The salsa tray has the salsa on one side and tomatillo salsa on the other. The tomatillo salsa was warm and oh so good! My wife had the Empanada Trio with chicken inside. She said they were delicious. I had the Enchilada Platter. I wanted to try their carne asada and the chicken so I ordered one of each. They were delicious!! The meat was seasoned well not salty and the same with the chicken. The best enchiladas I've had and I've eaten a lot of enchiladas in my life. The beans and rice were also very good and not salty or dry. Everything was hot but not burn your mouth hot. Well worth trying if have a craving for Mexican cuisine!

I'm not one to complain about complimentary chips and salsa, but man no flavor and no salt in either salsas nor on the chips! Bummer. The garlic shrimp were pretty solid, albeit a fairly small portion of 4 shrimps for 18 bucks. The lomo saltado really missed the mark. Grey looking steak a la Applebees, not much flavor overall in the dish... beans and rice were good! Shrimp fajitas were also very forgettable, shrimp were well cooked but lacked seasoning. The 'epic margarita' aka a coronarita was okay, margarita itself lacked brightness and was a bit too sweet.

We came mainly for the birria pizza and birria ramen, and both were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The service really stood out too. Staff were polite, and super efficient; I think our food came out in like 15 minutes or less! The space itself is bright, colorful, and has a comfortable, homey vibe. We went on a Friday and were able to walk in and get seats easily, which was a nice surprise. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area though, so you may have to park a little farther away and walk. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Overall, such a great experience and we will definitely be back next time we are in Virginia!

My son ordered Chicken enchiladas and they were amazing. Son's girlfriend had Torta with Birria, delish! Service was great, we got were seated right away, server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean, full of vibrant colors. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. If you live in and around this area I highly recommend this place. I'm visiting from California and I can honestly say there is nothing like this back home. Last thing, you can't beat the prices in this restaurant! The restaurant is on a corner, parking in the back. Came back on Cinco de Mayo since we had such a good experience the other night. We didn't get any chips / salsa (server forgot). They ran out of guacamole, the burrito we ordered had no green salsa ( we asked for it and we paid extra). My fajitas were a little over done, I asked for medium rare. Server didn't bring silverware, we had to ask. Granted it was Cinco de Mayo, but running out of guacamole?? I originally gave a 5 star but had to change it.

We decided to check out Taqueria Xochi after hearing about their new soft-serve margaritas. Unfortunately, we learned that they're currently only available at the Navy Yard location. While that was a bit disappointing, it definitely didn't stop us from having a great time. The space is on the smaller side as others have mentioned but it's still a fantastic neighborhood spot with a fun atmosphere. What really made our visit memorable was Liliana. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our experience 10 times better. Not only was she super sweet, but she was also crafting margaritas to perfection all evening. During "Xochi Hour" we tried several margaritas, including the Classic, Hibiscus, and Strawberry Morita. Every single one was delicious, well-balanced and expertly made. For food, we ordered the chips and salsa, along with the Tinga and Al Pastor tacos (two tacos per order). Everything paired perfectly with the drinks and hit the spot for happy hour. If you're in Arlington and looking for a great happy hour destination, Taqueria Xochi is absolutely worth a visit. And when you stop by, be sure to ask for Liliana she'll take great care of you!
