This was a wonderful spot to see solera winemaking methods in real time, which they use to make their sweet wine. The outdoor terrace was a lovely spot to taste the delicious wines. Their restaurant was closed on the day of our visit; we would love to return to try it as we are certain the quality would be exquisite given our experience on the wine tour. Their wine shop also offered an extensive selection of local cheeses and artisan products - perfect if you want a higher-end gift or souvenir from Lanzarote.

To add insult to injury...we were offered a free nightcap of schnapps ( on presentation of the full bill despite our complaints and disappointment with the overall meal) ...this consisted of the cheapest brand of "Spar" own brand Apple schnapps ....basically flavoured sugar and water! This is a restaurant which generally has a pretty good reputation and is always busy, but to my mind it is now too "touristy" and they have lost the attention to detail and production of fine dining and good quality food. Out of the white wines, try bermejo from the island. Complex with minerality. Not as much acidity as sancerrre or Sauvignon Blanc. The best tapa was bruschetta with iberico ham and tomatoes - the best bruschetta I had in my life. Soft but slightly toasted bread with big chunks of tomato and iberico ham. Divine! SOLID: sweet potato cakes with coriander, golfo and smoked cheese. Soft and sweet. Crunchy ok the outside. Definitely worth trying it. Padron pepper was also great, not too soggy full of flavor. SKIP: marinated octopus salad - a bit on the fishy side. Wasn't a huge fan.
