Wen Ling and Pearson - have answered our calls ONCE in the past 2 weeks regarding this whole process. They email us at 5pm saying we will call tomorrow - right as their offices close. In addition, our insurance coverage allows for a rental car when your insured car is unavailable due to covered issues - the daily limit is $50. There is not a single car rental place in the bay area that is renting out ANY car - economy, compact, whatever - for less than $60 before taxes. What's the point here?

I shot the agent 4 or 5 emails with different levels of coverage and he was more than happy to run the numbers for me. But this is not to say that you should go into buying car insurance blindly without having done your own research. If you want a great deal and make this process less painful, do your research, understand the terms and what coverage you get, and ask the agent questions!
