After my insurance agent of many years procrastinated and then failed to find me an affordable policy, I was within days of having no insurance at all. Worried, I called BPIA and spoke to Mark Woods. He was FAR more knowledgeable of the CA apartment insurance landscape, and knew exactly what to do and where to find high quality insurance. He explained to me patiently, and in detail the situation, and where we would find a provider. Finally, at the last minute, my old agent did find a policy. It was from out of state, without CA protections, and 2x the price of my old policy, with less coverage. Mark advised me that it was an inferior product and promised he would find a CA carrier with higher $$$ limits and a lower price. He made me his top priority, and searched tirelessly, and in the RIGHT places, communicating frequently along the way, as he knew I was worried. He found a CA carrier with 50% higher limits, better terms, and $2000 cheaper. Now we had to process a bunch of paperwork and answer detailed questions about circuit breakers brands, furnaces, and construction, as required by the carrier. We worked great as a team. The day my old policy expired, Mark worked with me until 11:55 PM to get all the paperwork done and submitted so that coverage would be in effect that same day. At 10:30 PM, when I said, "Mark, please take the rest of the night off and go to bed.", he said, "No. I don't want to see you go without coverage another day." He got the paperwork submitted a few minutes before midnight, showing an effective date that same day. I have to admit I have never gotten an adrenalin rush out of insurance before! Mark Woods at BPIA was the most professional, caring, hard working, dedicated insurance agent I have ever experienced. He took my need for insurance as a personal priority. I highly recommend him and BPIA without reservation.

Today I needed to increase the coverage to meet the requirements of the lender on the condo (am refinancing) in order to close escrow. Esther Lee at BPIA as able to have the carrier increase the coverage and provide proof of the increased coverage in less than an hour. Wilson has been my insurance agent for auto insurance several years now and I don't really have any…read morecomplaints! I haven't had the best luck with car problems (I swear I get problems at least once a year) and every time I reach out to Wilson or his office, they respond pretty quickly during business hours. I recently used State Farm's roadside assistance because I needed to tow my car at midnight. I was informed by the operators (after waiting over an hour) that they weren't able to dispatch a towing company but that I can go find my own and they would be able to reimburse me. I called several agencies and finally found one available to get my car towed and paid for the services out of pocket. I emailed the invoice to Wilson's office in the next couple of days to see how I can submit a claim for reimbursement and, I kid you not, Gina from his office responded WIHTIN 10 minutes letting me know that she will submit it for reimbursement and I should be getting a response in 10 days (see image). And that is pretty much what happened! I have no complaints! My overall experience has been great! Great customer service, responds quickly, and easy to work with. I would recommend!

The quote he provided seems oddly high and thus we decided to take some more time in making the correct decision for us. After putting our inquiry out to several car insurance agencies, we noticed that the quote he gave us was more than $1000 higher than everyone else. Being the nice guy, I gave him a second chance and asked my wife to send him an email seeing if there were ways to reduce our premium. Guess what? He flat out ignored us and never emailed us back cause he knew he got caught with his pants down. He tried to rip us off, 0 customer service, and shouldn't be someone to be trusted if you're coming from out of town like us. We were disappointed, but seriously...more than $1000 higher than the other quotes? Really?
