During the consult, I was told that my brows were too pigmented and needed lightening treatments before they could be redone. I went through a series of six lightening treatments, each costing around $150. After the treatments, I was finally able to get my brows done again. A year later, I received a message from the salon reminding me that it was time for my yearly touch-up. When I tried to schedule, I was informed that the artist who originally worked on my brows was no longer there. I was asked to send pictures of my brows to a new artist, which I did, and then asked when I could come in. I responded that I was available anytime. Later, I received a message saying I needed to come in for another consultation to make sure the new artist could do my brows, and only then could I schedule an appointment. Now, I'm being told once again that my brows are too pigmented and that I need to wait until December. I was told my brows had too much pigment when I first started going, and now I'm hearing the same thing again. The issue isn't that I'm not due for a touch-up; it's the frustrating scheduling process and inconsistent information. It's not my fault that my original artist is no longer there. I sent the requested pictures and was initially told the procedure could be done, only to later be told that I need another consultation and that my brows are too pigmented. I feel that there's a lack of honesty and transparency, and I'm not sure who or what to trust anymore.

When I arrived the door was locked to create a safe environment for each client during Covid. The receptionist walked to the door, asked if I had an appointment, and instructed me to wait while a previous client's services were completed AND the area was cleaned for my appointment. I was very impressed. Mostly because it was apparent from the appearance of the neat and well designed waiting area that pre covid guests were permitted to wait inside the salon. I was appreciative that Nicck and his staff thought to adjust their standard procedure beyond what was merely necessary to keep the space clean and safe. When I came in there was sanitizer waiting, which I was asked to use by the very pleasant receptionist, and I was instructed to meet Nicck at his chair. He was very polite and asked how I heard of him and when I last received a brow service. After I answered he went straight to business and began drawing lines on my face to properly shape my brows to my facial features. I appreciate that Nicck was not dismissive of my eye brows as they were, and actually complimented their natural shape. I have experienced some artists who engage with new clients in a way meant to shame them for not seeking their services sooner, instead of allowing their work to speak for them. I did not feel like he rushed, and I could see by the look on his face that he was taking great care with attention to my brow shape. It's also worth mentioning that the wax Nicck used did not hurt, smell bad, or leave my face sticky at all. During my service we did not talk much, but that did not offend me as I respect and appreciate the need to focus when working. When Nicck was done, he handed me the mirror and I was immediately impressed! Having received the shaping only (without tint) I was doubly impressed by how full Nicck was able to keep my brows.
