Some of the staff are nice. Overall this place went downhill. I don't need to state the obvious.

This hospital is the worst hospital my father was there since Tuesday 7/7/26 and told he has blood in his lungs he came in not being able to breath properly and chest pain and they still made him wait in the waiting room can you imagine!! An elderly man complaining about breathing and chest pain and was told to go outside and wait then my daughter who is a vascular ultrasound tech went and asks if certain testing was done on him since she does testing on patients with symptoms like my dad and they said they don't do that tests on inpatients anyway I can go and on but it's too much to write they discharged him without the proper testing he was being seen by medical students who care more about how they look in scrubs and their title than they do their patients and let's not start with them also telling my daughter that he's being discharged basically he's overstayed due to his insurance are you kidding me so you send my dad home because of insurance gtfoh!!! This hospital sucks!! Do not go to this hospital!! There are no real doctors just young medical students who don't give a crap about the patients! They're just there for the paycheck!!! Ans title!! Go to Seaview!! Much better or Jacobi!!!!

My experience in Manhattan facilities as far as appointment wait times were on time but at Regional Radiology the wait times before and after imaging for checking are long. The main reason I use the SI facilities is because it is convenience for travel and in Staten Island. Also Dr.'s in Staten Island Regional Radiology in my experience, mammography, breast ultrasound, are not physically present at the facility at the time of the appointment because they read the images from home via medical approved internet. I had asked to speak with the manager and asked why I was not able to speak to or seen by the radiologist since at the at the nyc city facilities I was, to go over any questions and to look physically at me for any lumps etc of concern. At Regional Radiology, my opinion and experience only, the technologist contacts the radiologist physician and describes concerns etc. to the radiologist reading the images, and one time I was connected to the radiologist on the computer and on the phone. Not the same as an in person exam. I was told by the staff manager that in the future, before making an appointment, to ask if and when there will be a radiologist on sight for the day of your appointment, as mentioned most are working from home. Regional Radiology facilities throughout SI have been affiliated with NYU for some time now, and acceptable by some of my NYU Manhattan doctors depending on imaging needed, some physicians in Manhattan prefer NYU Langone, Perlmutter Radiology, or imaging facility at the Orthopedic center on E38 th Street. My Manhattan Dr.'s, some will accept REGIONAL RADIOLOGY, so I opine only in my experience and health situation. The physicians I use will also let me know which facility they would prefer. Please know this has been my experience only and Regional Radiology in my opinion has improved since they have been affiliated with NYU, but again, in my opinion they still need to be more on board in their practices with the facilities in Manhattan.

I was not given anything to manage my pain but Tylenol, Motrin and Lyrica. As I was to discover, my surgeon, Dr. Harris, does not prescribe narcotics for patients. While in the hospital, I was given morphine only once, fourteen hours after my surgery. I had to beg, yell and curse and finally, they said they would give me some morphine. That was the only time I would get it. Twenty four hours after the surgery, out of my mind with pain, I asked the doctor for the twentieth time for some relief. I was given a 5 milligram oxycodone pill. This hospital does not want to give patients any narcotics after major surgery! Before I went in to the hospital, they asked about my prescription medications. I gave them a list of all of them. The 2 days I was in the hospital, I did not receive any of them. I don't know why they even asked. I kept asking for my blood pressure pill and other meds, and never got any answers. This hospital is very disorganized. The doctors promise they will help you with your pain, then all you get is IV Tylenol. You don't get your prescription medications even though you may need to take them daily. The only good thing about my experience there was the nurses. They are very professional and caring. I don't know how they don't get tired of the patients calling constantly. They are trying to deal with pain that the doctors won't help them with. I realize now, I made a big mistake. I usually go to NYU doctors and NYU hospital in Manhattan. I am so sorry now that I didn't go there. They know how to take care of their patients.

She misdiagnosed a chest and nasal infection and was adamant about NOT prescribing antibiotics, cough meds or nasal spray. She also said she would not give a doctors note for work without taking the COVID test. And said that's not how medicine works. This is the worst experience I even had in any Northwell Facility. The receptionist was rude and would not manually enter in the ins information when asked because I was sick. Then charged me 2xs for the service and told me to "come forward" so she could reverse the double charge. Day 2: my sister who received the antibiotics from a different PA in the same facility on the same day is feeling 100 times better. Being a good dr doesn't mean being straight from text book, every body: patient is different, next time u need to listen a bit more to ur patient, I am damn near 40 years old and know MY body, I wasn't asking for Codeine I was simple asking for antibiotics because I knew that's what I needed, I have a job too to attend to as a medical professional. And working and having great ins means you can get a second option and get the prescriptions and doctors care you need. Lesson learned for me as well. I will not go to this urgent care and if this PA ever turns doctor I would never go or recommend her to anyone. A PA lesson hopefully learned.
