Now the food... As soon as they bought the first appetizer (morcillas) we felt the island culinary richness. The alcapurrias, OMG as perfect as they can be and if you know what this are, you understand the complexity of getting it right, the Rellenos de Papas, different on the outside but the same rich savory flavor. Pernil (pork) was moist, not greasy and well-seasoned, tasteful cuerito. Default on the side was the Mayo-ketchup for the salad, how more Puerto Rican could it get? The tostones were fried to perfection with mashed garlic on top. The chuletas smelled like chicharron just the right amount of tenderness, flavorful with the crispy edges. The arroz blanco, habichuelas and carne guisada (rice & beans with beef stew) bring back our mothers and grandmothers' taste to the mouth. Cuajito, now we knew we had to take our hats off for the authentic incredibly good taste. Is not a place for selfies but to eat excellent traditional Puerto Rican food, so if you're in Philadelphia or nearby I highly recommend you stop here and get the true taste of Puerto Rico!!!!!

Authentic Puertorican cuisine. Steak and tostones are my favorite. I get the yucca all the time…read more Rotisserie chicken excellent. They also serve morcilla, not all places make good but her it is delicious. N
