I've now been here twice -- once with my 4-year-old last year and now with my 2-year-old -- and both experiences were excellent. We were taken back almost immediately, and the entire visit took about 45 minutes from start to finish. The staff was attentive, thorough, and great with kids. I was prescribed amoxicillin. Took with food as directed. Vomitted 15min later. Felt nauseous for the rest of the day. Called back to have antibiotics changed as my body isn't agreeing with it. Doctor pretty much said no and that to keep taking it. Staff was great. But I can no longer put my trust in their doctors. And this isn't the first complaint I have of them. There has been a few but I've never left a review.... I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'd definitely would suggest going elsewhere for healthcare. UPDATE: Called my primary (Kaiser) and they were able to change it to Augmentin... which I've had in the past. If the doctor did their due diligence and researched my health file...they would have seen that I had no reaction to it and had been prescribed before. "Augmentin is a widely used antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial infections. It is a combination of two drugs: amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic, and clavulanate potassium, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination allows Augmentin to be effective against a broader range of bacteria, including those that might be resistant to amoxicillin alone. " "In summary, while Augmentin contains Amoxicillin, it's possible to be allergic to Amoxicillin and not Augmentin due to individual reactions and the presence of clavulanic acid in Augmentin, which can alter its interaction with your body. Today i had to take my girlfriend here for a sore wrist. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist. She completed intake and we sat down in wait room. I anticipated a long wait, but only eight minutes later we were called to the back exam rooms. A nurse immediately sat us down and started taking vitals and asking lots of questions as to why we were there. Shee did a quick check of her condition and said the doctor would be in soon. Only four minutes later a doctor came in and began the examination. She said wr need sn ex ray. Two minutes later the x ray tec came in and walked her to x ray room. Five miuutes later she returned. Not more than five minutes the doctor returned and told us the results. The nursr then put on a sling and we were on our way. I was super inpressed with how efficient this place is. Sabbath which was our nurse was rude. Was not understanding of our sick child whom is Autistic. Made him get off his iPod which he was looking at pictures which calmed him down. I went in to have my blood work done. A young man by the name of Carlos drew my blood. Carlos was professional, and very courteous. He drew my blood before I even knew the needle was even inside. I hate to tell other people this, but ask for Carlos. It might make me wait longer, but he is definitely worth telling everybody about. read more

Do not take your child here. Took my 3 year old daughter here and Dr.Patel was extremely rude and careless. The LVN charge nurse on duty was even worse on 5/18. Strongly recommended going to any different location. They have poor service have a lot of work of improvement to do. Only positive is the front desk lady was great. read more

New to the area and wasn't sure if this was the emergency room at the hospital or like a doctors on duty. It's an urgent care a division of the hospital. The only reason I am giving 2 stars as opposed to one is because the staff was very kind and I was quickly seen. What I am unhappy with is that I came to this urgent care after being sick for 10 days with oozing eyes, plugged ears, a sore throat, chills, fever, and a cough. A nurse swabbed my nose for COVID and my throat for strep. The doctor came in and said I was negative for both and that I needed to test for more illnesses, but that they were unable to test for anything else (???). She did check my ears and throat and said they were fine. She recommended that I contact my primary doctor. When I called Kaiser, they were very concerned that I had been sick for so long and managed to squeeze me into an appointment. The doctor I saw was mottificied that I was told my throat and ears were fine when they were clearly infected. I had a double eye and ear infection and started steroids and antibiotics. She was also shocked that I was not given anything for my illness, that my abdomen was not checked, and that they didn't run blood tests. Overall I am just shocked that this urgent care is so incapable of helping people. About six months prior to this, I came to this urgent care with stomach issues and they said they didn't have the tests for that type of issue (???) and told me to go to the emergency room where I spent $500 for basic treatment. Safe to say, just avoid this urgent care at all costs. Save your money and time. Update: Dropping to one star because they claimed I was negative for strep, but the test I took the next day at Kaiser just came back as positive. What an awful experience. read more

Had to take my father to urgent care. He had bad pressure in his left ear and it felt clogged.. it was affecting his walking and started to feel tingling on his left side. (I was thinking vertigo) The receptionist was cold, not kind but since she wasn't a nurse or dr I didn't let it bother me to much in the beginning Then when it was time to call my father back they told me I had to stay in the lobby, I explained I am his health proxy and that since he was a little out of it I would like to be there to help answer questions. I was told no and stay in the lobby. So I did. A couple came in after us. when he was called to the back his wife went with him no questions asked she was not asked to stay in the lobby like me. My father is black and I didn't want to assume discrimination. But the white couple went back together no questions asked and his symptom was just an upset stomach. I had to request again to go to the back after what I saw and still had initial push back. I had to ask is it because my father is black and that this felt like discrimination. Then they let me back. Cold service. Did not want to honor advocate care for patients... Only giving a 2 star bc one nurse was great and communicated with my dad like he was a human. And the paramedics that transported him to the hospital were great and detailed with their care. More than I can say for the rest the medical team there My dad was transported to the hospital, turns out it was his heart and he was admitted.. read more

I went in this morning with a leg ailment, and was treated over the top rude. They didn't even lay eyes on my ailment. I was treated for not having a primary in this area and my cardiologist at Scripps rather the my leaking bleeding leg. Boo on those reviewers who gave Eisenhower Urgent Care in La Qumta less than a five star review. Yesterday I was in extreme distress due to an asthma attack. The Eisenhower ER quoted a 9 hour wait time so I opted to give the Eisenhower Urgent Care in La Quinta a try. Here's my experience and why I gave my team five stars -- keep in mind I have a really high bar: * High attention to CDC protocols - even though I was vaccinated and said I had recently self tested a negative results Covid test, they asked that since I had a cough and breathing difficulties I wait in my car until a Dr was available. Approximately one hour later I saw a nurse who said I needed a Covid test prior to seeing Dr. Kudos to them for following process -- and yes, I tested negative -- results took ~15 minutes. * Extremely competent and responsive medical team - the nurse (can't remember her name) and Dr. Cohen were super thorough. After taking medical history and confirming issue, they responded immediately with a treatment plan. I couldn't have experienced better treatment at an ER. * Team went the extra mile - they made sure all recommended meds were at my first choice pharmacy. They also made a recommendation and processed paper work for follow up with a highly positive reviewed local specialist. * Team made sure I was in a good place (breathing, blood pressure, etc.) before releasing me with detailed release instructions. So sorry for those reviewers who did not give a five star review. The Eisenhower Urgent Care Team exceeded my expectations. Yes, there was a delay getting in -- but with Covid that's a given wherever you go so grow up and accept this new normal. What's important, they followed CDC protocols, they appropriately triaged me, they were competent at identifying issue and treating it short term, lastly they made sure there was future follow up. Superior medical care doesn't get any better than this -- thank you Dr. Cohen and the staff at this facility. read more

The dr was put out by my presence after a 30 second exam She said she'd give me some meds No xray was offered I realize it's urgent care but you really have to act like you want to be there for your patients. My mother has a probability of an UTI and Tennity ER sat her in the waiting room for 5hrs now. She peeing on herself and the chair and the floor. Terrible at explaining anything. I understand that they want patients in & out quickly but the lack of any care to explain (in my situation) actually just pissed me off. A worthless visit. Tried on the phone to get the answers I needed and that was a waste of my time. Will have to go to another facility to get this figured out. Efficient service for urgent care. I was in and out in 90 minutes. Saw the doctor, had X-rays and walked out with a splint in that timeframe. Staff is courteous and friendly. Comfortable facilities but it was a bit cold. Bring socks and a light jacket. read more

Unfortunately 1 star is the very least I can give on my review. First and foremost let me tell you what a disappointment it was to come to this Urgent care. "Doctor" Andrew Nguyen Do greeted me with a total disrespectful and condescending tone while telling me that my injury isn't anything compared to the football players he treats for concussions, that I should be fine because his football players recover within a week. (he did not say it as nicely as i typed this.) Not only is this completely dismissive about my issues, but he is comparing me (4ft tall 99lbs Woman) to 250lbs football players as well as made me feel like I should just shut up and move on with my life after my 5 staples + severe head concussion. TOTAL LOSS CAR ACCIDENT. I understand football players get hit harder, not only that, but I understand that those hits, although recovered immediately, produce LONGTERM neurological issues. Absolutely NEVER going to recommend this doctor to anyone who seriously cares about their health. He's not worried about your issues, he's concerned with getting you out his office as soon as possible. I was hit with a 2,000lb of STEEL car and this is the help they gave me. Thanks. read more

In the past I have gone to this urgent care for myself and my daughter with little to no issues. This time they were busier, which is expected during flu season. The doctor I saw was very short when he came in. The first time he came in my room, he knocked and walked in before I could even say it was okay. I was not covered up completely so that made me a little uncomfortable. Then he came in and was very short with me again about my knee being sprained and what I needed to do. A good amount of staff watch me limping around, along with me telling multiple staff members I can't walk well. No one offered me crutches to take home or anything. I had to go to my primary care hospital to get crutches with a nurses visit. Definitely was not satisfied with the care or hospitality of this urgent care with this visit. read more

This location is so awful. It's conveniently close to home but the next time I need an urgent care visit I will gladly go out of my way to one of the other locations. Each time I've been here it's been a disappointing experience, but this most recent experience was highly frustrating. I went into the urgent care on Wednesday 1/11 for an awful sore throat that started the day prior. We're talking bad, mostly extremely painful to swallow and I was finding it hard to function and not finding relief. I was tested for Covid, the flu, and strep, all which came back negative. The doctor came in to see me eventually and made me aware of the results and told me I possibly "came in too early" where I may have one of the three infections, but tested too early to detect anything. Made no sense, but I didn't argue. However, there had to be some explanation as this feeling of painful swallowing was not normal to me, nor would I think it would be for anyone else so I gently pushed for a throat culture. He took the throat culture and said it would take a day or two to get the results back. Meanwhile, he prescribed me Tylenol 3 for the swallowing pain. Two days go by and I finally see the results uploaded to MyChart. However, I couldn't make sense of what it implied as I, of course, am not a medical professional. So, I called the urgent care to see if I could talk to someone about understanding my results. I was told by the receptionist that they would give a message to a nurse and a nurse would call me back. Never called me back. This was Friday 1/13. Fast forward to Monday 1/16, I called again to try and talk to someone and got a voicemail. Left a voicemail. Never heard anything. Then today, 1/17, I called again and the receptionist said "hold on let me get you over to a nurse. Transferred me, got a voicemail, again. Mind you, it's the 17th today and I have had no improvement with my throat and the painful swallowing. If anything, it's gotten worse and I was told by the doctor that if the results of the throat culture showed some sort of infection, that they would get me on antibiotics. So, it's been damn near a week. I clearly have some sort of infection, and if someone would have called me sooner to go over my results to verify if there is indeed a lingering infection, I would have been on antibiotics already and this pain wouldn't have dragged out. I'm extremely upset. I get it gets busy, but for patients that pay money out of pocket to go to the urgent care, the least you can do is give them a call back. What an absolute joke. read more

It's decent. You know your body best. Do not stop advocating for yourself. I went here 12/12/22 because I was having flu like symptoms. They tested me for C-19 and Flu. I tested negative. They recommended I go to ER if I get worse. Next day, 12/13/22, I went to ER, they wanted to test me for C-19 & Flu but they told me results with be ready in 6 hours so I left and I went back to Eisenhower Urgent Care and they refuse to do any additional testing, even test my urine sample that I provided upon registering. Today 12/21/22 My symptoms continued, I went to Carbon Health and I tested negative for COVID and Flu but PA suspected I had pneumonia. He order a chest xray, they did it right away and 15 mins later it was confirmed that I had pneumonia. Again, you know your body best. . I went to 3 urgent cares and 1 ER. Carbon Health finally saw the plead in my eyes. read more

The urgent care is clean and the staff is kind but I learned my lesson when I was billed. As usual with an Eisenhower hospital you are billed differently than a usual urgent care visit. You will be billed as an outpatient visit NOT an urgent care visit. For me that meant a difference of $150 for my visit. Super frustrating when I could have gone to another urgent care for $25 copay. read more

Trying to get better with my shoulder and arm pain. My appointment was at 9:20. Checked in at 9; was put back in the room at 9:15. It is now 10:06 and still have not been seen by doctor. This is ridiculous; I still have to go to work and I'm not getting paid for waiting. New doctor in this office; with the other doctor did not wait more than 15 minutes. Horrible and sad. Doesn't look like there busy. Nurses are great. I guess you never know; but if I need to wait longer I will have to reschedule. Waist of my time and effort. read more

A below than average experience with a 45 minute wait in lobby and 30 minute wait to see the doctor after the nurse checked me in. Total time was about 1 hr and 45 and it was frustrating joke!! Dr. Nick seems like he could care less about patients and treated me like I was just a random burden he had to see to meet his quota. His overall diagnosis for me was "sorry, I'm not sure what I can do, you don't look sick and your symptoms are not adding up". My self diagnosis was better than his which I was happy to share with him after he gave me his lame opinion. Just because I don't look sick doesn't mean Im not in pain. Believe me, I'd rather be in the La Quinta sun than hang out in a hospital with sick people and waste my money. There was no guidance on how to take care of myself after I left the hospital such as, rest more, eat this don't eat that, take this over the counter to help. Nothing. Dr Nick should participate in of those online medical sites where you put in general symptoms and random illnesses pop out diagnosing people with a cookie cutter result. I tried my best to avoid going to an urgent care facility while I was on vacation (debating with myself what was worse, my physical pains and symptoms or paying facility fees in addition to my co-pay medical insurance) but had to go in just in case there was something wrong with me that was beyond my own medical control. In the end I ended up treating myself as best as I could with the nurse hotline I have through my insurance carrier and remembered the information my doctor back home gave me to alleviate my symptoms. I was just hoping to get some immediate care from the jokester Dr Nick. Definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth and gives Urgent Care clinics a bad rep. read more

Another waste of time. Dr came in didn't pull up my info on the computer and asked me why was I there? I was so off put I didn't know how to answer. Fever, headache since Monday. BP was low . I thought maybe a sinus infection? Didn't matter I was dismissed the moment she walked in. Suggested I go to emergency room. She said she couldn't diagnosis me and that I didn't look sick!!! 102.1 fever this morning I'm not hungry. It's not covid. Lady I'm a cancer survivor I had a bone marrow/stem transplant in my 30's. And yesterday I was referred to the cardio surgical team for open heart surgery, so if I look sick go look for a good funeral home. Cause things about to go bad. I give this Urgent Care two stars because of my most recent experience and how I was treated. I initially injured my wrist and went to the urgent care in Ranch Mirage where they X-ray showed no break or visible fracture and yet my wrist was excessively swollen and painful. They told me to return if the swelling didn't go down in 72-Hours or see my primary care provider. I returned four days later to this location because the swelling barely went down and the pain was less intense and more throbbing. They had me wait two hours for X-ray in a room with seven chairs that barley even fit in there and then when the physician returned with the results she showed the two in comparison and noted it was a tendon and not bone issue. The way they treated me from checking in until I was discharged was that of one looking to score opiate pain medication, which was not the case and I wasn't even expecting or wanting a prescription this visit at all, just wanted to know what to do about my wrist. This place will profile you, regardless your medical concern, age or that and I got labelled as a drug seeker unjustly and unfairly! Won't go back!! read more

Received the most deplorable treatment from a nurse named Donna Smith. Went in with cold, viral infection symptoms and as I simply tried to explain my symptoms, she interrupted me first instructing me that if I have phlegm I must have congestion so I should have stated that, and then shockingly accused me of yelling at her and treating her in a hostile manner. I was simply trying to better explain my symptoms since she felt the need to instruct me in a grating way and she over and over again accused me of yelling at her and being hostile and that she's only trying to help me. I've never felt less helped in a medical setting. I ask how I could have yelled with a raw sore throat and cough ? Perhaps it's a strategy she uses to gain power over the patient and avoid potentially being abused, I don't know. I know I am a quiet, composed person who absolutely did not yell and I did not deserve to be treated this way when I was just a sick person seeking help. There are great nurses out there who are kind to patients. The other attending assistants were nice. Donna Smith abuses her power and absolutely should be fired. read more

First off I've had good experiences here, some of the doctors have been very understanding and helpful. However ever since Covid-19 a lot of the doctors take the time to actually listen to what you have to say and just rush to get you out of there. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I understand that we're in the middle of a pandemic, a very serious one, but that doesn't give anyone the right to treat patients like garbage. Never coming back ever again.
