I had no idea we would be walking through actual slabs. Seemed super dangerous. Find out later, after visiting another place (without children), that most places make you sign a waiver. Not Y&Q they had no regard for our safety. I chalked that up to a bad experience and decided to give them a second chance. They were recommended by a friend. I call to see if we could actually set up an appointment. The lady who answered was super hard to understand and not helpful at all. She was super dismissive. They may be cheap, but they sure are not easy to work with.

Our experience with Armina Stone was awful. After choosing a beautiful Quartzite slab, it went…read moredownhill fast. We had 3 installs, and ended up with removal and a refund. First install; the countertop was damaged, and the seam looked like two different stones. They agreed and said they would do a replacement. Second install; it did not match the rendering we approved at all. The veining at the seam was approximately 2" off. They agreed and said they'd do a replacement. At this point the slabs we chose were used up and had to make an appointment to choose from other slabs. Third install; 1/4 of the stone was not leathered! 3/4 of the countertops were leathered, and 1/4 shiny! Between these admitted mistakes, there's more! We ordered a shelf to be made for above the cooktop. Only one side was finished, the back was cut crooked, and I had to drive it to Cheswick to be completed. We had chose a different stone for our island. It was supposed to be installed at the first appointment. They did not have it. No one could tell me where it was or what happened to it for 3 days. (it had been scratched and needed to be resurfaced) In total, we had 7 appointments. Measuring to removal. 2 of the 7 were with in the 4 hour time window they provide. 5 times we scrambled and rearranged. 3 botched fabrications, 5 unhonored appointment windows, and numerous "what is going on" emails later, we asked for a removal and refund, which was honored with an "ok". No apology. From date of first install to removal it was close to 60 days. We had no sink, dishwasher, or cooktop. This held up, plumber, tile and paint. I will say the team of installers, project manager and the showroom are very nice. I was very patient and understanding of the issues and mistakes. However, they do not reciprocate that mindset. Read the reviews! (even the ones on BBB) I wish I had.

We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.

The selection process evolved over several weeks' time with several meetings at the store and at my home to review carpet samples, discuss the ideal mix of carpet and carpet pad for an environment with many cats. Megan was extremely helpful in explaining the characteristics of the various carpets we were considering. Also, color and carpet type can be confusing and Megan patiently explained the differences in the various carpets considered and advised as to the hue of the carpets, appropriateness of the chosen carpet colors in relationship to existing flooring in the kitchen and dining room. I had the carpeting installed in 2 "phases" : upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs part was my living room, hall and closets. The installers arrived very early on the scheduled day. I had to rush to finish my last minute prep tasks. The two folks doing the install worked tirelessly tearing up the old carpet, moving my furniture out of the living room, carrying the carpeting into the house and laying the carpet. These guys worked really hard and the quality of the installation showed. They also did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards, vacuuming the new carpeting and disposing of the old carpeting. Again, the two installers really worked hard installing the carpeting and they did an excellent job. I will definitely use Molyneaux for my future carpeting needs for the two bedrooms that are destined for new carpeting in the future.

She actually even had a sample of the floor we chose and a white cabinet that we were able to put up against the slabs to make sure it all worked together. The gentleman that came to do our template was so friendly and detail oriented. He took his time to make sure everything was perfect and answer any of our questions. We were able to go back to Choice Granite and select what sections of the slab would be used and where. You could tell the pride they took in their work and were so dedicated to getting it just right. The install day came and the install team was fantastic. They were efficient, professional and very friendly. Everything went smoothly. The finished product is awesome! You can tell just how much time they put into make sure everything was perfect. The backsplash lines up perfectly with the design on the actual counter etc. They were a true pleasure to work with and I'm so thankful that our contractor took us there!

The template guy was thorough and accurate. Fabrication was completed on the day they promised and the install team was punctual. They took care not to damage any of the rest of the house during the install process. Worth noting that due to an error on my part, they had to make a second trip to install a part of the countertop. Pricing was reasonable given the scope of work we requested, which included substantial hand-prep for the hearths (curved to fit the fireplace). The install techs are pretty quiet, but I'm paying them to install countertops, not to talk my ear off. They were certainly professional and the install was perfect (incl a seam that was flawless). I can't speak to the old reviews here, but I had numerous interactions with the office staff, the install manager, and the team- everyone was professional and courteous. They delivered exactly what they said they would, and the price I was quoted.
