of rhinoplasty"s. I asked if I could see the books on face lifts. I also asked how many face lifts he performs in a month. That is important to know when choosing a surgeon. When I was called back to his office, the staff had told him about my questions. Dr Gross seemed offended that I had asked those questions. Run, don't walk, far away from this place! I had a rhinoplasty done here in 2011. My nose healed not only crooked but unsymmetrical within a year of surgery. When I called the office, I was told there was a $150 to see him. Why I have to pay an addition $150 when I already shelled out $7,000 is not only absurd but bad business...I was a returning patient extremely unhappy with the results. I was appalled and offended that Dr. Gross would want uneven work to be walking around Orlando, knowing I would not recommend him to anyone who asked, and could clear display his botched work. Don't worry, I stupidly went back, paid the consult fee, and was quoted $12,00 for a revision of his OWN WORK!!! This should have been complimentary, at least make my nose straight!! I guess an uneven nose is "fine" for him and wants to charge patients for his own mistakes. I truly hope if you are reading this, you will consider going somewhere else!!! read more

I am prefacing this by stating that it took a lot to get me to the point at which I'd write about this because it is a pretty personal matter but I feel I should be warning others as I don't want anyone else to be out their money and feel like a fool. i scheduled a consult for some surgical procedures that I am considering. I met with very nice staff, was photographed, watched a video, looked through a book, and then met with the surgeon who discussed my options and showed me my photos retouched. He also added something that I had not asked for (bad or good move, not sure bc some could take that the wrong way). I was told that the very pricey consult fee of $150 would apply toward my surgery should I decide to proceed so I went home and mulled over some of the information and found that I still had questions and some adjustments to the ideas (my husband said he thought the results were barely noticeable and I agreed). I wrote the office to ask if I could get some information regarding some specific changes and was told I had to book another consult. I then asked if this was also $150 and guess what? It was! I wrote again stating that I did not think I needed an entire consult as before and that I simply had a few questions about what had already been discussed, would the doctor reconsider? I was told that they would ask Dr. Gross when he was in the office and I'd be contacted. I never heard back. Later, I decided to once again email the contact person and ask if the $150 fee could be applied to something beside surgery. This, too, went unanswered. Finally, I called and was told that the fee was only applicable on the day of the consult and not after. This may not be correct information because I did speak with their coordinator after my appointment and this was never mentioned. It also seems very unreasonable to expect someone to make a relatively large decision immediately and, since most people meet with more than one surgeon, also unlikely. After these disappointments I would not recommend this practice. So, while I don't know his "work" I have surmised that you are just a dollar sign and that alone is enough for me to walk away. Update: Oddly, the day after I wrote this I received an email stating that they've been trying to reach me - I am not sure if this is a coincidence but after my attempts to contact them via email, my call yesterday, and zero message on my phone it does seem a little strange but I doubt they read yelp daily. I'd had a Rhinoplasty done in 95 with Dr. T w/a revision by his brother a year later. My bridge was still left ragged on one side, my nose veered left and more bulbous than the right. I saw Dr G for a Rhinoplasty Revision that I'd waited 25+ years to address. He and I discussed my concerns and goals. He he indicated they were sync with his skills and artistry. One year post op my nose looks worse. What was once fairly symmetrical is now asymmetrical, flared and still bulbous on the left side. Every aspect, save for the bridge of my nose, I paid be addressed was not. I mean why bother if you didn't think my goals were unrealistic or unattainable? It's frustrating when someone uses their power and authority to gaslight you into thinking you're not seeing what you're actually seeing. I asked to see the before and after pics and all I was shown was the computer generated outcome of the right and left. How about real time before and after pics that actually depict the surgical outcome? He said he didn't have any pics of the left side despite before and after pictures being taken at every angle during pre and post op visits. The proof is in the before and after pics so I took my own. He projected onto me blaming me for having had prior surgeries. Uh, hello? Previous surgical errors were the reason I sought his expertise in Rhinoplasty Revision and specifically what we discussed and I paid over $10k for him to revise. He suggested the fault lies with me seeking perfection. Not true. I want what we discussed, what you agreed you could achieve and what I paid for not a version of a Melanie Griffith nose. He didn't have the grace to allow my husband to accompany me to my one year post op stating COVID protocols despite patients not having to wear masks since 5/21. Instead he sat in the reception area awkwardly trying to participate in the discussion via facetime. Maybe It's easier to intimidate a female patient w/o the presence of her husband by her side. His final response was another projection stating he wouldn't do my nose a 4th time. Funny, there wouldn't be a 4th time had you done your job. Then he said "he did the best he could, w/his artistry and skills, with what he had to work with" and "your case is closed". I wondered what artistry and skills? Where was the tangible evidence of that? What I wanted was for him to acknowledge his shortcomings to admit he didn't accomplish what was discussed. I didn't expect him to fix it. I wouldn't let him touch me again. Did I mention I had an eyelift where post surgical healing was an absolute nightmare? The left incision would not stay closed. I went back and forth week after week sitting through compassionless re-suturing of incisions with no topical anesthetic. Around the 3rd or 4th time I was crying and he didn't say word. I was told this never happens and made to feel as though this was my fault and somehow I was intentionally causing my incisions to open (as if anyone would want that outcome post surgically). In doing further research on RealSelf I found many people experience their incisions opening and I was not alone in my experience. At one point I was told it would cost an additional $250 in aftercare fees. I protested, wait, what? You want me to pay extra to close incisions that aren't healing properly on top of the anxiety I'm feeling through these return visits post surgically? There was no empathy or compassion for my fears or concerns except from Sara, RN (who is a true gem). Eventually they used skin adhesive and the incision stayed closed. A full year out I still have cauliflower bubbling on the left incision despite doing ScarHeal and compressions daily as well as three IPL sessions. Be prepared for upsales for costly procedures that aren't effective. The IPL didn't help my rosacea, broken capillaries in my nose, eye incision bubbling or below surface blood pooling in my neck. Save your time and your money. Do your research and find someone who demonstrates integrity and sincere interest in helping you achieve your goals. read more

I had a monstrosity on my face! My results so far at four months post op are just above and beyond expectations. I knew going in that the rate of second surgeries for rhinoplasty is high compared to other procedures, but it had been bothering me for YEARS and it was time to do something about it. I researched looking for a doctor for months before finding this location. Quite far from where I actually live but it was the first place I felt comfortable. I had my nose straightened, a bump removed and the tip lifted. It also appears to be more narrow. The swelling still varies day to day but I'm so beyond satisfied. I had a lipoma removed from my shoulder with Dr. Gross yesterday and instantly felt a release of pressure and pain that I've been experiencing for years, due to the lipoma resting on nerves and muscle structure. I wish I could give this a million stars. My story begins as many other stories begin: insecurity, fear, anxiety, and sadness towards the nose in the center of my face. I spent my entire life hiding behind my prescription glasses so people wouldn't see my crooked, uncharacteristic hooked profile. I wore glasses to first dates and aligned my makeup in ways that would least show my nose. I was miserable, insecure, and nervous all the time, and my only solace was reminding myself a nose is only one facial feature and there are numerous others to be happy with. However, I decided one day I truly wanted to consider rhinoplasty, to achieve eternal peace. I visited two other plastic surgeons, yet they were very off-putting, by insulting my nose, discouraging my ideas, and even refusing to use computer technology for a model, arrogantly stating I should trust their final product. Then I came to Dr. Gross's office; I was immediately taken by the comfortable and gentle aura he gave off. He immediately showed computer images and allowed me to have a say in the final product. His staff was incredibly welcoming and pleasant. He didn't make me feel like I NEEDED a nose job; he made me feel like I deserved to want one and that I should have one if I WANT to. I felt secure in my decision. I knew right then that if I ever had rhinoplasty, I would definitely come to Dr. Gross. A year later when I finally made the life-changing decision, they were able to accommodate my surgery date right away, even though it was cutting it close. They were incredibly understanding and miraculously scheduled me for a surgery weeks after my consultation. It was so exciting and amazing, and I'll never forget their generosity in the matter. They completely rearranged the surgery around when I would be available, being as I was a busy student and working as a student-teacher in university. I never had a moment of uneasiness, even during the surgery day. I was in surgery for a very long time, yet he had fixed my deviated septum, which I didn't even know I had. Every time I look in the mirror, I am blown away by the person staring back; how is that possible??? There are really no words that can describe how amazing the result is. It is everything I DREAMED of. I am more confident and happy. I had my rhinoplasty surgery two months ago, and I am so happy I chose Dr. Gross to perform my rhinoplasty. He did an excellent job. I am looking forward to how my nose will look when the swelling has completely gone. I can see a huge difference now, but I can't wait until my nose has completely healed. I had a deviated septum, and 98 percent of my breathing on the left side was blocked. Dr. Gross was able to correct the extensive trauma on the left side of my nose, and now I can breathe 100 percent better. I have wanted rhinoplasty for over 15 years and finally decided to get it done. They say that you can go back to work in a week. I would tell anyone getting this surgery to take off two weeks. I was able to have my cast removed, and the stitches are taken out. Dr. Gross did want to leave my stents in for a full ten days because my septum was very fragile from my surgery. I also had nostril narrowing done, so both sets of those stitches came out on the tenth day. On the tenth day, once I had the stents removed, I was able to breathe out of my nose, and it was terrific. I was never in any pain after my surgery. There was a bit of pressure, which is normal, and I had to breathe out of my mouth to sleep. That was the hardest part of my recovery. I didn't get much sleep those ten days, but with the medications, I was able to ease my anxiety. I recommend watching all the videos Dr. Gross has on YouTube. I used those videos to help me tape my nose correctly and do the compressions twice a day. My favorite part in the morning is removing the tape and doing the compressions on my nose because I can see how perfectly straight it is and how it will look once it is fully healed. I love how Dr. Gross made my nostrils look; they are so cute and tiny. I can't be more adamant about how wonderful Dr. Gross is and his staff. He listened and understood exactly what I wanted him to correct about my nose. The day of my surgery, Dr. Gross went over with me again in detail about what I wanted. I am so glad I told him that I wanted him to make my nostrils smaller and make my nose slightly smaller than what we previously discussed if he thought it would be a good fit for my face. He made my nose PERFECT!! I get compliments all the time from friends and co-workers. They all say the same thing, which is, "Wow, you can't even tell you had your nose done." That is the best compliment because it looks so natural. Dr. Gross corrected everything that bothered me about my nose and was able to do it in a way that didn't change the way I look. I went back for my one-month check-up, and I had developed these little skin bumps on one side of my nostril. Dr. Gross told me that sometimes that happened, and it was something he could easily remove. Dr. Gross removed them for me and was so kind and gentle. It was slightly painful, but he removed them quickly. Once he had removed the little bumps, I wasn't in any pain. It felt much better because that area was tender when I would put the scar gel on. I am delighted with how my incisions are healing. You can barely tell I even have any incisions. I would highly recommend Dr. Gross and his staff. Dr. Gross did an exceptional job. The office is beautiful and the staff is friendly, however there was one major reason for why I did not move forward with selecting Dr. Gross as my surgeon. I felt that my consultation with Dr. Gross was approached with a sales pitch to sell his services. I left his office in disbelief when the nurse reminded me that if I don't make a final decision in 30 days, the price they had quoted me was going to go up staring January 1st. The last thing any Doctor or his staff should ever do to a patient who is about to make such a delicate and life changing decision as Rhinoplasty is to rush the patient, especially financially. read more

I recently got my chin enlarged and my ears pinned back at Dr.Gross's facility in Lake Mary. I AM SO HAPPY. All my adult life, I've hated my protruding ears and underwhelming chin. Dr. Gross took advantage of my trust and stole $650 from a teacher. He represents what is wrong with human greed. He cancelled my surgery (not me) because his nurse anesthetist could not accommodate my allergic reaction to soy in the anesthesia, however, they kept making appointments for which I missed work time. They kept my $150.00 consult fee + $500.00 from the $ I had paid up front, not to mention the time I took off from work. I understood clearly that I would forfeit that $ had I cancelled. In this case, they did the cancelling. From the very first consult I took a friend/ witness to make sure we addressed this allergy clearly. Is there a good lawyer out there? May I continue? The nurse anesthetist shared that she would use anesthesia that would not affect me and come to find out, via research, it did in fact have soy. I have tried contacting Dr. Gross to see if I could use the $ for his other services and ultimately and to my shock was informed that my file was closed. Dr. Gross never emailed, called or wrote back. I mailed a U.S. Post Office return receipt mail and nothing. Dr. Gross did a great job. The post surgery recovery was not painful at all. Dr. Gross and his staff made me feel comfortable and my and qualms that I had disappear. I had my rhinoplasty procedure nearly 2months ago. The staff and Dr were very professional and nice while guiding me step by step through everything. From the consultation, pre-op appt, surgery, and post-op appt, it all went by really smoothly. The recovery process was surprising EXTREMELY easy. I have had multiple cosmetic surgeries with doctors from California to New York. I met with Dr. Gross, and felt that he gave me good advice. Which was NOT to proceed with more surgery LOL. Instead I have had three sessions with his assistant, Gary Rubin, who has treated me with Botox and various fillers. These fillers have plumped up my temples, cheekbones and lips, and given me a much more youthful look, without the pain and downtime of surgery. Gary is a true artist in the use of fillers.
