Entrees: daughter-bacon cheeseburger w/fries. Her dad- 1 lb of Cajun Shrimp. Me. Southwest Salad with a big Salmon added for extra $10. It was worth it and we all agreed, I scored the best dish at the table. It was delicious! (Said everyone). The waitresses were very attentive. So much so, we had 3 different waitresses asking for our order once already ordered. 3 waitresses asking do we need anything else. 3 waitresses asking if we're good. After we paid, another waitress came over and asked us if we were ready to pay. We dismissed the confusion and waved off all the drama but really, though, every waitress who addressed us everytime, was a Lot, all of those women, everytime, had smiles on their faces and were happy that we were good to go. We did enjoy our time there. Food was great.

Zack and Marissa were so kind and welcoming and provided such attentive service! We enjoyed the delicious fried chicken & egg biscuit sandwich and veggie omelette. The French bubbly they have by the glass was so good, too! We can't wait to come back to try dinner and also check out live music in their basement pub.

I had the Cobb salad and it was tasty and huge. Friends had the patty melt, the gyro feta burger, and a build your own burger. Everything was very tasty and portions were not to big but not to small. My disappointment is with the server. She set the menus down and then immediately asked if we were ready to order. Umm, no. She said she'd give us a couple minutes to look them over and then disappeared for 10. We had to ask another server to take our drink order and then she finally showed up. When the food came out, it came out one dish at a time. Why? We were sitting at a four top table, right in front of the bar, plenary of room to maneuver. However, she always brought the food to one side of the table and then stretched across two of us to give the food to the other side of the table. Why? Take four extra steps and set the food down right in front of the people and not across people. I'd go back but would be very careful of who my server was.

Located on the 2nd floor above a bookshop, Miss Minerva's sets the stage for afternoon tea with an…read moreold Hollywood Art Deco vibe. The menu reflects this with sandwiches and salads named for the likes of Bogart and Hepburn as well as afternoon tea options ranging from the Wonka Chocolate Tea to a classic afternoon tea and seasonal tea featuring soup and salad. We tried both the Wonka tea and the classic tea. The Wonka tea was a winner with its range of chocolate goodies, ranging from chocolate covered strawberries to a truly excellent slice of chocolate cake (that was also featured in the classic tea) right down to a solid chocolate spoon for stirring the chocolate flavored tea (you could also opt for hot chocolate instead of the tea). The classic tea was a bit more uneven, with the chicken salad sandwich and an unusual sweet potato sandwich featuring bacon jam and pepper jelly being quite good, while the thick sliced radish and cucumber sandwiches could do with refining of presentation (nobody really likes a thick slab of radish with the skin left on) and more flavor. Even a little extra salt would help. There are many varieties of tea to choose from for your classic tea and they were uniformly excellent. Service is leisurely, allowing time to relax and socialize, which is, after all, the point of afternoon tea. We never felt rushed and service was unobtrusive but professional. Our server quickly provided additional hot water for the pots and generally made us feel welcomed and well cared for. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

We were the first of the day so we got our items relatively quickly, but the room filled up pretty fast, so I would probably recommend a reservation. We got the tea for two, and I was impressed with the sandwiches and churros. The other desserts on the tray I was less impressed with, a little dry and felt a day or two old. The tea was great.
