My partner and I lived here for a little over a year but I would have happily stayed longer. I'll start with the cons, because there aren't many! * The walls are a little thin, so you may be able to hear people in the hallways or next door. You'll be hard pressed to find an apartment in LA that doesn't have some noise leakage though, that's just part of city living. Overall, the noise very rarely bothered us EXCEPT..... We lived next to 3 young women and had issues after asking them to keep their noise level down late at night a couple times. I'm talking like 2AM on a weekday. Unfortunately they didn't take kindly to this and got very hostile - from slamming the door in our face, cursing at us through the walls, turning up the noise, and banging on our door randomly throughout the next few weeks in some form of bizarre ding-dong-ditch harassment. They eventually moved out though, and the other residents I've interacted with have all been friendly and polite. I'm only docking a star on an otherwise 5-star living experience here due to the neighbor situation, but no matter where you live, you're rolling the dice on the people around you, so it's not _really_ any fault of the complex. * We lived in a north facing unit which got very little natural light due to the building next door. We often had to keep our lights on all day. (This might not be an issue for some people.) Now to the pros: * The property manager, Frank, lives in the complex so he understands what life is like for residents here! He's constantly improving the place and has been very responsive. In the last year, he's upgraded the bathrooms to use water saving faucets/showerheads, updated the intercom system, done roof and electrical maintenance, and probably more that I'm forgetting! It's great that the building and units are well taken care of. I also appreciated that Frank took issues seriously - such as the aforementioned neighbors. He did his best to remedy the situation and even suggested pursuing legal action when their harassment began escalating. It's heartening to see a property manager who cares about the well-being of the residents. He could have easily brushed us off or refused to get involved. * There's an Amazon locker, which is my favorite amenity. It's so convenient and gives me peace of mind whenever packages are delivered. * The complex is conveniently situated near Whole Foods and plenty of restaurants. I will miss being able to just walk down the block to get groceries and lunch! The area is very safe and clean. * The gym is good for the size of the complex. There are weights and several machines. Perhaps it's because of covid but I've never encountered anyone else at the gym when I've gone. There's also a pool but I've never used it. * Parking is gated. Laundry is in the garage and I've never had an issue with machines being taken. There's also an app you can use to pay which saves you from having to keep tons of quarters lying around! Overall, this is a really great place to live. It's telling that there's no reviews at all on the page yet - people often only write reviews about apartments when they have a bad experience or when management pressures people to leave good reviews. (So, you know mine is genuine haha!) I will definitely miss living here! Another big thank you to Frank for making our experience here great and for all he's done.

When our toilet needed plumbing JC and Carole took care of it no cost to us. When our drain needed to be declogged they took care of it and had a plumber in immediately . When we saw a bug ( roach) in the apt they had it fumigated and exterminator to come within hours of my calling-again at no cost to us. JC has been particularly helpful whenever I need him. The reality of renting in Westwood is that you'll be charged high rent for unworthy "luxury"…read moreapartments, and 430 Kelton is an amazing example of this. I lived there for two years and am so happy to be done with this place. Management is terrible. I had FIVE different "landlords." When a new "landlord" comes, they know nothing that the old one knew. So, maintenance on common areas is very slow, and the management is chaotic every time there is a change. I used to personally give the "landlord" paper checks each month to pay rent. They lost the check twice, and tried to blame me for not paying on time. When I moved out, I was charged for things that were not agreed on in my inspection. They dropped this after I fought it. But, this incident (along with "losing" my rent payments) is sketchy. Regardless of when your lease starts, you have to decide whether you will renew by February. When you move in, nitpick the place and START DECIDING EARLY whether you want to renew. Also, the only option for lease length is 12 months, which sucks. They probably pressure you to renew early in your lease on purpose, hoping that you haven't lived there long enough for the disappointments to truly set in so that you will renew. Once you sign that contract, you are trapped paying the rent until the lease ends or finding a sub-letter. Kitchen appliances are good. Bathrooms look nice on the surface, but have issues you won't notice at first. Your two options for lighting are a heat lamp, or an overhead light with a loud fan that doesn't work. Every time you shower, expect the entire bathroom to be soaking wet with condensation, toilet paper, and mirrors included. This is not normal. I had endless issues with my toilet. It kept running water after flushing, and the flush handle broke off three times because it was made from cheap plastic. The toilet also flooded two times. Maintenance did their best to help, but I had issues until I moved because the parts they used to fix the toilet were cheap. The shower head is so low that my head touched it. The tub faucet and knob are made of cheap plastic that can detach from the wall. One bathroom had silverfish and spiders, the other had termites. The landlord refused to send an exterminator until we brought the carcasses to her office and told her firmly to get it fixed. The apartment also became infested with cockroaches during my second year, and it took months to get an exterminator. My bedroom window looked out to the hallway where people walked to get to their units, which is terrible from a safety and privacy standpoint. There's only one elevator that is too small, too slow, and breaks constantly. Need to move furniture? Have fun taking the stairs! There are 40 units in the complex, but only three washers and three dryers total, which is not sufficient. There was once a three-month stint where only ONE WASHER AND DRYER was operational for the entire complex. Unacceptable. Maintenance is the one thing they got right. When you submit a request, they will come in an efficient manner and do their best to help you. The maintenance workers are also very nice. My only complaint is that some things (e.g. toilet) kept breaking. The building has an "atrium" design, and all hallways are outdoor ledges, so anyone could keep a list of who lives where if they wanted to. During the day, the front entrance is propped wide open. Anyone can enter. At night, no management is present. Residents are too lax and will let anyone in the building from the lobby. No one monitors who enters or leaves the building, which is unsafe. The doors to units are flimsy and can be easily broken into. Units also have bedroom windows in the communal hallways, which could be broken into. In Westwood, break-ins are not uncommon. These factors led me to feel unsafe living there. Lastly, packages are thrown lazily on the floor of the lobby and I had many packages stolen. There is no reason why a luxury apartment shouldn't have a secure mail room system. Come on, 430 Kelton. At least advertise the place for what it is. Do not call yourself a luxury apartment until you start doing more than the bare minimum. Fix the laundry, elevator, and package situation. Start investing in quality parts so that repairs to the building actually last. You are a luxury apartment in Los Angeles charging $5k plus per month for a 2B2B. You can do better.

"CAROLINA" was not honest to me and not share her full knowledge before I paid for application fee AND DEPOSITE MONEY BEFORE I MOVE IN TO THE PLACE. I explained to her about my income and clearly they saw back and forward, my statements and even mentioned I have a co-signer with good history for the past 6 years and she made me to do all that and without any phone call 30 minutes after she sent a bunch of email for rentals verifications, her manager "DIANA" very rudely sent an email about rejection because of my co-signers credit and on phone call she brought another excuses, my co-signer used to be a co-signer for another 2 people with the letter of explanation we have a proof everything was on time but it's only report. Also, pay stubs are more than x3 and even x5 for source of income. As today on 26th of Feb, not these people wasted $118 only for a small commission for themselves and money from me. Also not sending my $400 deposit check back. I am trying to keep emailing and calling and leaving voicemails for DIANA and CAROLINA but non of them communicating with me. This check supposed to send out last 2 weeks and after a week Diana called me and apologized they just sent out after 10 days and because I am in LA, I would get it in 3-4 business days and now we are a week more (3rd week) I do NOT HAVE MY CHECK AND ANY RESPOND from these people. If you are self-employed even high income, stay away from this unprofessional team who would judge you because you are just smart and making money from your business.

WARNING: DO NOT LIVE HERE. Terrible management, and mold infested units…read more Living at this property for the past 11 months has such a nightmare. From early on, management failed to be honest about how disruptive and long-term the construction would be, making it nearly impossible to work from home and costing me income and peace of mind. Our balcony was destroyed about a month into our lease, yet we were still charged full rent for something we could no longer use--and it's still not properly restored. Over time, our apartment developed serious mold problems. We found visible mold in bedrooms, closets, on our personal belongings, and even inside an air purifier. Many of our possessions were ruined, and I had to throw away thousands of dollars' worth of personal items. It's been heartbreaking to lose things you've worked hard for, especially when it feels completely preventable. We also raised concerns about potential asbestos exposure during construction, but management never gave clear answers or reassurance. Instead of taking responsibility, they brushed off our health concerns and avoided providing real information. When I asked for proper mold testing and accountability, the property manager (Tina) hung up on me and stopped responding to emails. Trying to get basic answers about our health, safety, and living conditions became exhausting and emotionally overwhelming. Eventually, management agreed to let us end our lease early--but only if we signed an agreement promising not to sue them or talk about what we went through. After months of stress, fear about our health, financial losses, and feeling ignored, that offer felt more like a way to silence us than to make things right. This experience has been awful and the lack of transparency, accountability, and basic respect had made things immensely worse. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone, especially people with health concerns, pets, kids, or anyone who values feeling safe and supported in their home.
