As it happens, we managed 6 tapas, basket of bread, pudding, a cheeseboard, bottle of wine and liqueur. Don't know what that says about us! We didn't find the portions huge but they were delicious: The fried Lanzarote goats cheese and black pudding with baked strawberry and pepper cream gets a special mention. Staff were really warm, welcoming and funny. We're really glad we chose the old harbour to stay in as it's a lot quieter and with lots of great eateries serving fresh and artistically presented food.

Kill them with kindness I always say. Plus, what's the rush guys, you're on holiday, bloody relax! I sampled beautiful Rioja in this place, the food was of very high standard, my highlight being the biggest freshest mussels I had seen in a while and their gin concoctions come in massive goblets with generous amounts of gin and quality tonic mixers. I ended up visiting Tasca la Raspa three times during my stay. Dinner starts at around 8pm but ensure you arrive a bit earlier, maybe for an aperitif, as the place will fill up fairly quickly.

In fact it is right next door to a brand new boutique Hotel, Lanis Suites de Luxe, on the main Avienda. It would be particularly romantic for dinner on a warm sunny evening.
