They didn't even sign the check they gave me and refused to send another one in less than two weeks, so I had to drive back to get them to sign it. I filed a complaint with the CA insurance commissioner. A month later Allstate quickly wrote me another check for more than the first one, so they had low balled my estimate so much they ultimately had to give me more than twice as much. I was hit by someone who had State Farm insurance right before this and the damage was much less but they gave me more than Allstate's two checks added up to with no hassle. Pedro offered to quote me over the phone but I was in the area so I decided to stop by his office so we could expedite the process. When I walked in Pedro greeted me and made me feel welcome by asking me some basic questions about myself just to get the conversation going. After going through the application, I let Pedro know that although price was extremely important, I had never had an agent that was as friendly as he was. Pedro then informed me that he was able to get me a lower rate with Farmers while also providing me with more comprehensive coverage than I had previously. He was then able to get me a larger discount by adding my renters insurance, which turned out to only be a couple extra dollars a month. Overall, it was a great experience and to this day Pedro has been nothing but helpful!

Suggest not bothering with these guys. If they can't answer their phones or return a call for a potential new client what type of service would you get if you actually became a clien? I came across SHOP CA Brokers when I was searching for Covered CA and reading up about the new Obamacare plans that are going on sale October 1, 2013. There were only two reviews on Yelp for SHOP CA Brokers but I figured it was worth giving them a call since on their website stated some of the brokers have over three decades of experience. I called SHOP CA Brokers and the process was simple. I'm very thankful I called. Ron was the agent that assisted me. He was very helpful and more importantly, patient with me. I had so many questions and he took the time to answer every one of them. In the end I do not qualify for a subsidy for Covered CA since I make more than $44k/year. However I was still able to find a fantastic $30/1500 Kaiser medical plan. This medical plan allows me office visits for $30 and an Rx card for $10/35 copays. Then if something major happens I can pay a $1500 deductible and have copays thereafter. This plan is great for me as the monthly premium did heavily weigh in my plan selection. Give SHOP CA Brokers a try, you will not be disappointed!
