I felt like I was not in Texas! There are ample parking spaces. There are lots of paved and less paved roads. From the tower viewpoint, you can see downtown!

One of my fav parks in SA! I used to come here back in the day pretty much every week, sometimes several times a week. Since moving back I hadn't been, just until this past weekend. I was reminded of why I like this park so much. The open spaces, feeling like I'm outside the city hustle and bustle, the hills and fresh air. It's always a swell day for me when I get to go out here in nature :)

Family friendly park with easy to moderate trails. If you stay on the cedar flats main paved trail, there is bathrooms mid way up to the top. Along the trails, there are trash bins and doggy bags to pick up after your furry friends. Be sure to bring extra water for you and your fur babies because you know Texas is scorchin!

Lots of great trails here! Once you get to the tower the view is amazing! Some trails suitable for wheelchairs, others are a good hike up steep rocks. Loved it!

Great morning hike with friends on a cool, cloudy day! Many trails to choose from. We purposely chose the one that leads to the high platform at the top to take in the surroundings and catch a moment of zen. There's a small play area and bathrooms also on site. And pet friendly!

Great park for hiking, running, walking, or just a picnic. There's plenty of trails. Some are paved and some aren't. They aren't that difficult. There's plenty of parking. Plenty of shade where the picnic tables are at. The trails have limited shade. The picnic tables had bbq pits. The bathrooms are closed, but they did have porta pottys available. The park is clean except for the few poop bags that irresponsible dog owners leave behind.

Eisenhower Park has a lot of options for being out in nature. The Cedar Flats trail is covered with asphalt and, although it has some steep inclines, it's a smooth walk to an observation tower that gives broad views of the Hill Country all the way to downtown San Antonio. Other trails have natural surfaces such as weathered limestone rocks, gnarled roots, and fallen leaves. The amenities near the parking area include picnic tables, pavilions, playgrounds, and a bathroom (with flush toilets). There's also a trail head that leads in two directions: one to the Salado Creek Greenway Trail system and the other to the Leon Creek Greenway Trails, for tens of miles of walking or riding.

Great trails with a really good view from the hilltop! I was disappointed in myself for not being prepared to run, as it has a decent length paved trail to the lookout, and it wasn't too crowded. The off-road trails were fun too, with enough rocks to give you at least a little bit of a workout. I did come across a LOT of dog poop bags tossed aside on the trails, even when there are proper receptacles stationed fairly frequently, but I absolutely can't fault the park for lazy dog parents. Overall, a great park with friendly folks!

Great hiking spot for all levels they have paved and not paved. Leashed pets welcome, free park and parking.

It's never bad when I go to a Eisenhower Park, I love Eisenhower Park, Fredreich wilderness Park, And I kind of like Comanche park. This is my go to park for hiking!!!! Honestly, because it's closer to my house then Frederich wilderness and easier to get to. Eisenhower Park does have a playground, it's got indoor bathrooms and it's got several Porta Johns. I went about a week ago and they added brand new Porta Johns to the other side of the parking lot which is great!!! Eisenhower Park has a lookout tower and it's got some bathrooms on the trails. If you're in to hiking Eisenhower Park is a good place to go. However, when I first started going here several years ago, I did not know there were more trails to it. I recommend you getting all trails. It is a free app and when you're on the trails it'll make it easier to know exactly where you are. The trail I go on typically takes me about 2 miles.

If you want to hike, like actually hike and climb up rocks, this is the park for you. They have an amazing level 4 trail with steep hills, a section where you actually have to grab onto the rocks and hoist yourself up, and most importantly, an incredible view. They also have accessible and paved trails as well, but they are not as long as the other ones. This place gets packed FAST so if you want to come here, you need to come early to get a parking spot. For all my dog friendly people, this is also the spot for you. Tons of dogs were welcomed and out hiking the trails with us. Very fun family day!

Lot's of paved and natural "rugged" trails within our city limits. Some of the paved trails are steep, so beware in case you are using a wheel chair. Very clean park and very natural. The Red Oak Trail is a MUST-DO (not paved) - the scenery changes so dramatically on this trail. Finding the trailheads is confusing. When you first drive in, you are drawn to a large pavilion area, but the trailhead is not there. Head west just a bit and look for the kids rock wall playscape and the bathrooms and find the trailhead there. Walk in a few yards and you can get a trail map - or you can print a better one from the SA Parks and Rec website. Cell coverage is available pretty much everywhere in the park but the signage letting you know which marker you are at, etc. is lacking. The Hillview Natural Trail and the Red Oak Trail are really awesome, but some areas are pretty rugged and steep. I would not take pets on the entire loop. Parts of it are ok for pets, but not if you are doing the entire loop. Lowest area is 852 feet above sea level and the highest point is 1233 feet above. Each of these points are on the Hillview Natural Trail. Two story wooden observation tower located on the Cedar Flats Trail just off of the Hillview Natural Trail. Restroom located near there as well (no running water but it is a permanent structure and is kept clean). Near the park entrance, there are several pavilion areas available to rent and also restrooms with running water. Concrete picnic tables and BBQ grills too. They have a small playground and rock climbing wall near the entrance.

Great little local place for hiking. Choose the terrain you want that will challenge you or take it easy on the flat trails.

They also have a sand play area, as well as another section with small games like ping pong, chess and many more games. Overall, this garden/park offers a wide range of outdoor activities for people of all ages. I've been taking my kid here since he was born and as he is growing and exploring new areas of Yanaguana I can truly see how well thought off this park is. To all the locals that don't travel to downtown too often, I would definitely recommend giving this park a chance before winter comes. Also, for all the tourists coming with little ones that need the space to run around for a couple of hours, this is most definitely the spot for you!

There's separate picnic tables by the Kimpton hotel side that's great for a quick meal too. Lots of splash pads and shaded areas with chairs for the parents to watch from a distance. Parking is going to be a challenge on the weekends but paid parking isn't too far away.
