Cannot say enough good things about Ed and his crew. From the estimate process, the quoting, the explanation of how they would do the work, the professionalism, the price and the final product. Best experience we've ever had with a contractor. Honest, straight-forward, experienced, professional, responsive, kind.....Wish they were all like this! So refreshing. We priced our job with three companies and Ed was the lowest. Half the price of the highest bidder. He was willing to work with our schedule, adjust the project for our budget and his team was great. They showed up EARLY every day, they wouldn't even take coffee because they want to get to work right away, they move everything and prep all the areas meticulously and also clean everything up. The most remarkable part to us was that Ed based his bid on the number of days his crew would need to be here. They ended up working faster than planned and being ahead of schedule, so Ed just added in extra walls, extra trim and extra work that they did for FREE while here. I couldn't believe it. He's definitely a perfectionist and he just kept telling me how he didn't want one wall to detract from the new wall they did, so he would just have his crew do the other one while they were there. Never experienced anything like it! We needed one little section at the bottom of our stairway done and instead Ed patched the entire stairwell, fixed and painted the trim and did all the walls. Who does that!?! At first I was worried that there had been a miscommunication but he was perfectly aware that we had only agreed on one little section but he said it was better to just have his crew do it all while they were there. Incredible. He did this all over the house throughout the two days they were here. Another example is that we had a few patches on a ceiling that needed to be done and that's what we had Ed charge us for, but instead he just did the WHOLE ceiling AND additional adjacent wall because again he wanted it to look 'right'. Amazing. Same thing in our basement. He did two extra walls than what he charged us for because his crew was already there working and he wanted it to really shine. I've never experienced anything like it. He never charged us extra for any of this but his crew did so much work beyond what we had agreed on. He's just clearly a craftsman who cares about his work, cares about the final product and is really good at what he does. His crew was great, so efficient and skillful, Ed was onsite frequently to check in, run, errands to make sure they had what they needed, communicating and working with us if there were any areas where they had to adjust our original plans--they are just fantastic. We called Edward Enterprise to repair and paint our basement. Our basement had many years of our children playing soccer and basketball, so needless to say there was a lot of wall and ceiling damage. I will also add that I attempted to "design" my walls with venetian plaster, so that all needed to be removed as part of the repairs. Ed came over and assessed the room and gave us ideas. He sent us an estimate that evening and it was broken down so we could see what we would want to include or possibly wait for another time. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with the price he quoted us. We were very shocked when he said he could start immediately and have the job completed in such a short period of time! Honestly, we prepared ourselves for a later finishing date because of the amount of repairs we needed and although we totally trusted Ed, we thought it just couldn't be done. Ed and his crew were prompt in arriving and went immediately to work. They closed off all areas to assure we wouldn't have the mess of the sanding that lay ahead seep throughout my house. At the end of the first day I have to say my husband and I were shocked. The basement was well underway and Ed had made sure I could see the colors I picked out on my wall so I was sure I liked it. They worked a long day and other than the muted the noise from sanding, we could almost forget they were downstairs working. The final day, (yes two days and they were done!) my husband and I could not believe it was the same basement. The walls and ceiling did not have any sign of the years of abuse they had undergone and there was no sign of my failed attempt at using Venetian Plaster. The paint on the walls, trim, doors, window, etc. was absolutely beautiful and perfect! I can't say enough about how Ed and his crew prepared our house before they started and how meticulous they were in cleaning everything up. I just had family and friends over and they were shocked as well! Our basement is a place we will thoroughly enjoy. I don't think I have ever enjoyed watching paint dry so this was a first. I initially called Ed and admitted my attempt at Do-it-yourself painting became overwhelming when I knew it would be a task to paint 20 foot walls. He came to my house that very day, gave me a quote and then prepared a proposal and emailed it to me that night. I did do my diligent research and looked for additional quotes from other businesses but, hands down, not one company even wanted to come close to his quote. What makes this business even more delightful is Ed showed up on game day ready to get things started. He oversaw the worksite prep and gave me a sense of confidence and comfort that he also wanted the job done right. The painters were very nice and professional. There was a crew of three-- they took about 90 minutes to prep the wall (sanding, caulking etc), took a 30 minute break for lunch and had the job done and looking AMAZING by 3pm. I now feel like I am doing my best to preserve the beauty of their artwork from the handprints of my kids-- I literally yell a slow-motion Nooooo when I see a kiddie hand going near the wall, the paint looks that great, seriously. I called to setup a time to walk through the house, and I was pleasantly surprised when Ed came himself. As we walked the house, Ed explained exactly how he and his crew would perform the work, and there was no pressure at all expand the scope of what I wanted done. In fact, Ed pointed out a few places where I might be able to save some money! There was a good deal of work to do, and prepping the house for painting was going to be daunting, but Ed's knowledge and his assurances left me feeling my home was in good hands. All of the above is great, but what really matters are the results. I just walked through the house and I was amazed. The house actually looks better than when I bought it. The weather on the day scheduled for Ed and his crew to arrive was forecast to be cloudy with a "zero percent chance of rain." At 8:00am it was raining quite nicely. But arrive on time they did. Ed said there's work we can get started on and we'll finish whatever we can today. The short story -- complete job was finished by 4:00pm. The crew did a super job -- I could not be more pleased with the quality of their work, including the clean-up after completion. A major point in my selecting Ed (I had another proposal in hand) was the way he performed the assessment of the job. He spent nearly an hour, not just saying what he would do, but showing me why it had to be done (e.g. pieces of framing that had to be replaced), and giving me options on how to get the job done. The other contractor spent about 15 minutes and said he'd get me a proposal the next day. With both cost estimates in the same ballpark, Ed's was the logical choice. And at completion, Ed told me that some framing he expected to require replacement did not need it -- so he reduced the cost of the job. Wow. And that's why I asked for a proposal on another job that I was planning for next year. I'd like to change those five stars to six. read more

Edwards Enterprises completed my painting job beautifully...with attention to detail, careful clean-up and courteous service AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! Ed was great about communicating with me so that I was able to explain to him exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't all that sure of how to explain it. He even gave suggestions about how to fix little problems and make certain aspects of the work better.The painters arrived exactly on time and began their work immediately. They were diligent about detail and clean up. The finished product was better than I had hoped for-- banged up walls smooth and pretty, paint fresh and bright, with clean lines and no mess. My kids said it made the house look brand new! Ed had prepared me for the work to take about 12 hours, which was very reasonable given the job, but he and his crew actually finished almost three hours early! What a great surprise! Work that was both outstanding in quality and efficiently completed with grace and professionalism. To quote my husband, "it's really hard to find a good painter." But, Ed and his crew are top-notch! We first hired Ed last June 2014 to paint our main level, including lots of newly-installed woodwork: ceiling treatments and crown moulding. Given the flawless results, we hired Ed again to paint our baby's room and kids' bath. One year later on 5/26/2015, the crew arrived exactly on time and consisted of the same friendly faces. Again, we had lots of recently installed woodwork, including 42" wainscoting and crown moulding, and some necessary drywall repairs from electrical projects. Once again, the results are flawless. Being about 32 weeks pregnant on painting day, I appreciated Ed's patience as I debated the perfect gray for the walls right up until his trip to the Ben Moore store. He also worked with us to paint a custom color behind a cut-out elephant wood plaque, and helped me re-hang the plaque the following morning to ensure the results were just right. Professionalism at its best! My girlfriend did an internet search, and read the reviews of Edwards Enterprises and decided to call for an estimate after reading and reviewing others' online reviews. We were both pleasantly greeted by Ed himself, who came with a folder for us with his business card, and a copy of his business license. That was especially important due to the amount of scammers that are out there trying to take advantage of people! He was prompt,professional, and courteous. Of course, mother nature can't always be predicted, and that affects outdoor projects like painting. We were scheduled to start when mother nature decided to provide us with rain. The work they did was absolutely fantastic! The lines on the paint job (we had accents) were perfect. They were professional and so fast. The price was extremely reasonable. The whole downstairs was transformed in a day an a half. Ed helped me make important decisions about what paint might work and what might not. Plus, there were great bonuses like painting electrical boxes and air conditioner vents to match the walls. His team patched, sanded, and painted part of a messed up ceiling that was left over by another contractor and did a fabulous job. We put in expensive, soft wood floors before painting and were really worried that the floor would be damaged. There wasn't a single ding and I have NO idea how they painted the baseboards so perfectly without a singe spot on the floor. I love this company and can't wait to use them to paint more in my home. Almost a month ago, Ed and his team painted my master bedroom, closet and bathroom. Although it appears rare, Ed actually delivered exactly what he promised. Even before he began the work, I had a clear understanding of the work to be performed because it was spelled out in his contract. During the appraisal process Ed explained everything before I could ask to include type of paint, how many coats, and what work was covered. The quote included everything that was discussed in detail. They painted all the exterior wood work, as well as the windows on our house. They also painted 3 rooms and a hallway and stripped massive amounts of stubborn wallpaper.
