    I needed a tank refill. According to the tank meter, the tank was 30% full. According to the…read moreSouthern Propane website, my tank was at 9%, and in order to get a refill, I had to schedule a "safety inspection." I called each day, every day for a week, was on hold every time for at least 20 minutes, and finally on the last day (because I could stay on hold), someone finally picked up. Their response to my need to get a refill? "You have to press #2. You pressed #1." No actually, I pushed #2, but as it was obvious the customer service rep had no interest in helping me, I hung up, called back, went through the exact same voicemail hell, and when someone finally picked up after 30+ minutes, he was very helpful, but overall all customer service, wait times, etc. are horrendous.

I had a terrible time scheduling the initial installation of the propane tank (the installers were fine, it is the office staff that's the problem). They didn't place me on a refill schedule as requested and we literally ran out of propane. Got that resolved and now, after approximately 3 years of service I receive a random bill for not meeting their "minimum usage. Called to inquire about this and, again, staff are unresponsive, stating that they would email the Monroe office and have them give me a call. That was November 15, still no word from anyone. Going to try one last time today. Otherwise, cancelling my contract and filing complaint with company and the appropriate govt agency.
