This location of Taberna de Nino was one of our favorite Spanish tapas meals in Lanzarote. The…read moreatmosphere was great, the outside balcony was beautiful. Friendly, english speaking servers, and great wine choices. Food was very delicious. Patas Bravas trio was great, 3 different style of potatoes. The goat cheese and fig plate was delicious, one of my favorites. Also had seabass croquettes, which were very good. The beef skewers was not what we expected, but still delicious; beef and toppings prepared inside a pita, there were 4-5 pitas in the basket, so it was more like mini-gyros in a pita, but still good. The prices were good for the size, all our plates were less than 10 EUR each, and the bottle of wine was 12 EUR. Delicious meal, huge menu, pretty restaurant, and very nice outside patio. I recommend!

We ordered 6 and the waiter was shocked saying we'd never manage it! As we waited, we thought maybe we'd ordered too much but we had 4 hours til the restaurant closed so we were in no rush! As it happens, we managed 6 tapas, basket of bread, pudding, a cheeseboard, bottle of wine and liqueur. Don't know what that says about us! We didn't find the portions huge but they were delicious: The fried Lanzarote goats cheese and black pudding with baked strawberry and pepper cream gets a special mention. Staff were really warm, welcoming and funny. We're really glad we chose the old harbour to stay in as it's a lot quieter and with lots of great eateries serving fresh and artistically presented food.

If you're in Puerto del Carmen, it's worth it to check this place out. Great service,…read moreEnglish-speaking staff, great selection of beef and veal as well as seafood options. The ambiance is upscale and the restaurant and restrooms were impeccably clean. There is a full bar along with an extensive wine and beer list. I don't eat veal so I didn't try my husband's dish, but the highlight for me was the salmon. Another note... it's located very close to the bus stop offering easy access if you're coming from a different part of the island.

We felt rushed by the staff who were mostly unfriendly and brusque...we had main meals followed by dessert. mains were sole with prawns and lobster sauce..rubbery and tasteless...ribs in barbecue sauce...small portion and lacking in meatiness..grilled Seabass..quite acceptable, however the baked potatoes and vegetables were inedible. We opted for three different desserts, best of which was the chocolate mousse; brownies were completely tough and stale - which was attempted to be disguised by an overload of artificial chocolate sauce; the banoffi pie was equally tasteless with a miserable amount of toffee sauce. To add insult to injury...we were offered a free nightcap of schnapps ( on presentation of the full bill despite our complaints and disappointment with the overall meal) ...this consisted of the cheapest brand of "Spar" own brand Apple schnapps ....basically flavoured sugar and water! This is a restaurant which generally has a pretty good reputation and is always busy, but to my mind it is now too "touristy" and they have lost the attention to detail and production of fine dining and good quality food. Please note , as far as I can discern, other reviewers are referring to the adjoining "Bodega" which is part of this establishment but appears to have a more tapas type menu!

Before we even arrived, I reached out because I had some questions about food allergies and concerns prior to making reservations, and the customer service and immediate detailed response from Mrs Anabel Távara were so helpful and reassuring. After her responsiveness, I was excited to set up our reservations, which she was also able to assist with. We were staying about 45 mins away, and I was hoping the ride was worth it, and it definitely was. Each item had something special about it and it was like just when you thought you've tasted something that couldn't be beat, you would receive your next serving which fired up your taste buds all over again. IF we had any complaints, it was the fact that the menu is a tasting menu, and we wanted MORE!! Lol The family were all involved and welcoming, and it was so nice to meet them all. Each dish was made with warmth and heart. The food was fresh, and several of the ingredients were from their family garden. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. Even the aesthetic of the restaurant, along with the food, were all creative works of art They are open Monday through Thursday, 18.00 (6 pm) to 22.00 hrs (10 pm).

The restaurant is only open on Monday's and Wednesday's which just so happen to work out for us. The chef has an open viewing area so you can see everything that is happening in the kitchen. Everything is local, prepared to order and de-licious!! I ate the Iberian roasted pork for dinner while my husband ate the suckling pig. I have to say that while my food was fantastic, his was better. We also had appetizers, desserts, and drank local wine. I'm also pretty sure that we were he only newbies to the restaurant. It seemed like everyone else who was seated had been there plenty of times before. For the two of us to have all courses and a bottle of wine and bottle of water it only ran us about €120-ish. We highly recommend dining here. It's pretty shmancy but well worth it - you're on vacay! Also, make reservations or you won't eat this amazing food at all. ;)
