I really enjoy the food here, and the prices are great, so it's disappointing to leave this rating. I've been here a few times, but this visit left a bad impression. When I checked my receipt, I noticed I was charged $1.98 for a bottled water I didn't order. When I asked about it, the cashier, Jose, first said it was for ice. When my wife asked for clarification, he changed his answer, saying it was for filtered tap water--$1.00 for the water and $0.98 for tax. The food is excellent, but be sure to check your bill before paying. Unfortunately, it seems like overcharging customers is acceptable here.

Next to pupusas, soup and other Salvadoran foods, they have sandwiches, breakfasts and other menu items that would be more at home on a diner menu than a Salvadoran restaurant menu. Since I am pretty much obsessed with pupusas, I went with three pupusas. They were fairly priced at three dollars a piece. The ordering process is relatively straightforward. You go to the counter and place your order. When it is ready, they bring it to your table. My pupusas were brought to me with the expected slaw and sauce. I find that the best pupusas that I have had here in this country were in Nashville, Tennessee and I found some great pupusas at a flea market on Orange Blossom Trail here in Orlando, Florida, but comparing it to other pupusas that I have tried here in Orlando (other than the ones at the OBT Flea Market), they were good. Not great, not the type that would haunt my dreams, but good. If you are looking for a local place, this place is not a bad place. Not great, but overall decent. Overall, I will give it four stars.

If you are unfamiliar with pupusas, they are a Salvadoran culinary delight. Think of them as a glorious meat pancake and you will only get to about halfway to the glory of what a pupusa can be. Pulling into a shopping plaza that has definitely seen better days. Parking was a bit limited, but not too much of an ordeal. El Paraiso Latino is certainly a very humble place, the kind of establishment that you would not look at twice, but missing this place would indeed be your loss. It is usually at these hole-in-the-wall type places that you will find some great food and here was no exception. I ordered two pupusas and a steak taco. The steak taco was a bit small, however it was tasty. The pupusas were decently sized and were also tasty. Prices were a little higher than what I normally pay, but not by much. This lunch was a bit over twelve dollars and I walked out feeling stuffed and contented.

The foord is horrible, i ordered A super Antojito which is 26.00 bucks and the food quality is the worse, warm , and greasy, it tasted like it was triple fried purchased some tamales and they were soft and without any flavor.Plus we purchased 8 pupusas to eat and go ,they didn't have any flavor. Plus we ordered 3 pupusas to go with bean and cheese and they gave us 3 with only cheese, after asking the server, if they were the right order ,i made... I contacted the owner saids that it was a human mistake, like he paid my bill , and eat for free, I live 1 hour away from there, and i made a trip there because the previous owners they had an outstanding restaurant, that's the reason i went back . Not knowing that this new owner doesn't give a crap about customer service or what he give his clientele. All he cares about what money they spend and don't care about it . I will never go back to this location and the owner Miguel is the worse ,giving an excuse for his employees stupidity and not caring that i live an hour away and will not be able to get back and deal with the issue . Don't waste your money on a place that their food is mediocre and expensive.Never again.. Ernest...

This is a small family operated shop everyone was friendly and our server kindly answered our questions. There are a few tables to dine in, with plates and flatware; not paper and plastic. I had cheese pupusas, cabbage salad and plantains. For those who don't know I would describe pupusa as a hot sandwich it looks similar to a pita bread but is made of corn flour. It's filled with choices of meat, beans, and cheese. I will be back with non vegetarian family to try more options. The cheese pupusa was hot and Delicias as promised! cabbage salad was basically a creamy coleslaw. Some pickled cabbage also came with the pupusa. Both were very good. Plantains were sliced thin and fried, sweet and ripe, they were served with a rich cream sauce. Pickled onions were also offered we they were very good but I don't eat onions. My SO had a breakfast of eggs, corn tortilla, large slice of white cheese, refried beans and plantains. He ate all the beans and made an egg sandwich with the rest. This might not be the traditional way to eat a Salvadoran breakfast but he enjoyed it. He also had a house salad which he said was very fresh. I will be telling others to try this spot!

I've had pupusas a few times, but it's been a while so I was really excited to come to Pupusas & Burritos Grill. When I saw they did a unique take on pizza as well I decided I had to get both options to see how they were. It turns out, both were awesome! The pizza was a bit like a typical "Florida Pizza" so to speak in that it wasn't super thin, it wasn't crispy, it wasn't wood oven, etc - it had a fluffy dough and a good amount of sauce and cheese. But what set it apart was the huge flavor! The sauce was really tasty, the dough was tasty and the cheese was good quality and stretchy without being oily. The added pesto all over the pizza was like someone just pureed fresh basil - it was SO good. The best "margarita" style pizza I've had in a long time! The Pupusas were exactly what you'd expect. A nice dough with a cheesy bean mixture inside which was both really tasty and made you want to eat it all in seconds. The side salad / coleslaw was surprisingly good as well, with a great oil and vinegar type dressing that made me eat it all up when I often leave coleslaw uneaten. Overall I loved everything - the girl who took the order was really nice and the food came out fast. Will definitely go back.

But I'll pay for a good horchata and they had bomb horchata in the past. The pupusas were also disappointing. I'm devastated. Beans were dry and old. Not creamy. The others were...ok. This went from a 5 star to a 1 star. And service went from stellar, to McDonald's. So sad!!!
