Cheese wontons - super crispy and delicious

This was SO GOOD & SO SATISFYING! The lo-mein was sauced perfectly, the teriyaki sauce was tangy but smooth, and the salmon cooked to perfection, crispy but flaky and not fishy like some other places! The spring roll and sushi were on point too! The ginger salad is the BEST part! I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about this place!! I ordered through DoorDash & had it delivered in under an hour !

This was my first time eating at EKIBEN House and it was a very enjoyable experience! Establishment was clean and the menu was extensive with many of my favorite Korean and Asian dishes! Everything was fresh made and hot. It is a very casual environment, more like a café, but the counter Staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning. The only con is that they use disposable dinnerware when you are eating in the restaurant.

    Happy Customers.

Came in with a large party of 30 people as we were just landing with our Disaster Relief Team. Asked the owner to prepare family style meal for us on the fly and was outstanding food. Would give this restaurant 10 stars if it was available for service and quality of food. We are so grateful for their service and accommodating our group. With several chefs in our group we could not be more impressed on every level.

As always, service, cleanliness, and professionalism, and quality are top-notch! I absolutely love coming here!

My friend and I stopped in for a different experience in restaurants. The place was spotless! The delicious smells that greeted you as you walked in were fresh and not overbearing. I had the pork bento bowl and my friend had a lemongrass chicken and rice bowl. Both were exceptionally delicious and very fresh! We will definitely be back again!! If you are looking for an Asian place that doesn't serve your food with a slab of grease, this place is where you want to be!!! The prices are mostly around $9-9.50. On top of everything else, we had a complimentary dessert and the service was phenomenal!

Friday afternoon, my wife and I tried EkiBen House  right next to Little Caesars Pizza and behind Metro Diner at 19400 Cochran Blvd Unit #2, Port Charlotte. It's kind of tucked away and hard to see, but it is well worth checking out. The first thing we noticed when we walked in is that the place is spotlessly clean.  It's not a large place with only about 10 tables.  The ordering counter is straight to the back and slightly to the right.  They have paper menus at the counter, but you can also look on the wall, as they have their most popular dishes displayed. One thing to note, their menu is extensive and they have several proteins that are prepared about the same way, but displayed differently.  It will take some time for me to understand all this since I am unfamiliar with Japanese foods. As far as I can tell, this is pretty authentic fare. My wife does not like much spice, but ordered the honey chicken with sweet and hot sauce.   She ordered the sauce on the side.  I ordered Beef and Broccoli.  However, I like hot and spicy food and the server suggested some hot chili oil, which was a good call!  BTW, the service was GREAT and the staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions.  I also ordered the Miso Soup and some fried Gyoza (I've never had that) They also gave us some free apps of a couple of spring rolls and a couple of dumplings of fried milk.  Never had that either, but it is TASTY!  In fact, everything was great.  It was not oily and if anything, if kind of was a little bit bland.  My suspicion is that is how Japanese food is, and to spice things up, you would put on their sauces.  They have more than we tried, I just have to get used to what they have. We will be back!  The portion sizes were large and the price was VERY reasonable.  Like us, I know you would like it if you tried it.  It is definitely different from Chinese food, but that is a GOOD THING when you want to try Japanese cuisine. Check them out.  You will be happy you did!

Father's Day Adventure at ICHI Hibachi - Gasparilla Island…read more If there's one thing I've learned after all these years of marriage, it's this: never question the itinerary when your wife is the family vacation planner. Somehow, she always finds places I'd never think of, and this Father's Day she absolutely outdid herself. She surprised us with a road trip to Punta Gorda, Florida, and then whisked us over to Gasparilla Island where the biggest traffic jam you'll find is a line of golf carts! Seriously, if you've never been to an island where golf carts are the preferred mode of transportation, you're missing out. The island is full of history dating back to the 1800s, the scenery is incredible, and the locals couldn't have been friendlier. After spending the day exploring, we worked up an appetite and stumbled across ICHI Hibachi. Let me tell you they understood the assignment! Back home, we've been to our fair share of hibachi restaurants where somehow the bill is huge, but the portions are tiny and you're wondering if you should stop for a burger afterward. Not here. ICHI Hibachi delivered: Huge portions Fresh, flavorful food Perfectly cooked steak and shrimp Sushi that disappeared faster than my Father's Day dessert Friendly, attentive service from start to finish By the end of the meal, we were stuffed, happy, and already talking about coming back. That's the kind of restaurant you hope to find on vacation. To my amazing wife thank you for another unforgettable Father's Day adventure. I don't know how you keep finding these hidden gems, but please don't stop. 10/10 would recommend. Just make sure your golf cart has enough battery to get you back after dinner... because you'll definitely leave too full to walk!

Sushi is well presented and fresh, front Hostess was pleasant and the ambiance is welcoming !! BUT.....some things have changed with them and this experience was not good. Seating is always a crowded experience during busy times. We stopped in around 2:30, it was not crowded and we sat at the bar. Well, we tried to sit at the bar. The tables were butted up to the bar chairs leaving zero room to access. Whose brilliant idea was this?? We actually had to move the heavy table to get into our bar seats. THEN, when I went to the restroom, my husband had to get out of his chair, move it out of the way so I could even get out. Ridiculous !!! If they don't want guests sitting at the bar... then take it out !! The booths are fine with plenty of room but the center with random tables & chairs..... terrible. The staff also left all the dirty glasses on the counter right in front of where we were eating. Disgusting. They should have another station to collect the dirty glasses. A family of 6 sat right behind us and we could hear their conversations and when we left our bar seats, we were squeezing and bumping their chairs to get out. Next, I went to the ladies room. WHAT A MESS !! The toilet paper holder was broken, the soap dispenser was broken and tissue paper was left on the floor. (granted, we should have responsible ladies to not leave their tissues on the floor either). But, that being said.... Routine inspections by management should be scheduled and FIX THE EQUIPMENT. And what's that "stuff" left on the table just outside the restroom ??? Garbage ??? We believe these Owners are getting greedy and want to squish tables so tightly together so they can seat more people and forget about the comfort of their patrons. Such a shame....... I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. There are other Sushi places around.
