We just had our 2nd no show by Ehrlich this year. It's bad enough that they schedule your appt. time as "morning", but when you wait around all Saturday morning and no one shows? Twice? No communication from anyone either time. Do not recommend and we are looking around for another company. Oh, and I didn't even mention the time when they used to contact us via email to schedule. I had replied to them asking about a specific day and time due to schedule conflicts. Well, I received a reply back that I wasn't supposed to see. Recently a family member had an issue with roaches. I reached out to this company and we booked services with them. I was told they'd come out 2 times 2 weeks apart. I was told they would spray, apply some ointment around the problem areas, & do a roach bomb. They applied the ointment and were not going to spray until I informed the guy what I was told by their rep. I had a difficult time scheduling that second appointment, they had limited dates as they had weeks blocked off and they'd promise they'd call back but never did. One guy ended up showing up on a random day that was not scheduled or confirmed by us. Then, when I finally scheduled that apt, the guy was a no-show. I have been calling them since beginning of August to request a partial refund (total was over $400) and I keep getting the same old "we'll have to call you back" story. I called Ehrlich on 7/24/2020 with a complaint of bats in my house. I asked the woman on the answering service if it would be possible to have a tech come out the next day. She said absolutely, she could have someone come service my house between 8am to 12pm. Cool, perfect!!! Bats are definitely something I don't want in my house! So the next day comes around... 8am goes by, 9am... 10am...11am...12pm... and now I have to leave. My husband is okay staying at home and attempts to call the company 20 times, with a busy signal each time. Finally at 1pm I give the company a call. The man I spoke with tells me "I can't give you any information right now, but give me a number to call you back and I'll let you know what's going on". Alright... seems strange but alright. So two hours go by before my husband receives a call with "Sorry. We're not coming. Just open a window." JUST OPEN A WINDOW??? REALLY??? THIS IS THE RESPONSE WE GET FROM A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY? Not to mention, my husband waited at home for seven hours to be told that no one is coming. Completely unprofessional, completely unreliable. Scheduled a termite inspection with them for a VA refinance. The inspection was done on the morning of July 15th by Jay Silver. After taking my credit card information for the $200 payment, he told me that I would have the report and invoice by Monday, July 18th. If I didn't, to contact him and he would find out where it was. On Tuesday, July 19th, I texted Jay, letting him know that I had not yet been charged or received the report. He told me he would get back to me. At 4:30 pm, I texted him again asking for an update. He texted back that he would update me by the next morning at the latest. That was the last time he responded to any text messages and would never accept a phone call afterward. Wednesday afternoon, I called the 800 number and explained the situation. The person that answered the phone said they would send emails to the local office and ask them to contact me. By Friday, I still had not received my report, a text, or an email. I once again contacted the 800 number. She connected me to Jay's manager, Paul, but said he was probably in a meeting so I should leave him a message. I did just as she asked but by 3 pm still had not received any callback. I called the 800 number a third time. This time the person that put me on hold while they tried the local office, Jay, and Jay's manager. She could get no one to answer the phone either. She apologized profusely and advised me she was sending the local office an email as well as the managers and the district manager. I told her that they had to the end of the day to send me the report and my invoice. If I didn't receive either by 5 pm, I did not want any charges from Ehrlich going on my credit card and I would call someone else to perform the inspection. Needless to say, Terminex will be coming to do the inspection today. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We were with the company when it was APM and it was wonderful. Once Erlich bought it we immediately had issues... company not calling back, uninformed associates, product they use not working. It was bad, so we canceled our contract. We had been without them for 2+ years, but went back with them about 2 months ago to see if they worked out the kinks... nope, and worse this time. I've had a skunk in my backyard trapped in my son's baseball net since yesterday. I called 3 times trying to get someone out to me. The first 2 times, the agents looked up my contract and said it was covered. 1st agent-She said as it was Sunday, they might not be able to get out, but definitely Monday. Ok. 2nd agent-Monday morning I called and the guy I spoke with said somone would be in contact asap to come out and remove it, especially as i called yesterday I should be top of the list. It is now 3pm Monday and II haven't heard anything so I called again. 4rd agent-Now this 3rd woman says skunks are not covered and that's why noone has called you back... what?!?!?!?!?!?!? Contacted Ehrlich to address my external ant issue. Was told by the person who took my call that the cost he quoted me would be to address my issue, do an internal and external inspection and treat the outside perimeter of my house. The tech addressed my ant issue, but did none of the other service. Ehrlich had quickly debited my account but have experienced the proverbial run around: First person told me that Ehrlich couldn't tell me when they would submit a credit to my account What? Second person told me to contact my bank about the status. What? Third person told me she didn't know when it would be sent to the bank, it was sent to the District Office for review. I asked for the phone number of the District office, she told me there wasn't one because the district office had close, not for just the day but permanently. What? The fourth person told me she couldn't help me and passed me onto her Supervisor. Essentially she told me it was under review by the District Manager, James Semetti. I asked for his phone number which she indicated wasn't their policy to give out. Talk about incompetence. Folks there are a lot of exterminators out, I would recommend you avoid Ehrlich. read more

Been sitting home all afternoon because we scheduled and appointment for removal of birds in my vents outside. I was told that it had to be inspected first before work could be done and they scheduled and appointment for between 4pm and 6pm to which no one has shown up nor called to say that they were in route or needed to cancel. At this point I'm already in a contract with them for exterminator services but I'm ready to find someone else because I'm no longer confident that they will do their job if the don't even honor their appointment times and schedules. read more

We have been using Ehrlich Pest Control for almost 20 years. We loved the service and enjoyed their technicians, David and Paul in particular. Something has happened to this company. The techs used to make the appointments with us. Now we sometimes get an e-mail usually when we aren't going to be home or they just show up. Our trusted techs are no longer assigned to us and now we get random bills with no explanation. The people manning the phones either have no clue and apologize blaming corporate or just click their tongues and say "whatever". Sorry, but goodbye Ehrlich. read more

Beware!!!! They make you put a credit/debit card on file to schedule on appointment. I cancelled my appointment prior to any services. NO services were provided. However, 2 payments were taken from my debit card and they refuse to refund all of my money. They refunded only one payment and are denying that the 2nd payment occurred, even after I provided proof to them from my bank. read more

I completed a loan back in May of 21 to have work completed in the amount of 5400. The loan expired on Nov.16,2021 due to it not being completed. The work was finally completed in Jan. 2022. I received a statement for 5757.75. When I text them and called them, I was told it was for the TAX. I would believe that the TAX would of been added in the original loan not after the expiration of the loan and the completed work. I now either have to pay Ehrlich in full which I believe that was their intention from the beginning ( the reason for the long delay for completed work) or reapply for a new loan. I even called the loan company and they said that if there was tax, it would of been in the original loan not after. I originally left a review giving them a good review because I knew it was difficult to get supplies but after this change in the amount of the bill, I'm changing my mind. read more

Could not see results on their pest treatment and after cancelling the services they kept charging the credit card for now over 6 months (they did stop coming to treat the house, but the monthly dues kept being collected)!!! My Parents have had a contract with Ehrlich Pest Control for over 5 yrs. My sister referred this company to my parents upon them moving to the area. Mark Fowler has been our technician for the entire time for both my parent's & sister's home. I have now moved into the home with my mom as my father has recently passed away. Mark Fowler, Ehrlich Pest Control technician has been wonderful in handling our pest needs. He is very knowledgeable on all types of insects and truly shows concern for his customers. Mark is always respectful & prompt regarding his services. He is excellent regarding urgent calls with immediate response time. They did the termite inspection under warranty , no signs of termites but said trees were touching house and recommended that trees be trimmed. Termite severity high. No trees are touching the house on all sides. The trees bordering property are neighbor's which were trimmed by us last year . Requested a call re report several times. No one called. Extremely bad service. Had their 365 Pest Free service, where I paid monthly for quarterly extermination. When I saw another bug before the quarterly service, I made 2 different appointments for evaluation. Both were no call and no show. Called customer service several times who assured me that urgent emails were sent to managers. One called me back and promised he would make a treatment happen when he got back into the office. Still have not heard from him again a month after that phone call. I finally canceled my contract with them. Do NOT use this company. read more

I contacted Ehlrich Pest Control to remove a squirrel that creating a hole and a home in my soffit. I reached out to the company and they were able to come out and assess the problem and take pictures. They NEVER reached out with a quote or estimate. I gave a follow up call just in case they sent the estimate to the wrong email address. The customer service representative assured me that someone would contact me. But actually, I never heard from them again so I contacted another company. The company to use is 1st and Goal Pest Control. A COMPANY YOU CAN COUNT ON. Don't waste your time with Ehlrich. read more

This company is probably the worst I've ever dealt with. 310 dollars for someone to come and guess where to put down 3 $1.99 rat traps with generic peanut butter, for $314 you could of at least used Skippy or Jif. I guess they didn't expect me to actually get up in the attic to see what the tech was going to do. After seeing what the tech did, I believe that this company preys on vulnerable people, people who trust blindly. They have no technology, no skill, no more knowledge than anyone can find online if they are willing to seek out the information. I only used the service because I have less and less time due to higher work demand personally. If I could give them 0 stars I would, don't fall for this companies lack of experience, horrible business practices, overcharging, and outright scamming. The lesson in all of this is do your research when considering hiring an "expert". No invoice, no explanation of services rendered, no follow up calls to discuss dissatisfaction, just a charge and an oh well. I think we've used Ehrlich now for the past 14 years and could not be happier. But it's not just Ehrlich, as with any service industry that provides you what you are looking for, it is the representative that comes to your home that has shone the light on your company. Seeing JR is liking seeing a family member that you know and trust. My wife and I love the response and the professionalism we receive from JR as he always takes care of us. As my wife always says, "JR gives us a piece of mind and always takes care of our needs." His constant paying attention to detail and our needs is what sets him apart and we couldn't imagine having anyone else take care of our home. I hope you never lose him as an employee!!!!!! If there was a zero star I would use it. they have no customer service as in 45 min to 1 hour to get someone on the phone to schedule an appointment. after waiting they had no appointments for over a month available in my area. keep in mind I am a 365 service customer and I am billed every mouth on the 15th for this service. as well as the mosquito flee and tick service that they never scheduled or came for, and also by the way as part of the 365 service they should automatically come to reset and bate the traps every quarter which they never scheduled or showed up for. I would not let my worst enemy use this company. just the 10 or so phone calls to try to get some one out for a few ants in a bath room ( which by the way the never full fixed and my new company fix in 1 visit.) in closing this service does not work and you may never know because they will never show up and or have any available appointments to schedule a service. read more

The billing department at Ehrlich Pest Control is horrible. I've used their service for years with my rental properties, and the service is good, but it is a total headache trying to communicate with this billing department. If there is some issue with payment (and it takes them forever to cash payment checks after they have received them), you can be assured that you will get a constant and unlimited number of phone calls and emails to the point of harassment. It does not matter that you call them and get the situation worked out, the phone calls and emails will continue to flood in. I've even spoken with supervisors, it doesn't help. It has created a stressful situation for me. And why? I have always paid the invoices. They should have no complaint with me. read more

if you like to NOT get services and still pay for monthly fees, i would totally sign up with this company. just a horrible company overall! i had a bee issue. apparently these bees are extinct . they couldn't exterminate them. which is fine. i was referred to a beekeeper. the gentleman from ehrlich left. hence the service i NEVER got . then, the following month i see a service fee for $51? ive called numerous times to get this cancelled and have been assured it's been done. in fact, i called AGAIN last month and then gentleman on the line says "yes. we can credit your for last month since you haven't been using the service". instead, i was CHARGED two days later. I pay $50 each month for pest control. Last time I used them was last year. I called about Wasps and ants. Someone came out and sprayed and found two dead mice inside last 7 days ago. I've been still seeing the wasps and at 9 this morning I called after seeing a large fat striped bee inside my house by my window frame. I was told I'd get a call back within the hour. At noon I called again and was told I'd get a call back today. It's now 7 pm and I just got off the phone with the answering service. She'll pass on the message. Clearly there is no customer service returning calls. I closed all my interior doors and now feel very uneasy since I don't know where this bee is. This business is good at taking money each month but seems not good at providing service when needed. Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I truly hope no one gets stung since who knows when someone will show up. I'm taking myself off of auto-pay to them. I'll be as prompt in paying my bill as they are in returning calls. read more

Hoo boy, here's a company to avoid! I called Ehrlich to eliminate an insect problem. The tech-salesman was very polite and very knowledgeable of the insect. Without offering to look at my house --- he didn't care if it was 1600 sq. ft or 16,000 sq. ft. --- he named a price and asked for my credit card number. Never having used a pest control company before, I foolishly gave him my credit card number. A day or so later, a year-long contract for Ehrlich services shows up in my email! I in no way asked for it nor did he say that I had signed up for anything except the one insect control. I was so angry I practically punched holes in my phone dialing Ehrlich. I cancelled the appointment completely and told their phone person that I did not sign up for any contract. I left a voice mail for the tech and he called me back, apologizing that the contract was a mistake. REALLY?! The contract, in a PDF file, had my name and all my personal information on it. It just "happened" that all that info got on there and then someone "mistakenly", deliberately emailed it? I guess Ehrlich loves to use this trick on new customers, and I bet they especially prey on seniors, who they hope won't notice the charge and just pay the bill. Stay away from Ehrlich and their parent company, the appropriately creepily named Rentokil. Find somebody else or get the ladder, the gas mask and the can of Raid and do it yourself. read more

We've been using Ehrlich for about 5 years now on their year round care. We have terrible problems with ants (you can't imagine) and have had the occasional other pest like bees and mice. They are always quick in urgent need and our regular service technician Paul is the best. Definitely the way to go for your pest control needs! read more

Very Disappointed with my experience today. I called for ants at my seasonal property. They missed my appointment window by 1.5 hours with no phone call or status update and now I am suffering from a nasty headache from the chemicals used. I know you must use ant baits inside but for general pest control I am used to only getting the outside of the house treated, which has been quite effective. I have not had my primary residence treated with inside chemicals in years. I am hoping my dogs do not get any on their paws or toys. Also hoping the smell dissipates soon. read more

Dealing with this company was a nightmare. My husband and I had birds in our bathroom exhaust pipe that had gotten in from the outside. We called Ehrlich who came out around TWO WEEKS later to put cages on the outside of the house to block the birds entrance, and to remove the existing birds. We thought it was taken care of. Three days late we smelled a horrible smell throughout our home. It turns out the technician who came out lied about bothering to remove the birds. We had a family of dead birds in our exhaust pipe and the entire house STUNK. We had to be inconvenienced while we waited for someone to come out to take care of the problem that should never have happened in the first place. My husband had to loose a day at work to let the techs in the house and they made a mess and left it to us to clean in up. We also had to supply our own planks for them to walk along our crawl space. They did not bother to come prepared. All we got out of it was a small percentage off the original bill. Will not work with Ehrlich again. read more
