Well first off, it's not up on top of the mountain. It's literally in a valley that looks out. Everything was great the minister was polite but not reading from the bible. He reads off a scripted piece of paper. Photographer was great. I know he took some nice photos. Unfortunately I won't be getting those photos. They don't tell you how much photos are. Well they are 1699 plus tax. We only got maybe 20 photos taken from a ten minute ceremony. So they expect you to pay 100$ for a photo. Um yeah, no!!! Luckily we took our own photos elsewhere which turned out better than theirs. There was no coordinator on site. You pull up their steep drive way ( so I hope your vehicle makes it up ) to a cramp parking. I will be reporting them to BBB. The way they are pricing there photos is ridiculous and way over board. That's a down payment on a car,or even a mortgage payment. At least. Don't waste your time here. And to others who has had the same issues I suggest reporting them to BBB. ( +1 703-276-0100 ) and shut them down. Since they want to be unjustified with their costumers. Costumers can take a stand against them.... I wish there was a zero star.

We have vacationed at Douglas Lake for almost 20 years, from western PA, so it was not a surprise…read morewhen my daughter informed us, she'd like her senior pictures taken there. We contacted Ben at Smokey Mountain. His demeanor won us over and we took a chance and booked a session. The chance paid off! We explained our tight schedule and desires to Ben and our location on the lake. Ben visited the marina our boat would be docked at different times of the day to scout the conditions and got back to us with the best time to meet for pics. We met at 7:30 am and it was obvious the advance work Ben had put in and it helped with the setup. He also listened to what my daughter wanted and incorporated those wishes into the session. They took pics on our boat, the dock, the marina and other spots. Through multiple locations, outfit changes and poses, Ben was a dream to work with for my daughter and us. His commitment to my daughter's pics was appreciated. We received the pictures within the timeframe Ben told us and the results were better than the session! She held a conversation with us the whole time so there was no awkward silence. She knew exactly what areas to use and what positions to put us in. She captured us in one of our favorite spots in Tennessee, Cade's Cove! She told us the pictures would be ready within 2 weeks, but we got them within 3 days! We had props we wanted to use that she made sure she got in the pictures and she made sure we got all of the poses we had in mind. We are already talking about booking her next year when we hope our whole family will be able to join us in our favorite vacation spot!

Thought having 2 photographers was a positive, but it ended up that they never told people which of them was taking the photos, so you ahve a group of people looking in 2 different directions for the photo. Told them ahead of time (and showed examples) of the types of shot that we wanted and got perhaps 2 out of 10. Halfway into the reception, my new son-in-law asked me if I would just ask them to leave because they were bickering and bothering people to "pose" for photos and folks were getting annoyed. We would've been better off just handing disposable cameras to guests to take photos. Bad, bad experience.

There are 22 in our family so it was a challenge to get one of all 22 of us that looked good but they did it! In fact, we picked out 48 pictures! We had so much fun taking the pictures that a tourist stopped by to tell us he noticed how much fun we were having. They took lots and lots of pictures including some that were candids of us all having a good time. We were done in less than an hour and the color/pixels of the pictures came out so clear.
