I had this place saved from IG reels for a while, so I was really excited to finally check Los Chamacos off my list and it definitely lived up to the hype! We came mainly for the birria pizza and birria ramen, and both were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The service really stood out too. Staff were polite, and super efficient; I think our food came out in like 15 minutes or less! The space itself is bright, colorful, and has a comfortable, homey vibe. We went on a Friday and were able to walk in and get seats easily, which was a nice surprise. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area though, so you may have to park a little farther away and walk. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Overall, such a great experience and we will definitely be back next time we are in Virginia! read more

The food here was delicious! I had the Steak fajitas and asked for medium rare and that's exactly what I got. The refried beans were very good and the rice was cooked to perfection. It held up relatively well to delivery. I did try putting one slice in the toaster oven, but it didn't change it that much. Either way, the flavors were bursting and it was phenomenal. Very solid burrito! My burrito was fairly priced and bigger than my head. That is a great value. My carne asada were charred bits of beef... not actually steak. I actually really enjoyed that style! The only negative is that it was not enough protein to balance all that rice and tortilla. Honestly if they added one more scoop of meat then I would definitely boost my rating up to a 5 star. The chile relleno is the best rendition that I've had in the NOVA region. Light, fluffy, cheesy, and perfectly accompanied by a tomato sauce and Mexican rice. The atmosphere is always festive every single day of the year. Different Mexican beers on tap. A family run establishment with friendly service and a neighborhood feel. In my world, unless it is a wet burrito, a burrito needs to come wrapped in foil and is a handheld item. I love that Las Chamacos does it right! There are a few things I would change about the burritos, but I will have to see after I order in person. Food was decent but seemed different from previous visits. Service was ok but you were sort of just there. The atmosphere is fine and no real complaints. For parking, there's free street parking in the evening so nothing to stop you from going. This last trip we tried different things and saw the dip in food. I would have my order again but wouldn't go out of my way for it. Just didn't impress. We started off our meal with nachos, that I thought were the highlight. They were better than most nachos, and then things went downhill from there. My wife ordered a Mexican mole plate with oaxaca mole but got red mole, which was too spicy for her and so my son switched with her. She found her experience disappointing. When we called, the so-called manager said I "didn't pay for the egg" -- but the app shows that price as the item. If the egg is extra, then the app should clearly say that. How am I supposed to know I need to pay more if it's not showing? If I needed to pay for it, I would've paid for it, but the app did not indicate that at all. That is their mistake, not mine. On top of that, the order had way too much onion and almost no sauce. Chilaquiles without sauce are NOT chilaquiles. * The second order was the same -- dry, barely any sauce, and literally 2-3 tiny pieces of chicken (you can clearly see it in the photo). * The third order was dangerous. We clearly requested NO ONION because my friend is ALLERGIC, and they still added a lot of onion. When we called to fix THEIR mistake, the woman who answered said she was the manager and was rude and aggressive. She said we "didn't pay for the egg," demanded proof of my friend's allergy, and then told us to bring the food back because they "couldn't come pick it up." I paid a $7 delivery fee plus tip, ordered online because I was sick, and they still expected me to drive the food back for THEIR mistake? Completely unacceptable. On top of that, she started yelling, calling me "mamacita", and screaming over the phone. That is beyond disrespectful and extremely unprofessional behavior, especially from someone claiming to be a manager. Between the poor food quality, ignored allergy request, and hostile customer service, this place is a hard DO NOT RECOMMEND. I will never order from here again. Do not recommend, save yourself some time and money and eat anywhere else. We ordered a ground beef burrito, but were served a chicken burrito instead. A 16 oz margarita cost $20, and we couldn't find the price listed on the menu. Don't take my word for it, look at the menu photos uploaded on Yelp! and see for yourself. But the absolute worst part was the Melted Cheese Dip Yellow. If you want to know how it tasted imagine taking the powder pouch of a Kraft Mac N Cheese single-serving box, adding water to the powder, heating it up in a microwave for five minutes, and then mixing up the powder in such a way that it got nice and clumpy. And in particular, do yourself a favor and order the molcajete. It's huge enough to feed two, and you may even have leftovers. I admit that I'm a bit of a molcajete snob, and Los Chamacos does it right! This is also the first Mexican restaurant that we took our 2 year old to. He devoured the rice and frijoles - as well as much of the meat from our molcajete. Had three types of margaritas and all three were great. A little sad I told him it was my moms 80th birthday and they did nothing. Not a single person in there was 80. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find parking right out front (street parking) i think you can also park behind the restaurant as well. The menu is quite large and had numerous birria options alongside other options like fajitas, soups, enchiladas! I ordered the birria pizza to split for the table and wow this is so filling! The birria "pizza" was jammed packed with meat and cheese. I believe the concept behind this was using large quesadilla tortillas as the "crust". This was paired with 2 side consumes and sour cream. I really enjoyed the birria pizza! Packed with alot of flavors :) this was so filling that i had plenty of leftovers to take home! The only thing was a "con" was the consume. I thought it was alot saltier than other consumes I've had.. this made me a little bit thirstier why eating if you dip the pizza in consume. Service here was great and we was checked on quite often!
