Wonderful customer service. Even though our part that we ordered was only $8, they still provided top notch service. One of the blades on my kitchen oven range fan broke off. I looked on the internet and googled the manufacturer. The website stated they discontinued the part and no longer sells it. So hubs called Edwards A1, the woman on the phone searched her inventory. She confirmed that the manufacturer no longer stocks the part. But she was a smart cookie and she cross matched the part description/dimensions to another manufacturer. & she disclosed to hubs that the part color is black. We were looking for a white part. We ordered it and it promptly arrived within 3 business days. In the future, we will use them again to order appliance parts. read more

I called because my dryer stopped working unexpectedly and I needed someone to check it out. The interaction over the phone was extremely pleasant; excellent customer service. I had expected that I would have to find a way to bring my dryer to them but was pleasantly surprised to find out they could come to my home. I was even more pleased to find out they could have a technician come out within only a couple hours of my call. The technician was thorough and quick and immediately identified the problem with my dryer. He was able to run back to the shop to get the part and came right back to fix it. All in all from his first arrival to diagnose the problem to the completion of the repair, it only took about 1 1/2 hours. Their cost is extremely fair and their service was far better than most companies I deal with. The customer service skills of the technician, David, were exemplary which seems to be hard to find nowadays. I will definitely use their company again in the future and would also recommend them. read more

Unreal. I call to set up a service appointment for my Creda cooktop. The lady says "we're running a week backlog." So I schedule for a week later. She confirms with me that it's a Creda cooktop and takes the model number, and says "we'll make sure the repair person has the right parts." So here it is, a week later, we're waiting for the repair person. Then we get the call: it's the service guy, who says (wait for it....), "oh, we don't work on Creda. They should have told you that." To whomever manages Edwards A-1 appliance, suggest a refresher course in customer service. read more

I have a one-unit GE oven/microwave and the oven quit working. The Edward's A-1 technician diagnosed it quickly as a problem with the circuit board, which costs about $300 to replace, but he was able to solder it and the service call and the fix was only $134. I feel like I dodged a bullet because if this unit was "dead" it's a $2500 replacement. I appreciate the honesty and integrity and skill of the technician, and if I could give them a 10-star review I would. I highly recommend them. read more

My wife ordered a dishwasher from edwards 2 1/2 weeks ago . After getting no call back and expecting delivery she placed two calls a week ago to get the status . Both calls were never returned . We would have had the option to purchase elsewhere had they had the courtesy to inform us of the status . I followed up with a call this am and was promised the customer care manager would be in within a half hour and would call me back . They did not call us back . They are extremely un professional , greatly disappointing and would never order anything from them again read more

Twenty years ago I bought my first investment property in Pollock Pines, CA. I found that I needed a new refrigerator in one of the units so I contacted the usual stores to try to get a new one. No store would deliver a new refrigerator in Pollock Pines much less install the unit and take away and dispose of the old one. A friend told me to call Edwards A 1 Appliance in Placerville and they would take care of me. I called them and they took care of everything for me. They gave me the right size unit, they delivered it, they installed it, plugged it in to make sure everything was working properly, balanced it and hauled away and disposed of the old unit. Needless to say I was very pleased with the way they handled my purchase. I now have 55 rental units in El Dorado County and I always use Edwards for all my appliance needs. And in 20 years they have never failed to handle my needs in a professional and excellent way. Waaayyy more than 5 star rating deserved! Katie you are our angel. We had ordered a $3k washer/dryer from Home Depot and now waiting on 4 weeks for delivery. One excuse after another. NOT! Went back, cancelled order, got a refund. Went to Edward's A-1 Appliance and Katie helped us to order the same set. Better price, received a $50. rebate (not offered from Home Depot) & no pushy extended warranty. And better yet, the entire set will be delivered this Thursday! Don't be misled from Home Depot, they need to use a delivery company that can deliver! read more

I purchased a used dishwasher and had a problem with it. I then purchased a new one and they gave me full credit for the old one and installation. They sold me a dishwasher I didn't need after telling me my old one was dead. When the new one didn't work either, they checked the power and discovered it was only at 50%. They told me to call an electrician and left, leaving a pile of saw dust, insulation, and wood chips in the middle of my kitchen floor. Definitely not a good experience. read more

I was very fortunate to find Edwards A-1 Appliance on my cell phone Saturday 8-5-17 morning. On Friday 8-4-17 my washing machine of 11 years kicked the bucket. My husband looked up Costco, Home Depot and Lowe's and I found Edwards A-1.They were open on a Saturday that I needed them and I got exactly what I was looking for and cheaper than all the big stores. I walked in the front door and saw the Maytag washer & dryer that I wanted and they were on sale and in stock. The delivery was only 3 days later, not 2 weeks like the big stores. The service and attention given to me was exceptional. The person helping me even submitted the rebate forms for me on line and I didn't even have to do a thing. She was awesome. Friendly, helpful service. They seem very honest, reasonably priced, and I was pleased with the advice I received and the price for the replacement part. I had an issue with my GE refrigerator coils icing over. Online forum advice indicated the issue was likely with the defrost heater element, or one of the sensors. I pulled the defrost heater out, and called up Edward's to find out if they had a replacement. Their inventory indicated that they did not carry the part, but suggested I stop by to see if one of their other parts was compatible. They had the parts ready to compare when I arrived. As it turned out, they had an exact match to the part I had pulled from my fridge, although the GE parts system said mine was supposed to take a dual-element part. Oh well - I have heard that GE switches out replacement parts from time to time. When I asked about replacing other sensors, they said that the defrost heating element is usually the culprit, and suggested I just try it and see if that fixed the problem. I'll definitely be recommending Edward's to my friends and neighbors. read more

I called A1 appliance to fix my dryer, they were very nice over the phone and quoted no more that $170 for the repair unless it was a sensor then it would be almost $250. When the repair man came to my house he looked at the dryer and said he could fix it and he had the part with him, the part was only $45 and the man charged me $225 total he said he had to charge $175 in labor because the part was near the gas line, he was there about 10 min diognosing the problem and about 10min or less to fix it so in 20 min he earned $225... This place is a rip off.... When I called the store and told them that they had quoted me $170 max and now their service guy is charging me $225 they responded with well if you had went with Sears repairs you would be charged a whole lot more... Very bad customer service if you ask me... Don't every trust their quotes.. And if you don't like their prices after they diagnose the problem they still will charge you $85 just for coming out to your house! read more
