I would understand if I was a walk in, but my appointment was at 9:30 am. The email confirmation even said to arrive 15-20 minutes early. I almost wonder if urgent care would have been more efficient. In my opinion, it is ridiculous to wait this long when you've made an appointment, especially with 0 communication. At least let me know you are running behind or give me the option to come back at a different time. Often times patients are squeezing in these appointments in between their own work days, kid pick ups, etc. I think there needs to be more courtesy for patients. I'm just thankful I wasn't extremely ill having to wait this long! Thankfully the appointment with my doctor went great, but I'd love a bit more communication. During the visit, I heard an older woman asking how much longer, so the doctor left and went to talk to her and even tried to reschedule. Everything started out fine. I even thought he seemed pretty good at first. Over time I came to see his true colors. I feel he's more interested in patting himself on the back than taking care of his patients. He was disrespectful towards me, arrogant, and generally has a poor bedside manner. I saw him a couple times during the pandemic and he never even bothered asking me if I was vaccinated. Strange. He's clearly impressed with himself for reasons I can't understand. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and have never had a bad experience until now…read more The nurses and front desk staff are always friendly and helpful, no complaints there. My primary care doctor, Dr. Serna, is amazing and always takes great care of me. I had an appointment with her today, but the office called to let me know she wasn't in and asked if I wanted to reschedule or see another doctor. Since I've been in significant ear pain, I chose to see Dr. Ashizawa just to get a referral to an ENT. My appointment was at 3:00, but he didn't come in until 3:50. After briefly looking in my ear and doing a quick ear drum test, he said nothing was wrong and that there was nothing more he could do. I asked if he could please send a referral to an ENT since I'm in a lot of pain and pressure, but he shrugged and said there was no point because they wouldn't do anything different. That's simply not true, he barely investigated the issue. I left after two hours with no diagnosis or help and am now debating whether to go to the ER or pay out of pocket to see a specialist. I'd highly recommend avoiding Dr. Ashizawa, he seemed completely dismissive and uninterested in helping his patients.

I was in a lot of pain he recommended more test and he was straight forward but not rude! Really old school yet young! Made me comfortable and asked questions to rule out other issues! I have actually scheduled my last two appt with him! He is quick to respond / follow up on my chart which works for me so your not playing phone tag!
