That surgery was performed by a surgeon in Las Vegas. That surgery was considered a minimally invasive surgery. However, it took me nearly 5 months to heal enough to return to work without significant pain. The bigger issue was that I had more issues post surgery than I did before. I developed numbness in both legs and down to my feet as well as having strong shocks down my legs. I was referred to Dr. Arthur Ulm to help me with this issue. He agreed I wad a candidate for surgery given the symptoms I was presenting. I had surgery 4 weeks ago, and feel like a million bucks! He did an amazing job! Not only do I have relief from the aches and pains of joint issues, but the shocks going down my legs to my feet are gone! I haven't had this much pain and discomfort relief in over 8 years. He knows what he's doing for sure. His staff was attentive and helpful to me and my wife. He was very communicative and prepared. I felt very comfortable gabbing this work done under his charge. I would recommend him for anyone asking about him. Very happy with the result!

What makes it even more ridiculous is that I already completed the online check-in the day before. Yet when I finally got to the desk, I still had to hand over my driver's license and insurance card and verbally verify all the same information that was supposedly completed online. So what exactly is the point of online check-in if patients still have to redo everything at the front desk? Standing in a crowded waiting room line for over half an hour when you're not feeling well isn't a great first impression. The process feels extremely inefficient and defeats the entire purpose of offering online registration in the first place. Hopefully the medical care is better than the check-in process, but based on the first experience, the front-end system definitely needs some serious improvement.

Everything I've been reading from other posts are the same as I have experienced. Staring at comp. screen, not acknowledging you, etc. This is a minor thing compared to what I have an issue with. I had 2 appts scheduled for Mon (12/8/25) with prob estimated an hour between the two. I got there a half hour before my appt bc they needed "prep time" for me before the MRI. My second appointment was supposed to be with Dr. Glattes to discuss the MRI. Come to find out they kicked me off the schedule for the MRI because they didn't get pre-certification from BCBS. So they asked me if I could wait until 8 o'clock for the person to come into work to do the pre-CERT. I said yes, as long as we could get it done before my appointment with Dr. Glattes because that's the whole reason I'm here. They said there should be plenty of time. The person they were speaking of, gets there supposedly at 8 AM, and at 8:30 I went up to check on status and they checked computer bc they sent a message to the back and that person had not received anything back from BCBS and "they are gonna keep trying, but it was a Monday, and they don't cooperate as well on Monday," he said. It all ended with me leaving because they couldn't get the pre-certification and get the MRI done that day so that I could talk with Dr. Glattes. Not only did I take off work and have these appts appointment two months in advance, but I also missed out on regular pay plus overtime (I don't have PTO and I drove from North Dickson) Then they call me back today (2 days later, Wed 12/10) and first thing she asks is for me to verify with my birthday and I ask what this is regarding and she says "pre-certification for the MRI" OMG they still haven't done the pre-CERT!!?? Why didn't this take place weeks before I even got to my appointment? My deductible is paid up for the year and I'm not gonna be able to get back in before the first. I don't know if I will come back even though Dr. Glattes is fabulous. (Prior surgery) I can find a better operating office, that doesn't waste my time. Maybe they are too big and don't have enough staff not sure, and not my department! 2 stars because Dr Glattes is great.

Once the nurse called me back (about 40 minutes after arriving), things were better. They did X-rays promptly, and the PA. who saw me was very nice. She gave good advice about a steroid shot, and agreed that oral steroids might be better, since I'm a musician with a long show today. No advice on PT., only solution was surgery, which was something we agreed won't work for me. If management would fix the front desk problem I could give this place a better review.
