I called Eileen's this morning in the hopes that they could take a last-minute order for seven dozen cookies to be delivered this afternoon. I was more than pleased when the friendly employee who answered the phone was happy to accommodate my request. I wish I could say I was there when the cookies were delivered and got to actually taste them, but 80 fraternity boys can't be wrong when they thanked me for the cookies and told me "they are insane!" W O N D E R F U L We live in St. Louis, Missouri. Our son works in Ottawa, Kansas. On Tuesday, June 15th, I got the bright idea to send him cookies for his Wednesday, June 16th, birthday. Even though Eileen's is in Lawrence, Kansas, for a small additional fee, they would deliver personalized cookies to our son the next day. They could not have been more accommodating. They put together 2 dozen assorted cookies and a dozen personalized cookies (using a Cub logo which they had never done before - that's surprising). They delivered them on time and sent a picture of the delivered cookies. WoW. We were grateful and excited. Best of all, our son said that the cookies not only looked great, but they were GOOD. I placed an order with Eileen's through work for a reception. They got the cookies done quickly, decorated them for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa for us. Pick up was a breeze. I'd like to thank this place for being so kind and accommodating ! I called and changed my pick up time three times and they were happy to be helpful. I opted to order my husband's birthday treat here because there aren't many options for an affordable birthday cake that isn't Walmart or Dillons. I got the biggest cookie thinking hey, we are going to have a few left overs which WHO DOESN'T want that ?! But can I just tell you that this cookie is HUGE, HUGE ! I'll know in the future to get a big smaller but I'm not complaining really, but maybe my stomach is from not being able to stop eating this delicious cookie. My only complaint is I think someone accidentally got heavy handed with the almond extract because WOWZA it was overwhelming and I am an almond extract lover. Eileen's has really soft, flavorful cookies. They have 12 flavors every day, and you can get large cookies for $1 each or a dozen smaller cookies for $4. You have to get a dozen of the same flavor, though. They also have really neat decorated cookies that are smaller versions of the big cookie cakes for $3 each. My favorite is the snickerdoodle, with chocolate walnut coming in second, though all the flavors are great! read more

Wow - I am so impressed with Eileen's! I called on a Wednesday to attempt to get a last-minute birthday gift for a friend's child. I put in an order for a custom frosted cookie. I ordered the 12 inch chocolate chip cookie, and asked the woman on the phone to incorporate Hello Kitty and the color pink onto the cookie. This picture is the result! Not only did the design of the cookie turn out amazing, but I was able to pick it up 2 days later, just in time for the birthday. And last but not least, it was only 15 dollars (with tax)!! I am a Chicagoan, so this price was a steal to me. Not only am I impressed with the cookie decorating, but also the staff members. I only removed a star because I'm bothered when staff members wear the same gloves to package the cookies AND ring up the sale, handle money, and go right back to package more cookies in the same gloves. I have been regularly going to Eileen's for about a year now. I highly recommend buying into the $5 cookie card that will last you a whole year. The discount will work on the 4" cookies bringing them down to half price. Great thing about it, you have about a dozen different flavors to choose from. To add to it, the prices on the one day old cookies that comes in pack of 12 are very reasonable. And the cookies taste just as good; or at least my palate still registers it as tasty so no complain there. Overall the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I can't count how many times I've had free cookies by the owner. They truly care for the customers and providing a great service every day. read more

Up until today I probably would have rated Eileen's 5 stars. If you just want to run in and grab great cookies on the go, then yes they are awesome. Not so much when pre ordered. When my mother got there, over half the order wasn't done and the prices were higher than what was quoted on the phone. I won't say I'll never go there again but I won't be ordering anymore. I just tried these cookies yesterday. I was not disappointed. I ordered 1 lemon and 1 sugar cookie with frosting on both. Even though it was at the end of the day the cookies were soft and delicious. The staff was nice and accommodating. Just a note for people with nut allergies(which I do have ) they plainly tell you that their cookies may come in contact with nuts (insert sad face) during production , but I did not have any problems with their cookies. read more

These cookies are not good. Very pre-made taste. We bought several sugar cookies and some chocolate chip. The chocolate chip was hard and stale. The frosting on the cookies actually had a funny smell to them. We were hoping to place an order for a group party in March, but felt we could make cookies ourself that would taste better. read more
