When I started experiencing heel pain, I came to him first. It's great he takes my health insurance. Care quality (5/5): Dr. Idiculla is really kind and knowledgeable. He gave me a comprehensive treatment plan for my plantar fasciitis and I'm confident that it will be treatable. He has a 3 step plan to heal my pain. I was recently seen for a splinter removal in my big toe. I was helping my daughter tie her shoes and felt a sharp pain in my toe when I stood up. It felt like a splinter, but I couldn't see one anywhere so I just went about my day. By that night my toe hurt to walk on and by two days later it was throbbing and I was limping. We kept looking for a splinter using a flashlight and magnifying glass, but couldn't see one. In desperation I called Nova Foot and Ankle and they fit me in the next morning. Apparently podiatrists remove splinters all the time. The doctor numbed my toe, made a small incision, and removed a small sliver of wood from my toe. I had a quick follow up 2 weeks later to make sure everything was healing well (it was). I would highly recommend this office! They're friendly, prompt, and helpful. read more

She is so smart, kind, patient, funny, down to earth and so efficient.... all the things you want in a doctor when you are like me and scared of going to a doctor's office. I have been a patient of Dr. Ami Parikh for a few years. Her staff is friendly and she is absolutely amazing - super friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and a great sense of humor. She has a conservative style for treating her patients, using the least invasive and costly methods first, which I appreciate. She has successfully treated my ingrown toe nails and provided helpful tips for my plantar fasciitis. I appreciate her honesty and trust she has my best interest at heart and not my wallet. I was 23 and all of a sudden my foot started bleeding. One day after work I took off my sock and it was just...not good looking. I put it off for a month thinking that maybe it was some sort of stubborn wart and I did dumb things like stab it to see if I could fix it with some home surgical procedures. I actually had an in grown toenail and it was digging in deep. That was when I figured I should have it professionally looked at. First off, the appointment process was simple and stress free. The office was very accommodating. My doctor was Dr. Idiculla who was very professional. During the surgery he quickly went into conversation ("Going out tonight? Haha no you're not"). The numbing was actually the worst part as I didn't even notice or feel the hacking away of my toe flesh. The procedure was fast but efficient and Dr. Idiculla did well to notice that I bleed like a pig (donating blood gets messy for me) and wrapped me up good for the drive home. Ms. V at the front desk is also terrific. On my second visit (another in grown toe nail wouldn't you believe it) I had some billing issues but she was adamant about getting it resolved. I confirmed with my insurance and in little time the problem was resolved and I didn't have to pay anything extra. Ms. V is really kind and if she doesn't make you smile then you probably walked into the wrong office. I don't imagine I'll have to go back again unless every other single toe becomes afflicted with in grown toe nails but if I have to I know I can put all my confidence into Nova Foot and Ankle. read more

This is from my dear hubby: For a person that has had his feet described as Alligator Feet by his children, wife and brothers, I can say Dr. Ami Parikh is a miracle worker!! She explains in terms that you can easily understand, the care she gave to me was second to none. I will refer ANYONE who asks me "do you know a good foot Dr." to this practice. It is an ongoing fungus issue that I have had for years and in weeks my son said "what are you doing, your feet don't look like alligator skin anymore". That made me smile. read more

I stumbled across NOVA Foot and Ankle at the Herndon Festival, and am I glad I did! I had been dealing with foot pain for almost 6 months and had already seen a dermatologist but hadn't considered a podiatrist. Dr. Idiculla examined me on the spot and I scheduled a follow up appointment (online...a bonus!) I saw Dr. Idiculla and Dr. Parikh. I recently had a severe injury where I had a complete sever of my Achilles' tendon. I won't lie I picked this office at random and I was nervous about the experience i would receive. Ms.V is the receptionist and she is the sweetest woman ever!- she is just like a mom. She will help you feel super comfortable and make sure that you aren't in need of anything. When I first went to the office that was exactly what I needed :) I literally do not have the words for the professionalism of Dr.Parikh, she's beyond amazing. She is so good at what she does and she is extremely comforting! She answered all of the questions I had, explained everything in great detail & what I really appreciated was she made sure not to rush the healing process. I wanted to be off my crutches SO BAD but she wouldn't give into my pressure lol. The surgery went so smooth she did and awesome job and the incision was impeccable. I was in & out of this office for 7 months & I would HIGHLY recommend them. I'm sad I'm all healed now and I won't see her for another 6 months. After spending several frustrating days seeing other doctors about my swollen foot, and having numerous tests (including x-rays), I still did not know the cause of my problem. I called Dr Parikh and obtained an appointment the very next day. She thoroughly examined my foot and determined exactly where the pain was emanating from and took an x-ray. She determined that I had a STRESS FRACTURE...that had been missed by the other doctors. She has my vote of confidence for any future foot ailmets that I may have. read more

I dropped something on my left foot and broke my big toe in three places. Ms. V at the appointment desk somehow got me in the same day at the Springfield office where I came under Dr. Keast's care. He was very patient, answered all my questions and helped me to relax as he did outstanding work on my very badly-injured toe. I left the office feeling much better physically and emotionally. I had a follow up appointment at the Herndon office, which is closer to home, with Dr. Idiculla. He also provided courteous, professional care. He gently unbandaged the toe and assessed the injury. Had I any idea that walking through the clinic door at Nova Foot and Ankle PLLC to receive a cortisone shot would cost me over $1000, I never would have walked in. It's not that my care wasn't well intentioned (though I did not, in fact, get relief from my planar faciitis), rather it was the extreme way in which every aspect of my care was looked at as another opportunity to charge me. Charges that were then marked up exorbitantly. Nova Foot and Ankle takes advantage of every opportunity to charge or double charge for every little thing. So my recommendation is to seek care elsewhere. Frankly, if you suffer from planar faciitis, go online and buy a boot for $30 (the same one I was charged $375 for) and save yourself $1000.
