I have had my nails clipped at Progressive Feet many times without pain and never any blood. This was my first visit with Dr. Pozarny. He "butchered" my feet, his words. He caused horrible pain and drew blood on every toe except one pinky toe. One toe bled so much it left a puddle of blood on the floor. The nurse was left to clean up his mess which required her to gauze each toe, pour antiseptic on each, and apply bandaides on each toe. It was a horrible, no good, very bad experience. Dr. Pozarny is Obnoxious and loud. His reciptionist was illiterate and had no idea what she was doing. I asked her why she was so confused and she said she was new and would be leaving soon for other opportunities. They apparently change receptionist like changing socks. The office was very outdated and looked like something out of the 1950's. Pealing wall paper and simply dark and gloomy. Pozarny himself was very animated and cracked some real immature jokes. I found Dr Pozarny by doing a cursory search for Podiatrist in Arlington. I chose this office based on location and convenience. Dr Pozarny is truly a gem! You just see this type of treatment these days anymore. His staff was very kind, patient and eager to assist. Dr Pozarny was took his time to educate and have me feel comfortable with choosing him to complete my necessary treatment plan. I'm so happy I with this team! read more

Great experience. Took my 8yo daughter there and he was probably one of the most personable doctors we have had, treating her well and providing an excellent distraction. I had never been to a podiatrist so I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Pozarny is really a person who loves his job. He is animated and not a typical dry, boring doctor. He is very knowledgeable. He didn't push unnecessary products or costly solutions to resolve my foot problem, rather he was candid and practical. Would recommend this practice to others. FYI - parking isn't free much like everywhere else. $4.00 flat rate is charged in the garage. It wasn't difficult to find a space but I found a charge at this office building to feel more like someone just trying to make an extra buck rather than a service. read more

Frankly, I'm confused by the negative reviews on this page. Dr. Pozarny and his staff are kind, generous, and friendly. The office is clean and the care provided by both Dr. Pozarny and his nurses is excellent. Dr. Pozarny took time to explain my procedure in detail, made sure I was comfortable, and never made me feel like he was in a rush or that I was wasting his time with questions. After a couple of visits to other doctors (one that wanted to do a procedure in his office, the other spent 5 minutes with me) I went to Dr. Pozarny's office. I have never been to an office where from the moment I walked in I was treated with kindness and respect, from the receptionist to the nurses, all of them were vere professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Pozarny's professionalism is remarkable, he spent more than an hour explaining what needed to be done, answered all my question and made sure I understood all the steps of the procedure. My surgery was in July, at Fairfax Surgical Center where everyone I talked to made me feel comfortable and had nothing but good things to say about Dr. Pozarny. Went to Dr. Pozarny due to an ingrown toenail. First and foremost he is an animated doctor and his staff is very personable. Some people may see this as "unprofessional" but I find it very inviting and comforting. Dr. Pozarny is energetic and enthusiastic and likes to explain his craft. I enjoy this and don't mind him being loud and gregarious. He makes me laugh which helps because I'm a very anxious person. Some people may want a more conservative experience, know that you will not get that here. I've been back for other minor issues and the staff remembers me, has helped me with insurance questions to try and save money, and inquires to my overall health. Went once during the pandemic and some masks had fallen below the nose but otherwise wonderful experience as always. read more

Dr. Pozarny is a godsend. I moved to this area and was searching for a podiatrist, found his practice listed on Google, and decided to give him a shot. I am incredibly picky about doctors, and finding Dr. Pozarny was a blessing. He helped me with a problem that many other doctors have overlooked and avoided. He is funny and kind (a real character), but also incredibly sincere. He takes time with each of his patients (which can lead to long wait times, expect to wait about an hour), but his knowledge is well worth the wait. His office staff are among the kindest people I have ever met, and his nurses are also knowledgeable about their practice. I came here for minor procedure on my toe in early 2019. For a couple months after the procedure I was waking up in a lot of pain with a very swollen toe and the nail started to look super gross. Dr. Pozarny told me I had walked around on it too much. I sought a second opinion and learned that I'd had an infection there for months. I do not know if I picked it up at Dr. Pozarny's office (unlikely) but what I do know is that he looked at my toe on follow-up multiple visits and said it was fine, ignoring my concerns. Dr. Pozarny is a very personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable practitioner. My family and I have been patients for 3 years. In addition, I took one of my clients (I used to do Elder Care) to him. It looked very grim for this client's foot after a year of neglect prior to my taking over his care, and Dr. Pozarny was very cautious and warned us the outcome might not be good. Oh my god, this guy is CRAZY. I had an appointment the day of the snowquester so I called beforehand to make sure the office was still open. The receptionist says they are and that "she's there!" Didn't think to follow it up by asking, "Yes, but is the Dr there?" So I get there for my appt at 10:00 and there's no Dr. I ask when he'll be in and she says the last she heard from him he said he'd be there by 10. The crazy train arrived at about 10:45 to drop him at his office. He comes in in the flurry thanking everyone for coming in, not at all apologetic for the waiting room full of people who were on time. He goes back to his first patient and you can hear EVERY WORD he says to this guy. Thin walls and a booming voice = zero patient privacy. So I heard all about his guys bunions and toe fungus and the recommendation to soak his foot in bleach! And then he's trying to convince this guy to let him shave the bone down under his bunions and what a lovely procedure it is. This guy *loves* to cut I've figured out. I felt like I was in to see some super old school backwoods Dr. When he comes in to see me, he says "WELCOME TO THE FUNNY FARM!" I was already ill at ease and this made me want to run for the door. I had stubbed, no plowed, my toe into a rock and the nail was black and the surrounding area was doing some really wacky swelling. I knew he was going to want to drain the nail but I wanted to be sure there wasn't something else going on too because the swelling was so weird. The guy is delighted. He can't wait to cut into my nail and relieve the "pressure." People had told me that the Dr will usually poke a hole in the nail to drain the blood underneath. This guy took out cuticle clippers and hacked off about a quarter of my nail down to the base. My toe was throbbing in pain for two days and every time I walked it would start bleeding again. He was also running his mouth the entire time. He's the kind of guy that asks you questions but isn't really listening to the answers. It's more of a platform for him to jump from topic to topic to keep talking about whatever insanity was coursing through his mind at the moment. When I left, they wanted to charge me $30 for a brown paper lunch bag filled with band aids that had "nail" scribbled on it. Today, I got the bill from my insurance that the dude charged $475 for the 5 minute hack job. Two words: DON'T GO. read more

He is better than Dr. Pearl, but he is a cheap person. Also he lied to me about a diagnosis -- not knowing i was a Med student. He is knowledgeable, but acts like a clown. He tries to rip you off, and order tests and do useless procedures. read more

I think that's what makes him a better doctor, he is unique but very knowledgeable. He did tell me he usually recommends surgery to fix things so they won't come back, but i didn't feel uncomfortable or pressured. A few years ago I found a podiatrist that I really liked and had a successful surgery by him. When I started having a different foot problem, I contacted him and found out that he had to close his office and was not practicing at that time. He referred me to Dr. Pozarny. I knew as soon as I met him that I liked him. He's personable, animated, and extremely knowledgeable. He explains things, using diagrams, so that you understand what is going on and what will help fix your problem. The doctor will offer several different options and you can then talk it out with him to find the one to suit you best. His staff loves him, as does all the hospital personnel that know him. Minji is a very competent receptionist, and his assistants Karla and Ericka are intelligent and very competent. I always feel welcome there, and am impressed at how much the staff and doctor remember about me. I've now been to Dr. Pozarny for two separate problems and am very pleased at the results. read more

Dr. Pozarny is one of the most knowledgeable physicians I visited. He takes his time to explain the problem, how it occurred, and what needs to be done. He really wants to educate you about the problem, and treat you like you exist and have a mind, not just another patient in line for the day. Perhaps this is why Dr. Pozarny falls behind sometimes with his patients. He spends time with them because he cares. He has performed 2 surgeries on my foot with great success in the last 10 years. He did not do a 'hack job.' His bedside manner is unmatched. His reassuring reminded me of my dad telling me I was going to be alright. He called me the following day (on a weekend) to ask if I was doing okay, also giving me tips to feeling better. He even provides his mobile number and returns calls. About 3 years ago my sister injured her foot and eventually went to the ER. They diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis. She and her husband thought that seemed wrong, and made a call to the doctor's office after 5pm! He saw her that evening and found her foot was fractured. Dr. Pozarny definitely has his own style, and likes to have fun because he truly likes what he does. Can he be loud, yes, can he come off a bit goofy? Sometimes, but the one thing I noticed over the years of visiting him, when all you want is business, he's all business, and he knows his stuff. If you just want an impersonal, robotic person who will spend 3 minutes with you, go see someone else. Want to learn, feel relaxed and actually feel like you are being treated? See Dr. Pozarny. I do not think he does hack jobs, tries to push you into a surgery, or tries to rip you off. I do think he has his own style in the office, and tries to be funny to keep the air light. Some may find it off putting, but I am not bothered. I like going to see not only a knowledgable doctor, but someone who makes me feel like I am his neighbor. HORRIBLE!!!! From the moment you walk in the door, the receptionist is old and has no clue what is going on, the techs are fresh out of high school and could care less about you. As stated below, the Dr. is extremely loud, unprofessional and enters every room stating "Welcome to the funny farm", he does babble on during the entire appointment and never really even listens to you. I was wondering how long I would be in the office with him before he asked me about my foot. Long story short, the guy charged me an ungodly amount of money and said that he'd submit the claim to my insurance and then refund me the money... Weeks later, the guy never submitted the claim! They took my money and ran and didn't even have the common decency to submit the claim or call me to explain the situation. I called their office and a lady said that it was too late to do anything, so now I'm out of pocket hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Dr. Pozarny is an absolute hotshot!! After limping due to pain in my right foot for TWO years, and having THREE prior podiatrist that tell me the x-rays show nothing wrong with my foot, Dr. Edward Pozarny changed my life!! He took the x-rays home with him and found the problem. One again, HE TOOK THE X-RAYS HOME WITH HIM!! How many doctors are that passionate about their work?? The answer is very few....He told me the next day that I had a crushed sesamoid bone in my right foot. I immediately asked him to remove it and a few weeks later he did so. My foot has never been better!! Dr. Pozarny is one of the most spirited doctors I have ever met!! He is a bit eccentric, but that goes along with his brilliance. He absolutely loves what he does!!
