As a heterosexual couple deeply in love for over a decade we wanted to save our relationship and make it even better than it had been before. After several sessions with Dr. Clarke it became apparent to both of us that she preferred to view things through a female set of eyes. Both my partner and I thought she was unfair it her assessment of men in general and I began to feel like I was in the wrong on many accounts because of my sex. At one point, months into therapy I reached the tipping point and verbally disagreed with Dr. Clarke during a session. Dr. Clarke raised her voice and continued to verbally abuse me and rather than continue to argue with her I left the session telling her I would not be back. That would be bad enough, but the worst part came after I left. My partner would later inform me that after I left the room Dr. Rosemary Clarke counseled her and urged her to "immediately leave" me because I was not good enough for her and things between her and I would not improve. These statements came from the very doctor who was entrusted with helping us to rebuild our relationship. Together my partner and I visited Dr. Rosemary Clarke and paid her for counseling on how to save our relationship - as a couple. Instead, while I was out of the room she counseled my partner to leave me. Based on the 2014 American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics this was improper and unprofessional behavior by Dr. Rosemary Clarke. Under "Section A.6.d. Role Changes in the Professional Relationship" a counselor must obtain consent from the client when "changing from individual to relationship or family counseling, or vice versa" and "clients must be fully informed of any anticipated consequences (e.g., financial, legal, personal, therapeutic) of counselor role changes." Dr. Rosemary Clarke was hired by my partner as a relationship counselor to help us with our relationship. Instead, she counseled my partner individually when I was out of the room. Dr. Clarke never told me she wanted to speak to my partner without me being present, and obviously she never obtained my consent pursuant to the ACA Code of Ethics. We never saw Dr. Clarke after the aforementioned incident but frankly, the damage was already done because on several occasions afterwards my partner would remind me that "Dr. Clarke told me to leave you." Eventually she did, and I am not blaming Dr. Clarke for our relationship ultimately falling apart, but it certainly did not help. If you are truly interested in saving your relationship or working on relationship goals please think twice before entrusting Dr. Rosemary Clarke to help you.

Was supposed to get a call for an appointment to see Surgeon, guess what? Still waiting. It makes you feel like there's a lack of caring about the Patient, however when speaking to her, she's very empathic, so I am not sure what is going on. She could easily be 5 stars if some things were fixed. When you show up for appt, they don't recall why you are there, what you had done last time, etc..... This department needs some organizing or it could just be her and the Assistant. I like her and want to give her 5 stars but I deserve better care.

I will be returning to his care this month!!! :) 1) Dr. Childers did not retire, but had a medical situation which limited him to what types of care he could provide. He may have been out of the office during his own treatment time. He is now back in full practice. 2) As for medication refill...it is standard practice (some medication require by law) for a provider to see a patient periodically to review the effects of the medications prescribed ... this includes blood levels (usage of many drugs effect internal organs), monitor relief/effectiveness obtained and monitor possible side effects. Some of these perimeters are set by the drug manufactures and/or FDA. . 3) Appointment availability...wow...complaining about a 2 week wait?...Try the 10 month wait I was given by a different osteopath in Albuquerque or the 5 month wait for a colonoscopy! Anyway... getting a non-acute care appointment 2 weeks out in Albuquerque is actually quick. As a "routine client" Jeremy would have been familiar with availability and requirements for refills. 4) INSURANCE... it was clearly posted in the waiting room for many months that this office would no longer be accepting insurance. It was clearly & comprehensively printed out as to when this would take effect and what payments plans would be available. Now that my insurance plan has finally agreed to reimburse me (instead of paying all expenses involved with out of state treatments) I am eager to return to Dr. Childers care!!!

Thurough and easy to understand explanations, an attentive listener, joyful demeaner, and an empathic Doctor. I can only assume that very few patient concerns or frustrations are new to her but she treated every question or feeling I presented to her with dignity. Not to mention, out of three delivery doctors I have had she was by far my favorite. She empowered me during my delivery and I mean that. Its enough so that I sort of tense up any time before I have to go in. This time I needed blood drawn. I have slight needle anxiety, I always let the phlebotomist know, and its never been a problem. This time the staff acted like I was a serious pain in the ass for notifying them. I was embarrassed and apologizing right and left, but the antagonistic attitude of the staff wound my anxiety up so high I had to leave without getting blood drawn. I figure enough is enough. I will say that, so far, it seems like all you have to do cancel a membership is call and tell them you want to quit. So that's sort of a plus, I guess...

I was new to the area and going through a very difficult time - "a dark night of the soul" - so to speak, in addition to experiencing a 45% cut in pay since moving from another state. For her very expensive rate I assumed her skills and ability would be accurate and impressive, since her rate was comparable to a media-known psychic, etc. My time with her proved to be a waste of sacrificed money. She stated herself that she could not connect with me and therefore agreed to refund me 50% of her fee if what she "saw" did not materialize within her stated timeframe. I knew that would put her integrity and authenticity to the test. As I intuited, what she predicted did not occur and I emailed her twice requesting the refund she offered and agreed upon. I never heard from her. I have encountered people like this through out my lifetime before, and my own spiritual growth has allowed me the opportunity to bless and release knowing that we get back what we put forth - it's the law of the universe.

She spends the time needed to hear the problems and to explain the issues, engaged with all the myriad data points every time I have an exam (imagine doing that for every patient; I know that she does because I'm acquainted with a few others of her patients and we all marvel about this) and yet at the same time she always brings a positive/encouraging friendly/kind/caring demeanor that is attentive to the smallest issues and patiently gracious even with the eccentricities of difficult patients (ask how I know). Her staff is professional and kind in person, and you'll generally get a same-day reply from Dr. Barlow or her staff (never later than the next day!) when you send an inquiry through the MyChart system. Dr. Barlow not only gives good, targeted referrals for specialist care, she follows up to make sure that care was provided to her standards. Dr. Barlow comes across as a wonderful caring friend - my wife and I think it's almost a miracle that we'd be blessed to know a physician who's both so razor-edge sharp and yet such a lovely person.
