I've been coming here since I was so young. I've seen so many different staff members. The new staff is super young but respectful. I wish they'd put some more pep in their step. Super slow. I sat down and it took awhile for someone to come over and acknowledge my order. Once I ordered it took 45 mins for my food to arrive. I spent over hour and half here. Not what I wanted to do on my Friday night. The place wasn't even busy. Normally, people around here like to eat late. So avoid late night if you don't like large crowds. Also, menus are hard to read because they write it in three different languages for the tourists.
I ordered the Hawaii chicken menu which is letter K, which comes with fries. From what I've seen the bun comes from across the street. I'm assuming they partner with the local bakery to ensure fresh bread. However, the bread overpowers the sandwich. If they want to go big on bread you better give me something to fill it with. The meat part of the sandwich is lacking. It tastes like a frozen pressed chicken burger. You know like those patties you get for the lonely vegetarian you invite to a BBQ that doesn't eat meat.
I don't like the fact the staff doesn't check in on you, unless you call them over to reorder a drink. Since I was waiting so long and emptied my glass, once my food came I quickly asked for another drink because I knew she wasn't coming around again.
I know in the US we created such a bad habit and tipping is almost going to happen. In Europe, its appreciated and accepted but not always expected. My point, if you know you're main business is tourism in the summer, maybe you'll get better tips. I still tipped, only 10% could have been 20%, her loss.
Pros: Fries are crispy, staff respectful, good location
Cons: not enough meat, slow service, no follow up read more
